.. Welcome .. Wilkommen .. Konnichiwa .. Guten Tag .. Bounjour .. Goeden Dag .. Dictionary O-men (oh-men) n. 1. A phenomenon supposed to portend good or evil; a prophetic sign. 2. A sign of something about to happen. 3. Prognostication; portent: birds of ill omen. It is said that only life is capable of true emotion- things such as anger, happiness, or fear. Yet even the dead express to us their intentions, through spirits.
Through accidents.
Through Omens.

It was a cold winter night, the snow having just settled silently into the woods. Frost lined the trees in every acre, and many animals were fast asleep in their warm dens beneath the stars.
Yet there was one animal who happened to be out an about that dreary time.
A pure black bird, it's velvet feathers folded behind it's beady eyes with restlessness. Inky feet gripped a small branch tightly within their talons. The creature ruffled it's feathers half-heartedly, before shaking the ice from it's wings and taking off to the pale moon.
It was the only one of it's kind- dark, clever, and above all else, lonely in a world of similarities- not that this mattered much, no one could get close enough to the elusive animal before it fled. There were many who pursued this creature in wonder and curiosity, then there were those that were lucky enough to avoid any contact at all. The creature was dubbed a Crow, after the first man who had spotted it, called Charles Crow.
Days passed where the bird perched noiselessly in the frigid trees, and took off silently in the moonlight. It had not uttered a sound since it came into existence, and not even the wind had heard a flap of wing or a scurry of a feather. Then, however, came one distant night underneath the harvest crescent, when the creature perched against a frozen sill at a small country home. All of the inhabitants were fast asleep, dozing cozily in their covers to candles of myrhh and the scent of juniper with lily.
The creature opened it's beak, and with a shrill, echoing 'caw'!, it vanished.
Some of the family inside stirred, but not enough to wake until morning. And when they did wake, it was something of a blessing, and a curse- their eldest son had died of fever in the night, in sleep- and when he was buried, crops of many began to sprout from the snow... and grew endlessly.
It was in this that the people came to call the echo of a crow an Omen, a sign of wealth, yet a sign of destruction as well.

Appearence: At first sight, Geist looks like a mummy, doesn't he? The bandages actually branch of and float around him in a torn way, so he's not actually all wrapped. The anima has stark white hair, a single bang wrapped up and placed directly over his good eye. His other eye is blind, and most of the time he has it wrapped up. Geist's eyes are inverted, as you can tell. The eye itself is black, while his iris is white, just like his hair.
His skin is a very dark grey, bordering on black, and the anima has white dots that go from the backs of his hands, all the way to his shoulder.
Most of all however, I wanted Geist to have black crow wings, that are white at the very tips of the feathers.
Clotheswise and anything else that would suit him better, I'll let Chai add and mess around with.
Persona: Personality wise, Geist is a mute. He only speaks when he knows something is going to happen, whether that be bad or good, and most curious of all- he only speaks in riddles. Omens are warnings of curses and blessings at the same time, after all.
Though the boy doesn't really like to do much of anything besides eat (he's a vacuum masquerading around as an anima, or something), he does take a liking towards twilight, and loves milling around at that time of day.
Geist is a mixed bag of emotion when it comes to meeting new people, as it all really depends on the person he's meeting. He tends to like people that like to share and have morals... though really, Geist has no morals himself.

As you can tell from the picture, Baniru isn't a dazzling beauty. Fortunately, those horns on her head aren't there normally, so the only thing that tends to scare people away is her blue tongue and strangely coloured eye. Her right eye is missing from an accident with her shattered kid. (ha ha, I have a thing for inverted eyes, don't I?) She has long black hair that goes down to her butt, as well as pale, oddly coloured skin. The woman is usually wearing shorts and skimpy tops, just because she loves the sun that. Much.
Bani is a nervous soul, and isn't all that inclined to meeting new people. She may look like a convict, but she's actually as timid as a rabbit, so things even out. As said up above, she's a sphinx, one of the last that weren't hunted out for their knowledge. They hailed from the desert long ago, and unless they are physically wounded, they don't actually die.
The Sphinx themselves look to be made of sand- they have bent horns, arms that are very long and slump past to the ground (much like an orangutang), and their tales are smooth like a snake's, with a scythe at the end. Contrary to popular belief the sphinx do not know everything. They just like riddles. And messing with people.

Here's the song lyrics that I've been using in the banners:
How tides control the sea, and what becomes of me, How little things can slip out of your hands. How often people change, no two remain the same, Why things don't always turn out as you plan.
These are things that I don't understand... Yeah, these are things that I don't understand.
I can't, and I cant decide, Wrong, all my wrong from right, Day, all my day for night, Dark, all my dark for light, I live, but I love this life.
How infinite is space, and who decides your fate? Why everything will dissolve into sand. How to avoid defeat, when truth and fiction meet, Why nothing ever turns out how you planned.
These are things that I don't understand... Yeah, these are things that I don't understand.
I can't, and I cant decide, Wrong, all my wrong from right, Day, all my day for night, Or dark, all my dark for light, I live, but I love this life.
