You must have already passed basic Training and Marksmen Training after being excepted as a Marine in order to participate in MARSOC Training and Testing.
TRAINING
In order to begin training as a MARSOC, you must first have successfully completed basic training, gone through the second step of training as a Marksmen, and been officially validated as a Marine. Basic Training is of course the standard for all opening positions in nearly every unit.
MARSOC is intended to provide the user with an advanced understanding of basic grammar, spelling, and roleplaying rules and doctrines. MARSOC is also intended to provide a more indepth training in the Arts of Warfare, several kinds of weapons and what they are capable of, how to train, how to teach, how to be a distinct leader, methods of infiltration and spying, how weapons work, how to understand the basic ideas of weapons, how explosives work, realistic physical movements, and military structure in general. MARSOC Units are intended to be highly trained individuals with not only the ability to roleplay as an expert, but also to preform all forms of military activities successfully. Guerrilla warfare, Ambush tactics, basic medical training, over-all warfare tactics, and specific roles will be taught at a much higher level, and instead of being briefed over, will actually be taught. In correspondence with the training however, testing will be implemented, to make sure the soldier has learned all that is required.
In particular for a MARSOC soldier, the ability to roleplay correctly how to jump out of a plane, how to land on a beach, the conditions necessary to keep your weapons functioning despite water and salt entering them, and the knowledge of being the first to engage will be a particular thing learned in MARSOC training. In addition to this, as Marines are typically the first to enter an area, the relay of Reconnaissance information will definitely play a major role in the MARSOC's activities, much more so than the other units. Surveillance, responding to other units, and communication will play both a vital and integral in MARSOC operations, and will be necessary to learn as such.
