Hello there all you fellow, 'Steam' lovers, I'm fairly new to steam punk and am only 14 so i don't have much money and am looking for some decent deals on Steam punk fashion so far I'm basically nothing of a steam punk, All i made are goggles out of some old gas mask i found in my grandfathers basement, I'm more or less looking for the diesel punk look, Which includes the following

Aviation suits
scarves (As any type of steam punk branch involves)
Gloves (Common amongst steam punk branches)
anything that can be linked to WWII which i have most of thanks to my great grandfather may his soul rest in peace.

I've checked my local thrift store but the owner hates me and jacks prices up on me.

My friend, what you're tihnking of is Dieselpunk. WW2 stuff and aviation suits fall into the wonderful Dieselpunk category.

How 'bout sending a friend to buy you stuff?

Haha, I considered that but i'm short and such and clothes tend to SAG on us short people, and I'm looking for the dieselpunk fashion i like steampunk but, the gears and cogs and such aren't much my style.

Could you order online? There are numerous online resources that sell quality reproduction and vintage clothing/such&suchs from the WWII era that would suit your needs admirably. Just be sure to read reviews and check out how reputable the source is.

There are also a few online How-to guides that can help you alter what clothing you have to suit the style you're pursuing.

AHH but good luck! That's wonderful!

Really, you've already got your own answers. Unless you can shop online, army surplus and charity/thrift shops are the only place you are going to get yourself some good deals.
Unless you want to learn to sew of course.

For a good spring start, get yourself a nice pair of boots and a jacket you are happy with. You've already got the goggles, it's all you need for the start of a wardrobe really.

Alot of work wear can at times be quite dieselish or steamy, just look at Doctor Steel's advice on how to make your own toy soldier uniform! Check it!
