I am the man who walks alone And when I'm walking a dark road At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change I sometimes feel a little strange A little anxious when it's dark
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there
Have you run your fingers down the wall And have you felt your neck skin crawl When you're searching for the light? Sometimes when you're scared to take a look At the corner of the room You've sensed that something's watching you
Have you ever been alone at night Thought you heard footsteps behind And turned around and no one's there? And as you quicken up your pace You find it hard to look again Because you're sure there's someone there
Watching horror films the night before Debating witches and folklore The unknown troubles on your mind I know your mind is playing tricks You sense, and suddenly eyes fix On dancing shadows from behind
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there
When I'm walking a dark road I am the man who walks alone

Ohanzee padded alongside his mate, his long tongue lolling out of his mouth, muck dripping to the ground each time he took a step. It had been a while since he'd returned to what he was meant to be...now he gave Kamaria a side-long look, grinning wickedly as he remembered their encounters. She craved chaos and twisted games as he did, she wished to be his forever, and he wished the same of her. Nothing would break that link their dark hearts had grown. His dark eyes focused in on far off figures, unable to tell who they were yet. "My dear Kamaria...We have company..."
Kaya had run into her sister once again, this time actually stopping to talk with her as best was possible. Though, growing up hearing the gurgled words helped in her understanding her sister clearly enough. She sat back, grey-green eyes closed as she spoke of recent hunts and the like. It was always interesting to listen as Nenetl told her own stories. They were so very different from her own. Though the jagged scars on her shoulder had healed for the most part, a barrier as hard and thick as steel had risen as protection from those she deemed even slightly dangerous. Though she talked with her, Nenetl was no exception.

Kamaria let out a soft yawn, her eyes blinking open quickly when she heard Ohanzee's voice. "Company?" Glancing over, she could only just pinpoint the silhouetted figures in the distance. Stretching out, she slowly shifted her paws into a standing position and nuzzled up against her mate lovingly. "Well... friends or foes... they'd make lovely dinner... guests..." She added the last part of that statement with a rather bit of vagueness. "Wouldn't they?"
Nenetl's ears flicked away from her sister. Her eyes narrowed slightly at the female before her and she only shook her head. She hadn't been expecting Kaya to suddenly appear in front of her. With that she had decided that she should be at least somewhat civil, Kaya was blood after all. However, there was always something about the female that irked Nenetl the wrong way. Kaya had always been... somewhat of a goody goody. And well, that definitely did not suit Nenetl at all. "Soooooo.... what hasssssss.... bro....t... you... herrrrreeeeesssss....?" Came the sound of gravel scraping against a shovel. It was a harsh sound, a sound that Nenetl reserved only for those whom she deemed worthy enough to hear her voice, so in a way, perhaps, a part of her did accept Kaya as being family, though there wasn't a single part of her that would admit to that.

Ohanzee nuzzled his mate's cheek lovingly, grinning hearing her. With a soft grunt his stretched out fully, then stood up, looking closer to the others. It remained a mystery until he heard the familiar, unique, voice of his daughter Nenetl. His eyes widened for a moment, then he saw brown fur. Both of his daughters were here. He nudged Kamaria a bit. "Time you met some of my spawn my dear.."
Kaya looked at her sisters stitches and fought off thoughts of their missing mother, focusing on the raspy words that came from her stitched mouth instead. "I was on a hunt. The prey escaped though...it lead me this way until I saw you." A scent reaches her nose causing her head to jerk, eyes wide. "Nenetl...recognize that...?" Tail twitches as she scans the area, feeling agitated.

"Spawn?" At the sound of that, Kamaria rose to her feet and mused. Squinting her eyes she tried to make out the lionesses in the distance but her eyes failed to pick up on everything until the two of them were close enough. Her tail twitched as she suddenly felt very out of place. Both females did have a remarkable familiarity about them, neither one of them looking too far off from the coloring of Ohanzee. Feeling a little overprotective, Kamaria glanced down, placing a paw to her stomach before her eyes shifted over to him, lacing that same paw over his instead. "Who is this My Love?"
Nenetl did indeed recognize the voice. Her eyes narrowed further as if annoyed. She turned her face to see her father and a strange female walking toward them. Nenetl beat her tail across the floor, her tongue scraping across her teeth inside of her mouth. "Ffffffffaatthhherrr..." She stated with a great strain on her voice. She was unsure rather she was happy or not to see him, but when it came to this female... she most definitely was not. Family, in her opinion, rather sister or father, was something she could do without. Rather they shared her views on life or death.

