With just the two of them, they had to split up in order to get anything done. Saiph had assured Alkaid, however, that she wouldn't be too far should anything go wrong. Alkaid tried to believe that nothing would happen and it would just be another normal night. After the couple of run-ins she had thus far with the Negaverse, however, it made it hard for her to believe such a thing.
Still, Alkaid stood atop a rooftop, staring out over the city with a slight frown on her face. Her go-getter attitude had taken a serious blow in the past few weeks, at least where this Senshi business was concerned. She was still here though, standing in a neighborhood relatively close to the homeless shelter she spent hours volunteering at. Even the thought of those helpless people being attacked by a Negaverser sent shivers down her spine. They seemed like easy pray too, which was the most horrifying thought in Alkaid's opinion. Not that anyone deserved to have their starseed stolen, but what kind of person would she be if she didn't do everything in her power to protect these people?
Thus she simply stood there, staring out over the city like a night watchman instead of a Senshi, huddling her arms close to her body in an attempt to keep warm. If the night could just pass without incident, if she could just go long enough for Saiph to return without being attacked, she would get down on her knees and thank whatever powers that be. Alkaid knew that her luck as of late hadn't been so great though, so she wasn't about to hold her breath.
