Kova decided that this was a really good day to wander away for a little bit it wound't hurt at all to take some time and get some fresh air away from the pride. However he knew one thing was for sure that he was looking for a certain lioness that he had already ran into. Tzi was a sweet lioness that he had ran into before he was interested into knowing that if she was going to be joining the pride any time soon, he really hoped that she would be, she was interested into music and all and he didn't see tha many lions around that liked music, or at least that he knew was not in the pride. It was nice meeting others that were not in the pride, he was glad that his parents let him wander away more than the other pride members did.
He moved toward the one place that he had been to before, he smiled softly then picked up his pace some. He was really looking forward to spending some time at the watering hole he had been to many time before, he had ran into others there before they were all good company so it would be interested into running into them. It was hot out and it was a prefect day to spend some time swimming. He grinned as he started to wade into the water, flicking his ail around as he did. Smiling slightly he loved the feeling of the water against his coat. He really needed it, he needed some time to cool off.

Kudha was parched.
He had been out on the desert, hunting for his sisters (yet again). This time, he had been too long in returning, and was so thirsty, his tongue kept getting stuck to the top of his mouth. He sniffed....was that, water?! Suddenly filled with energy, he stretched his burned-out muscles to the max, loping unevenly to the water's edge.
Tongue lapping in and out of his dusty muzzle, Kudha drank his fill before turning to see a young brown lion. He peered at the youngster for a moment, then grinned, standing up and walking towards the lion. "Hello, there! The name's Kudha. I suppose you were hot and tired, too? Is that why you're out here by the water hole?"
Kudha didn't know the youngster, but he wasn't one to be unfriendly! Besides, maybe this kid was a local, and knew something about one of his sisters. They had gone missing a long time ago, when Kudha was just a cub. He had vowed to protect them...but then he had been unable to keep that vow. After he lost them, he never saw them again...but he knew he would find them eventually. After all, how many places could they possibly have gone?

Kova was in his own world wading in the waters. He leaned down to lap up some of the water before jumping at the sound of another's voice. He was not expecting that at all. He didn't smell the other creature coming and he was really not expecting some one to walk up on him, he didn't see anyone else on his way toward the watering hole. He quickly turned around making sure that it wasn't a dangerous lion. He sure seemed friendly. He knew that he was pretty friendly it ran in his family however he knew for a fact that they weren't really that friendly.... Okay maybe he was but he didn't like being caught off guard. He could hear his mother's voice in the back of his head. Warning him to be nice and not to make a food out of himself in front of another.
"Well hello to you too." He put on his happy face, shaking out his mini mane and his trying to get some water off of his chin. A smile grew on his face before he started to step out of the water a bit. "Yes,it's a little too hot for me today." He chuckled a bit, he knew his coat wasn't that dark but it still got pretty hot in these lands. "What brings you out here? I've never seen you before. What's your name?" He asked curiously.

Kudha realized that not all were as friendly as they seemed. However, this young lion seemed to perfectly well-mannered and nice. How fortunate! "I'm out here....well, it's a bit of a long story, but let's just say that I lost some lionesses a long time ago, and I need to find them...because they're my sisters and I was supposed to keep them safe. What brings you here? Do you live here? ...I'm sorry, what is your name? Mine is Sikudhani, but you can call me Kudha."
The youngster certainly seemed happy enough. Maybe it was just the last of his childhood innocence that kept him from behaving stoically like all the other adults. Kudha didn't know, but he was thankful for it. Most older felines had something better to do with their time than talk to the likes of him. Kudha was almost grateful for someone to talk to...after all, he had been out looking for his sisters for an awfully long time now. Some company and a bit of rest would do him good.

Kova looked at the male and made a small face at the idea of the other male loosing his sisters. "Oh my." He said quietly as he looked down at his paws. "I'd be upset if I lost my sister, or any of my brothers." His voice trailed then he looked at the male with a soft smile. He realized how small of a family he had, many of the others in his pride had big litters... He snapped out of his thoughts then smiled at the lion once more. "Well I haven't really seen many out here. I live in a pride not that far away so I don't see many out here." He shrugged but then grinned at him. "My name is Kova'Rytmi, most just call me Kova though. It's nice to meet you Kudha." He nodded before flicking his hair out of his eyes.

Kudha smiled at the young lion. "It's something you learn to deal with," he said simply, his eyes speaking of deep-seated sadness. True, it was something Kudha had learned to deal with, but he could never erase the sorrow that came with the knowledge that his sisters were missing.
"We are well met, Kova," he said, a friendly smile on his face.
"Oh, so you are a native. I thought you might be. So tell me, what's your pride like?" Kudha was genuinely curious. If there were prides out here, perhaps someone found his two sisters and took them in. It was possible, and it brought new hope to Kudha's spirits.

Kova smiled at the other male then gave him a sympathetic look he felt horrible that the other male didn't know where his sisters were, he knew that he would be very upset if he dind't know where his siblings were, well in that case if they ran off in general. He wondered what the male's parents thought of that.. or if he even had parents. He smiled at the male before nodding. "I really hope that you find them some day." He said a little quietly before looking at the area around him.
"It's nice to meet you too." He gave the male a friendly smile as his attention turned back to him. "I guess you can say I'm a native." He let out a chuckle then grinned he had a chance to tell some one about his pride. that was always his favorite thing to do. Just like his mother he liked to educate others about music. "I live in a pride called the Nchi'Mahadhi. It's a pride based around music."

