BASIC TRAINING

This is the outline for Basic Training. In order to begin training, or even to join any of the military forces, you must first pass Military Basic Training. Essentially, the training will test your fundamental abilities to roleplay, write, and basic comprehension of the world, how it works, and military activities. As of now, I am your instructor, although in the future you may have the option of choosing or having a different instructor. This training will incorporate both methods of teaching and testing. If you fail your final roleplay, you may undergo more training, and if you pass, may be accepted. You may undergo training as many times as you need until you pass, or until my nerves cannot take your roleplaying anymore. This will determine your passing or failing of achieving the beginning level status in which ever Branch you prefer or wish to join.

REASON FOR SINGULAR TESTING AREA: In order to make things simpler, all new recruits will be appointed to the Registration area in order to complete their basic applications and receive Basic Training. To make Branch changes, organization, and equality an easy and readily made accessory to the United Gaian Military Forces, a single explication for testing will be presented. This is to filter all the applicants and place their applications in one area, and as well serves to establish the base foundation for all recruits.

Also, when engaging in out of character typing, or "OOC" typing, please designate this by surrounding your messages in brackets, such as (( )), ( ), [ ], { }, or whichever to your choice.

When Roleplaying, post this at the top of each post-
Roleplay Name
Branch- Unit
Location
Objective

EXAMPLE:

Inficio Constupro
Army- Paratroopers B.1
Bus Stop
Arrival
PostPosted: Mon Dec 21, 2009 9:37 pm

Arrival

Roleplay as a new recruit arriving on a bus. Roleplay first the driving of the bus and then the arrival. Do NOT puppet the Training Instructor, any other characters, or anything else other than your character. You may roleplay that the bus has arrived, but you may not roleplay any factors on the external of the bus, including it's whereabouts or it's drop-off location. If any of these things are broken, they will be expected to be fixed, and your post reposted in it's fixed state. If not fixed properly, or at all, then you will be asked to repost it again. If you are not familiar with roleplaying, I ask you please read the AMP and guide to character creation. For a general synopsis, roleplay your thoughts, and basic ideas of the situation at hand. Be creative, but do not be overzealous. Remember, this counts as your ticket to becoming a member of the branch of your choice. Also, please try to exploit correct grammar and spelling skills to the best of your ability.

You will be expected to respond to my posts, and to issue your best ability in order to join.

As a Note, the AMP (Version: 2) is a general outline for certain specific recommended roleplay rules. Despite being made a long time ago, the AMP still carries a large amount of influence of roleplay in general, and serves somewhat as a guide for certain kind of actions that should be avoided. Remember, even if you understand and follow the AMP correctly, always try to be as detailed and literate as possible, even if this involves detailing the most minute or mundane of actions. Your writing a story and essentially trying to paint a picture; the more brushstrokes you use, the easier it will be to paint a good picture.

Snipermanz
Loginquitas Iuguolo (Preacher)
Army
Bus
Arrival

Loginquitas Iuguolo rode on the bus, the quick movements and sudden turns jostling him around. Next to him he heard the Drill Sergeant barking, his rough voice rebounding around the entire Bus, random orders and maxim's uttered to keep the rest of the soldiers aboard the bus quite. Constantly shouting to be quite, the Drill Seargeant would lash out and scream at whomever spoke, regardless of their reason. Only if they were given permission to speak could any soldier speak, and even then the Drill Sergeant carried an annoyed tone which could quite all but the hardest of soldiers. Loginquitas Iuguolo, or the preacher, stayed quite not out of intimidation, but out of respect. He wish horrendously to be a soldier, and understanding what the drill sergeant had already been through, respected both his position as a sergeant and a soldier. Regardless, the Preacher wanted to be a soldier. For this reason, he made sure to keep his mouth quite.

((A pretty decent display of both character and spelling. Your grammar isn't perfect, but no-one's ever is, and your granted a poetic license. ))

"Listen up Maggots. You may think you have rights as a civilian, but as of now your a military recruit. As of now, your a** is officially mine! Don't you dare speak until spoken to either, you got that?" The Drill sergeant spun around and stared at the fresh recruit. Glaring at Loginquitas Iuguolo, he couldn't help but imagine all kinds of considerable torture he'd inflict upon him in order to break the new guy. This of course, was sheerly intended to make him stronger, and to weed him out if he was one of the weak kind.

