THROWDOWN
SYPNOSIS <><><><> To cause dissention among the Glee Club members, Sue forces the students to compete against each other, but the real showdown happens when she and Will get called into the principal’s office. Meanwhile, the Glee kids rally to support Quinn after some shocking news is revealed. <><><><><><><><><>
EPISODE DETAILS <><><><><><><> EPISODE #: 7 SEASON: 1 AIRDATE: October 14, 2009 <><><><><><><><><><><><><>
SONGS <><><><><> SONG TITLE ORIGINAL ARTIST No Air Jordin Sparks featuring Chris Brown Keep Holding On Avril Lavigne Hate on Me Jill Scott You Keep Me Hangin' On The Supremes Ride Wit' Me Nelly O Fortuna from Carmina Burana Carl Orff <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
MEMORABLE QUOTES <><><><><><><> Sue [to Will]: I don't trust a man with curly hair. I can't help but picture little birds laying sulfurous eggs in there, and it disgusts me.
Will: Who's to say everything I do is 100% on the ball? Sue: No one would say that.
Sue: I can't stand the sight of kids getting emotional, unless it's from physical exhaustion.
Sue: So, you're last name is Puckerman, huh? Puck: Shalom!
Quinn [to Finn]: I know some guys cheat on their wives or pregnant girlfriends. Just don't do it with [Rachel].
Finn: I came up with the best baby name of all-time: Drizzle.
Sue: I empower my Cheerios to live in fear by creating an environment of irrational, random terror.
Sue: You're right, Will. I have been trying to destroy your club with a conviction I can only call "religious."
Sue: I like minorities so much, I'm thinking of moving to California to become one.
Mercedes: Can we try something a little more black? Rachel: It's glee club. Not crunk club.
Sue: God, it feels good to finally pop that zit known as Will Schuester. <><><><><><><>
BEHIND THE BLEACHERS <><><><><><><><><>
The latest relationship drama at McKinley High:
Rachel tried to protect Finn by giving her panties to Jacob, the blogger who was going to run a story on Quinn's pregnancy (and who also lusts after Rachel). Will got mad at Terri for leaving him out of his (nonexistent) baby's life, but they made up after Terri took him to a staged doctor's appointment. Quinn told Finn to stay away from Rachel. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
FUN FACTS <><><><><> The original title of this episode was "Takedown!"
Jayma Mays (Emma Pillsbury) does not appear in this episode.
"Ride wit' Me" is one of the few songs on "Glee" that was performed live instead of lip-synched to a studio track.
Much of the dialogue in the fight between Sue and Will in Figgins' office was ad libbed. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
BURNING QUESTIONS <><><><><><><><> Is Will ever going to find out that Terri's not really pregnant?
Will Quinn keep the baby?
Will Finn follow Quinn's wishes for him not to get together with Rachel?
Will Finn manage to convince Quinn to name their child Drizzle? biggrin <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Oh man, Hate on Me hands down was the best song of this ep. It's so soulful...I actually have to chose between the original Jill Scott and Mercedes' version.