Kudha smiled and nodded. "I'm sure I will. If I search long enough, and hard enough, I will find them eventually." How long "eventually" was, he didn't know. He was aware that he could spend his whole life searching for them without finding a single trace of their whereabouts. But he couldn't stop trying. If he gave up, he would never be reunited with the remnants of his family.
"Music? I've never heard of musical lions before. Or of music itself, really. My mother...she used to hum lullabies to us before she died, but...other than that, I don't really know what music is." Kudha racked his brain. The word "music" brought memories of his mothers hushed lullabies, a pack of jackals howling at the moon, and the sounds of the savanna at night. But surely that wasn't what Kova meant.

Kova smiled slightly before nodded toward him once more. He really couldn't help but to feel bad for the male. He wondered what his sisters were thinkings. Did they miss him? "I'll keep an eye out for them. I'm more than sure that they miss you. If I see them I'll tell them that I seen you around here. Maybe you should stick around i see a lot of lions come and go around here." He then looked down at his paws before looking back at him. "I'll tell my mom to look out for them. She likes to wander around here a lot." He nodded at the idea, it was very true his mother always found time for everything, raising cubs, taking care of the pride matters and even spending time with his dad. She was superwoman in his eyes.
"Thats a really good example of music!" He nodded with a large grin on his face before standing up. "I don't have any drums yet, OH! Drums are gourds with animal skin on them, but I can still make music. By dancing." He chuckled slightly before starting to tap his feet to a rhythm as he listened to the water. "Music is all around you if you know it or not. The sound that the water is making. That's music. You can add something such as the simple tap of a foot or the sound of rattling shakers and you can make any kind of music." He started to hum adding to the sound of the water and his feet on the ground. Grinning ear to ear as he did, he loved music more than anything. He quickly let his sounds face before grinning at the other male. "Music can be very exciting or music. But I really like it either way. I grew up with it, It's really great."

"I'd appreciate that," he said, a worried expression on his face. "I don't know if they miss me or not. I haven't seen them for a long, long time." He rolled his shoulders, shaking off his apprehension. "But I'm sure I'll find them someday, if I just keep looking."
Kudha listened. It was it's own form of magic, this music. For one who had never truly been exposed to it, Kudha found that he did indeed like music! It was something new and exciting. And Kova seemed to really enjoy it, even though he'd been around it his whole life. Kudha thought that was amazing, to love something so much that you never got tired of it. That no matter what, you always had one thing that could make you happy.
Truth be told, though, Kudha didn't know much about dancing either. He thought it was strange, watching the younger lion. But he grinned anyway, smiling as he admired the strange, yet somehow wonderful, music Kova made. "I don't know if I could ever make any music of my own," he confided, "but I think I'm learning to appreciate it."

Kova smiled then shrugged slightly. "I'm way more than sure that they miss you. They're family and even if they think you've passed they would still miss you." He nodded matter a factually before laughing slightly. "Yeah I'd suggest keep going and keep looking for them."
Kova chuckled a little bit before nodding toward the lion and then flicked his hair out of his eyes and smiled. "Music is wonderful." He chuckled before flicking his hair out of his eyes then laughing. Before wiggling around a little bit. "Everyone can make music, everything cna make music." Others probably thought he was crazy saying that. "But if you don't believe the same that is alright, not everyone agrees with it." He let out a playful laught.

Kudha pondered the young lion's words. Would his sisters really miss a lion long lost, possibly forgotten? It was true, they were all the family they had left. But could that fact really cause bonds that lasted through ages of time, even though they were separated? He wasn't sure. But he knew that he would always miss his sisters. Perhaps they felt that way, too.
Kova's enthusiasm was contagious. Kudha found himself grinning goofishly at the brown-tufted lion. "It looks like so much fun, the way you're going on about it. But I'm not sure I've seen enough of the world to know if everything can make music," he said lightly. "But, perhaps, the world won't seem like such a quiet, lonely place if I can find the music in it."

Kova was glad to see the other lion interested into what he was saying. He was just like his mother. He loved to see interest in what he was mostly when it was interest into him talking about music. He would get really excited when anyone showed interest into music. It would make his day if some one even thought about it again in their life after meeting him. Because of the thrill of teaching others about music he was starting to love to go out to the rogue lands and meet other lions that weren't in his pride.
"Everything can make music! If you listen carefully even your heartbeat makes music." He grinned widely his head thinking so many ideas he was getting so excite. "Music is very comforting and knowing that it's every where does make being alone a little less sad."

Kudha smiled. "Well, I'm alone a lot. Maybe I'll start trying to listen to the music of nature more often." He glanced up at the sky. "Speaking of which...it's starting to get late. I should be heading off if I want to make good time." He sighed. He would miss this place, this young lion. Even though he had known him only a short while, Kudha had learned a great deal from Kova. Usually, it was the elder who taught the younger, but this time, it seemed, fate had decided to reverse things.
"It was good to meet you, Kova. Maybe our paths will cross again someday." He grinned. "After all, I'll probably pass this way again on my way home." Perhaps he would come looking for Kova when he returned. Kudha didn't have very many friends, what with his constant travels, and had become a bit fond of the lion, though he'd known him only a short time.

Kova chuckled before nodding toward the male. "I hope we do meet again. It would be interesting." He looked back toward the pride, he just not realized how late it was, his mom and dad weren't at the pride at the moment so he really didn't have anything to worry aobut he would be able to tkae a little more time at the watering hole before he started to head home. "It was nice meeting you Kudha."
