Looking for opinions on how we do this.
I think we need to have a minimum of 6-8 relevant threads to make this work. 3-4 Tank Viewing threads where people post once, and we just maintain lists of the types of tanks like "Full Meat" "Dolphin" "Mixed" "Minis"
We then send links to those threads when we ask if we can invite our friends. Something like
"I have some friends with awesome tanks who also love invites! You can view the full meat tanks here (insert url) and the mixed tanks here (insert url) Would you like me to send the invite to some, or all of these?"
We then make a separate thread for each tank type for invites and post the link to any threads that agreed in the appropriate thread. We can send out announcements daily, or periodically, to remind members that there are new invites.
Anyone caught posting in threads their tank doesn't qualify for will be banned!
Now, here's my question:
1. We make the tank lists internal so they're easier to edit. But then we have to leave the forums viewable, and the only way to make the invite lists hidden would be to make everyone crew and put them in a crew only sub.
2. We can make the tank lists in the test forum and just whoever is the OP of them will be the only one who can delete posts if needed, but then we can make the whole guild hidden.
So which do you think is better?

The more I think on it, the more I like option 1. It lets thread owners know better what's going on, and allows us to control threads for certain types of tanks even if we ask a member WITH that type of tank to be the first poster!

I will confess I'm boggled by both options, but that could be because I'm tired. xp
Anyway, so far as setting up threads go, I think we should have:
- All tanks (for ease in linking, if we do it that way)
- Watermeat thread
- Dolphin thread
- Mostly meats/dolphins/minis
We should do them short page, as though I hate post 500 times and delete 499 threads, then at least the lag will be cut down for everyone, just in case.
I'm just not sure where to actually post new invites. Should we just make a thread for people to post invites they've gotten and who the OP wants to post, or make separate threads for say, people who only want to invite meats or something, one for meats/dolphins/minis, and then a thread to post invites where everyone is welcome?

I should be able to do that and any crew member can update it when they see it's out of date! XD