Sensing some odd emotions from his mate he stopped for a moment and pulled her closer, licking her neck affectionatly as a soft growl left him. "You will always be my Queen Kamaria..." His eyes fasten to the spot on the brown lionesses shoulder where his fangs had sunk in. The scars were tiny, but he remembered it well. He took a deep breath, then motioned with his paw, his tail swishing in agitation now. He did not like it when Kamaria was unhappy. "Nenetl and...Kaya...They are spawn of a lioness that hated the monster that I am. She could not accept who I was..." He hated talking about Annelise.
Kaya glared at the strange lioness, her hackles rising slightly in agitation as her father got closer and licked her. He'd gotten over Mother rather quickly hadn't he...? He truly was a monster. As her sister called him Father she let out a soft growl, claws unsheathing then retracting over and over. "Who is that you have there...Father..." Venom dripped from each letter of that last word as she said it. In all honesty she hated his guts. She despised having looks that matched him, including the dreadful tongue.

Kamaria immediately soaked up the attention, purring softly as she nuzzled against his fur in a loving manner, licking his cheek. "And you are my King... now and forever..." Her voice faded out when she noticed the two girls out of the corner of her eye. Spawn... from another lioness... She instantly became jealous of this other female, already having bore children from him. That should have been her right, and her right alone. Hearing Kaya's words and the tone behind them, she narrowed her eyes, showing her fangs for a few seconds, "I am Kamaria... your father's new mate." She stated this with pride, instantly sitting up straightly to show just how honored she was.
Nenetl watched everything going on between her family. She kept her eyes on them but said nothing. The drama was slightly funny, and yet a little annoying at the same time since it involved her. Stupid lions. Such stupid pathetic lions that they were.

Hearing the way his eldest spoke to him brought the twisted grin back to his face, now relaxed once more. He loved how she despised him, it gave him such joy. Hearing his mate's pride in being his, he licked her neck, lightly dragging his teeth against the back of her neck. Feeling satisfied with Kaya's reaction he tuned her out and padded over to his other daughter, the one he actually enjoyed. "Nenetl...you have grown since I last saw you...Tell me, have any good kills lately...?" He loved how she'd turned out, the darker intentions than Kaya.
Kaya padded closer to the lioness who spoke to her, the one who belonged to the swamp monster she'd once considered her father. "Heh...your proud of that Kamaria? Do you even know why I hate his guts...? He left my Mother, slapping her when she begged him to stay...he dug his fangs into my neck trying to kill me. His own spawn...he is dark...darker than you know...Your future offspring can't possibly be safe with him...nor can You..."

At Kaya's words Kamaria narrowed her eyes at the girl. She stepped forward, her face nearly in Kaya's, "Ohanzee is everything I could ever hope or wish for! He will be an amazing father! How dare you speak of him that way! Your mother had no clue what she had, and for him to have left her the way he did she must have been weak and stupid! You need to learn your place and never speak about him again like that." Her paw instantly went to her stomach, unsure if it was time to reveal that little bit of information or if she should wait.
Within moments, Kamaria felt a paw backhand her across the cheek with claws stuck out. Stricken, her head turned to see the same eyes that Ohanzee had staring back at her, but these weren't Ohanzee's eyes, they belonged to Nenetl.
The younger of the two girls glared at the female, hate baring straight in her eyes. Her tail flicked heavily back and forth as if it were a wild serpent, "Dooonnn'tt... youuuu... darrrreee... sppppppeeeaaaakkk of myyy eggggg donnnorrr thatttt waaaayyy.." Hissing deeply, she locked her eyes with Kamaria for a good long moment before turning to eye her father as if to challenge him to strike her for that. She didn't care who he thought he was, or who he thought this new female was, but no one disrespected her family that way.

A feeling of pride filled him as he heard his mate speak as she did, so when he saw the daughter he was the most proud of back paw her, he stood up, rigid, between the two, his wing draped protectivly over his mate. Boiling rage filled his dark eyes as his hackles rose and his fangs showed. "If you feel so strongly of her then go find her...You have no right to strike my mate! Kamaria is more to me than Annelise ever was...Annelise made me hide my darker feelings. If you cannot accept Kamaria, then both of you...Get out of my sight..." A thunderous roar left him as he moved closer, aiming his fangs at Nenetl, not caring where he'd hit, or even if he did at all. He just wanted her to pay.
Kaya had been about to strike Kamaria when her sister did it instead. Her eyes grew wide in shock, having expected Nenetl to simply ignore everything. Some form of pride and respect for the stitched lioness filled her as she quickly moved by her side, snapping her teeth together in Ohanzee's face when he tried to bite. "Nenetl is right. Neither of you have any right...I..." No further words could form on her lips as fury and pride boiled inside her. She no longer feared the swamp monster, thanks to the last lioness she'd expected.

