Wtf am I LOOKING at?!" eek I know they are pretty much the same, but it seemed like another language at first. sweatdrop What's your intake on it? blaugh

I was always with Bass clef. I learned Treble on Tuba. 4laugh
I had no lesson to teach me, I learned it by ear. I find it really easy to switch between the two immediately.

Back when I played baritone, I was the only one who played in treble. Everyone else always played bass. It really sucked when I forgot my music a couple times. >.<

I played treble for 5 years, and then I made the switch to euphonium and my bd wouldnt let me play treble... it was so horrible at first but after things get figured out its so much easier biggrin It kinda sucked for the one alumni that came back to play for graduation, because he didnt have most of the music and I'm the only other euphonium xD

Meh. I can read bass clef 10x more better than treble clef. i've been reading bass clef for about 3 years, treble about 1. i can only read in the staff w/ treble...but the only difference is that bass clef notes are one space under treble clef notes. the only reason i learned treble clef was because i joined a violin class with some friends...and then i decided i wanted to learn flute...then piano xP meh

The other kid in my section had switched from clarinet to bass, trumpet, then to Euphonium. I think if you're determined you could figure out how bass clef works in a couple of weeks. It wasn't that hard for him to learn, he said.

It takes awhile - especially since bass clef is keyed to C instead of Bb - but it's really, really useful to learn bass clef as well. It helps if you gear your mind to thinking in concert pitch all the time rather than in Bb.

I would have to say bass clef because thats what I learned on but when I started taking piano lessons I had to learn treble so neither of them are to hard for me its just that I prefer to at least sight read on bass cause it's easier for me

Dion Necurat Psh; Tenor Clef is where its at. How do you read Tenor Clef my friend tried explaining it to me cause he knows like 4 or 5 different clefs and I still didn't get it I know that sometimes in orchestra's the tenor trombones play on tenor clef and if I ever decide to join one that's most likely what I would be reading so I figure start now
