Anat slipped into her masquerade costume. It was simple enough a fathered mask of russet gold a crown and a set of wings. Simple really compared to her normal outfits. She padded down the stairs and out the door her tail swaying behind her. She would be the life of the party tonight just like every night.
The party was in fact... a little droll. She need some excitement or someone to entertain her. She would simply have to wait for a victim to present itself. So with that she settled down to do so.

Mia straightened her mask, she had decided to go for the slightly less popular troll mask. She had, of course, fixed it up with a little glitter and various small shiny items she had found laying around, but it was still feather free and very different. She carefully made sure Abelinda was asleep before leaving for the party, she sure didn't want her little dragon following her, she was so hard to keep track of. She had been so excited when she heard about the masquerade and only grew more so as she walked to the party. By the time she got to the doors, she was practically jumping up and down in excitement. She stepped through the doors and stood there in awe, taking in all the costumes and masks.

Anat let her eyes drift around the room lazily. She took in everyone and everything. Most seemed normal a few seemed like they could possibly be interesting but nothing that she would waste time on. There were a few that could hold some promise and she had even spoken to a few but they have not been very pleasant, so she had left. A while back someone had told her that she should not waste her precious time on anyone that was anything but pleasant. She had taken those words to heart mostly. She still spoke to a few that were less then pleasant but the list was far shorter then before.
Her eyes landed on a particularly interesting costume that had just walked in. Something very out of the ordinary. A troll oh it was sparkly but it was still a troll mask. This person had some kind of taste and Anat now had her newest victim. She pulled herself up from her sitting position and sauntered forward. Making sure to sway her hips just and make her tail flick back and forth. She was on the prowl. She padded up to the newest member of this little party. She stepped up beside her and leaned over whispering in her ear. "Well hello there, welcome to the party sweetheart." Anat made sure to not say her name or do anything that would give away who she was. After all this fox could possible be someone she knew; and the whole point of a masquerade was the mystery part of it.

Mia smiled under her mask, she had intended to slip in and get a feel for all the people before picking someone interesting, but it seemed she had been chosen by someone else. Well, this could definitely prove to be interseting she thougth to herself, looking over the costume of the person, taking in the feathers, curious if it was anyone she knew. Who cares? she was going to have fun tonight.
"Well thank you for the lovely welcome, are you the one responsible for this lovely soiree?" she purred, trying not to give anything away about herself.

Anat blinked a few times behind her mask. Of course she was not the one that had thrown this. If anyone had seen the kinds of parties she threw they would KNOW. Her parties were never so... calm? Yes that was the word she was looking for. She smiled and laughed lightly.
"Oh no darling. My parties are never so calm and formal. Won't you come have some punch with me?" She asked as she sauntered towards the punch, which she had spiked... not five minuets before. "So is this your first time sweetheart?" She couldn't help but ask the pretty in front of her or rather behind beside her.

Mia grinned behind her mask, "I calm and formal, I take it you prefer raves and parties of similar quality? I would love some punch, shall we?" She turned and made her way to the punch bowl, inhaling, she could smell that someone had spiked it but she really didn't care, she was here to have fun. "It is my first time, at least at a masquerade, seems pretty stiff but I've heard they can be a lot of fun. How about you? Are you the frequent party goer?" She got herself some punch and took a sip, resisting the urge to cough at the strength of the alcohol in it, scanning the crowd to see if she might be able to recognize anyone, not that she could with the masks and costumes.

Anat nodded. "You would be right love. I do prefer the raves. Those would be my favorite out of all the different types of parties." She took a sip of the punch she had saved out for herself. "Oh they can be very stiff. Far more then even this one. But then they can be VERY fun as well. There are street masquerades in a few places I have been. Those are the best. Most of the city participates at those times." She could not help but smile behind her mask. "Oh my dear you have no idea. I am the queen of parties. You have never seen the like. I have been to more parties and things like it that I consider myself to be one of the best at judging weather a party is a hit or miss." She walked over and sat close to the other. "Are you saying love that this is your first party... ever?"

Mia listened to her thoughtfully, she wasn't sure she had met someone like her before. Mia wasn't exactly a virgin party goer, but she certainly hadn't found one that fit her yet, and at least till the spiked punch kicked in, this one still wasn't much her style, although it was looking to be fun. She sipped her punch, getting used to the alcohol in it and wondering just how much of it she could drink without losing it completely. She then wondered if losing it would be such a bad thing.
She smiled at her conversational partner, "Well, I've been to parties before, but usually small, intimate parties. I'm still looking for my favorite type of party. I certainly think raves could be my favorite, this one is fun, but very formal and I'm almost afraid to relax for fear of offending someone."

Anat waved her paw in the air dismissively. "Don't worry about it doll. If someone gets offended then let them. Its not like they are going to say anything about it really. This is a party, and anyone who goes to parties knows the golden rule." She smirked lightly and held up her paw. It was after all golden. "Your daily life is left at the door, and when you leave you leave the party here. Daily life and the party do NOT intermingle." She shook her head and leaned up against Mia. "When they do bad stuff happens girly girl. You don't ever want to let your party life and your real life mesh. Then you lose sight of whats what. You start making mistakes and things go down hill. You can ask any true parity goer. Anyone who has EVER know the night life or the rave scene knows this." She shrugged lightly.
"So don't worry about it. What happens here stays here. You don't need to worry about someone taking offense to you. If they do well, they should know the golden rule. If they don't then ******** em."

Mia grinned under her mask "Well, I can see occasional times when a person might want to break that rule, but otherwise its a great rule to live by. I've been to some pretty interesting parties that you wouldn't want people to be talking about the next day." She looked around, watching other people trickle in, none quite as intriguing as the lovely standing in front of her. She finished off her punch and went back for more, vowing to relax and truly enjoy herself. She looked up at the mysterious stranger, holding up her glass "You want some?"