Nenetl narrowed her eyes at all this s**t. She growled in frustration, not hate or anger, and flicked her tail. As her father went to bite her and her sister bent in to take it instead, she had finally had enough, "SSSSSHHHUTTTT IT!" Her hiss was like a loud roar and she stared angrily at both sides, ignoring that Kamaria existed at all. "Yyyyoouuu alllll... arrrreeeee iddddioootts!" Her voice scraped over what sounded like pebbles. She turned her gaze toward her father, "Youuu... I knnnooowww what sssshhhheee meaaannnt to youuu... rathhhherrr you dennnny itttt or nottt... buttttt that issssss not the qqquesstion.. I ammm not dennyinnnnggg that you have mmmmoooovvved on. Ggggoood for you! Buttt.. you hhhaveee no righttt to speak abbout herrr... like thattt... especccciially in frrronnt of Kaya. Llearrrn ressssspect!" Her voice was growing tired from being used so much. "Youuu... arrreee myyy fatttthhherrr... and willl allllwayssss bee... ratther you haaaattte me or nottt..." She took a deep breath to try and still her voice for a moment. "I willll sttttayyy in youuuurrr life, butt... I do nooottt wish to hearrr worddssss about my mooottthhher that wayyy... jjjjuuusssst liiike you don't abbboouuut herrrr..." She moved to point toward Kamaria.
Kamaria didn't know what to say, instead her ears went straight back against her skull and she stuck by Ohanzee's side, not moving from her spot.

Ohanzee pulled short, catching the look in Kaya's eyes. He stood his ground, keeping Kamaria close to his side as he listened to Nenetl's raspy voice. Though he'd never admit to it she spoke the truth. He had loved Annelise and he didn't really mean to talk so badly about her. It was his nature and they had simply went seperate ways. When Nenetl finished speaking he took a deep breath, placed a paw on her shoulder for a moment, then leaned down to nuzzle his mate, wanting her to feel comforted. "All is safe my love...I will respect their wishes...I would not want others to speak ill of you..."
Kaya jumped to the side not expecting her sister to explode. As she spoke Kaya sat down, listening to her younger sister, nodding in agreement. For a long while she did not move, but then she stood and moved in just enough to nudge her Father's head. "Alright..." She then pulled away, gave Nenetl a lick on the cheek that she did quickly knowing her sister wasn't the biggest on affection, then sat down again, ready to go. "No more fighting..."

Kamaria didn't know what to say, but she heard herself let out a grunt at everything that was going on. Her paw went protectively to her stomach when she viewed the two girls, she had a feeling that the younger of the two... the stitched one... would have no problem killing her children if she had the chance. This made Kamaria want to growl at her but she instantly stopped when she saw the look that Nenetl gave her, the same look that Ohanzee would get in his eyes. "Fine..." She stated a little less gently than she could have.
Nenetl sat down straightly, her chest puffing out a bit as the majority ruled in her favor. She glanced from her father, to the... whore... and then back to her sister. It would take a while, but perhaps she could at least get Kaya and Ohanzee back on speaking terms... maybe. Feeling the lick on her cheek, her eyes shifted immediately to Kaya and then in an instant she latched onto the back of Kaya's neck and let out a playful growl, as if they were still cubs. She had no intention of hurting Kaya, but she may have bit down a little too hard before she let go, nudging Kaya's cheek with her nose.

Ohanzee watched his mate hold her stomach protectivly, gently nuzzling there for a moment before he licked her cheek in a loving manner. "Shall we tell them my love...?" He felt no need to hide it, the fact that she was how she was gave him a feeling of pride. When he saw how his youngest bit his eldest he couldn't help but grin knowing it was a show of affection. When his eyes met Kaya's for a moment he silently wished that both of them would get past what he'd done to her. But for now he couldn't be happier.
Kaya's eyes grew wide when she felt Nenetl's mouth clamp down on the back of her neck. It didn't hurt much, she'd just been caught off guard. Quickly she realized why she'd done it, a happy purr leaving her when Nenetl nudged her cheek. That little action made her forget about the pain at least for now. She nudged back gently, then stood up, smiling at her younger sister. When she looked back over her eyes met her Father's. Memories of the near death bite hit her again but she pushed it aside. He was certainly messed up in the head but...he was her Father. Very quickly she padded closer and licked his cheek, then nuzzled the female to show no hard feelings. "I'd better be going now. Mahkah needs me at home." She turned to head home, stopping to nod toward Nenetl. "Don't be a stranger. Your welcome to visit whenever Nenetl. Mahkah wants to see you..." With that she headed off.
