Out again, out again, out again. Hekima wondered if his mother kept tabs on how many times he left the pride on a weekly basis, but feared the fact she did so. Regardless, that fear wasn't enough to sway him of his want to go out into the Rogue Lands and scout more people to the pride, or just look for some friendly conversation, which he felt he needed badly.

The adult leopon was hunched over a young gazelle he managed to take down as he was feeling hungry. The gazelle wasn't a baby per say but it was definitely on the young side, he suspected it may not have even bred yet, though that was besides the point. Hekima grabbed another hunk full of his prey between his jowls and tore it off, chewing on it lazily. He was in no hurry to finish, and he was able to defend his kill pretty well if need be, so he wasn't worried.

User ImageThe scent of blood had drawn Saeyth, not because she was hungry, but because blood meant wounds... big wounds for some poor creature. Around her neck hung sprigs of various herbs, mostly medicinal things - plants to numb and plants to scare away infection, she carried a veritable apothecary about her neck.

When she happened upon Hekima feeding, however, she stopped at the edge of the clearing he'd made with a soft 'oh'. Ears flicked back against her head at the sight of the glassy-eyed gazelle, "It's already dead... I'm sorry, I won't bother your meal. I thought someone was hurt."

Hekima looked up at who had approached, a female with herbs hanging around her neck. He recognized many of them, as his mother had once, and still does, use them herself. He blinked at the lioness and her words slightly.

"Well, it was hurt...but than I killed it to eat," He answered.

Sometimes Hekima wasn't good with words and only managed to spew out the obvious, it was sometimes charming, sometimes not. He was getting better at catching how he said things and smiled awkwardly, "Sorry. I don't converse much. Uhmm....Are you hungry? There's plenty here."

He nudged the carcass towards the lioness as a gesture of good will. He gazed at her once more as his eyes were drawn to the herbs hanging about her neck, "You're a healer?"

"I noticed." She smiled, gaze sliding to the dead beast as she stepped back a pace or two.

His offered of food, however, stirred the memory of hunger and Saeyth blinked, surprised, "You would share your kill...?" Tentatively, the female moved forward and bent to take a dainty mouthful, eyes ever on this stranger - food was food, and free food even better.

The question hung in the air for a moment before she nodded, lifting a paw to her chest, "I am... or was, at any rate. A rogue healer I guess is the proper term. I travel and test my tinctures and new plants. Did you need something?"

"I'm not strapped for food," The male smiled, delighted in the fact that the lioness had accepted his meal offering. He hadn't shared a meal with anyone in awhile. Generally he grabbed a kill and brought it back to the cubs for food, since the adults were far busier with their tasks than he was. He was only a soldier after all.

The lionesses answer made his ears perk. A rogue healer, just like his mother, this was quite interesting. He shook his head at her as he responded, "Oh no. I am in no need of healing. If I was I would return to my Mum so she could have a look at it. She's a healer like yourself. I'm just delighted to find another healer like her."

It was true, he knew no other healers. He knew some rogues and some warriors, and many, many cubs, but no other healers like his mother. When he was but a cub himself, he though she may be the only one in existence, though of course that couldn't be true as he'd seen far too many lions, cheetahs and leopards with skillfully healed wounds, suggesting there was more out there somewhere.