Sadie Jakobson
Army
Bus
Arrival

Sadie kept quiet, looking out the window as the drill sergeant bayed his annoying orders at everyone who wouldn't shut UP. She wanted to finally prove herself enough to be sent to the front lines, fixing any broken piece of equipment she could get her hands on, and mentoring others to do the same. Her Father expected her to carry a gun and shoot the enemy, but she had absolutely no desire to do so. And so, she sat, wondering what she was going to tell them at firing practice, if there was one. She didn't know. She wanted to fix; not shoot, but she'd do as she was told, like any good little soldier would in her situation. If any soldier was in her situation.

Alex Mercer
Marines
Bus
Arrival

Alex was ready, he thought of what the soldiers did to his family and his friends. He wanted revenge but he couldn't. he had to follow orders. Gripping his assault rifle in his hand, he wanted to just shoot all the enemies he saw. The general expected all of the recruits to pass the test. Any who failed would not be given a second chance. Suddenly, the bus crashed into the ground and there was screaming. Someone shot a RPG at it he though. Then enemies poured out and surrounded the bus. Alex was ready, he had been ready...

((Horrible grammar, however, that doesn't matter, your spelling was fine. Also, you are granted a poetic license, which I see you exploited correctly! Nice post. Very well done!))

Peering at all the quite, head down, and some shivering recruits, the Drill sergeant stared deeply into the eyes of everyone that dared look at him, and sent all but the strongest of heart face down on the seat in front of them. In truth, none of these wanna-bee soldiers were supposed to opposing the sergeant. If the soldiers could learn to follow, learn to deal with a horrendous person, they could learn to lead. If a person was humble and strong, they could be just a leader as anyone else could, and that's exactly what the Sergeant intended to do with these people.

((Well, you puppetered the bus, the bus driver, and you added in some weird sentence fragments. Your work is acceptable, but not good. Think about re-reading the AMP, but it's good otherwise! Btw, I'm not counting that as happening, just pretend like your still riding the bus xd ))

(Well, you presented a lot of grammatical errors, and you didn't punctuate properly almost anywhere. You as well forgot every contraction. The emphasis on self is negligible becuase it's a two-second story, however that kind of think will be expected to be placed else where. Also, try to not use run on sentences, like I said, punctuating correctly. Over-all your spelling and basic concept of internal though was good. Make sure to read the AMP: Version 2, and also to brush up on some basic english skills, and you look like your good to go!)

Morcain Silverante
Army
Bus
Arrival

The army eh? An annoying idea, but an idea non the less, and well, he did know how to handle a gun. Heck, that's such a large understatement it's not even funny. Give him a rifle and he'll use the thing like a hand gun he will, as he usually doesn't need a scope as long as the target is visible without one. It probably helps that he has excellent eyesight as well as hand-eye coordination. Atleast he'd have a fairly legal reason to kill from now on...well, he would while he was on missions, anyway. Actually, while he was still thinking about the army, just why was he going to join the army again? He couldn't remember. He could faintly hear the sound of the drill sergeant yelling at, quite frankly, everyone in the background, and could feel the bus jolt slightly from rolling over...what ever it was rolling over...Oh was someone kicking his chair?! What kind of childish fool does that? And while on that note...oh forget it. Thoughts are a bother. This whole little trip is a bother. Morcain closed his eyes, trying to drown out the sound of the drill sergeant droning on and on and on...steadily, sleep took hold as the soft...well actually rather violent, rocking of the bus lulled him to sleep. He would undoubtedly get yelled at later for not paying attention or something of the like. Actually, he was likely to get yelled at pretty soon.

((lol nice, perty good, a sort of personal thing instead of omnipresent but still an inner thought idea. ))

Leaning over Morcain's chair specifically, the drill sergeant turned and barked out some pretty peculiar messages. "Boy, you seem like a person that just needs to be yelled at! I can't quite put my finger on it, but you need to be yelled at! Rant over, maggot." The drill sergeant said, as he continued on down the line, glaring at recruits and staring at anyone who dare even made eye contact with him.

Morcain cracked an eye open as the sergeant found the need to yell at him for god knows why. Oh yeah, he really needed that. "Shortest rant I ever heard..." he muttered under his breath as he watched the drill sergeant continue down the aisle. Speaking at all, much less a comment against the drill sergeant, was probably a bad idea. Then again, all of Morcain's ideas seemed to be bad ideas. Oh lord, were all the instructors going to find the need to yell at him for existing? That would be a bother. He hated bothers. Could you tell? Then again, the pointless yelling was expected. A lot of people seemed to have the completely random urge to hit, throw things at, yell, shout, or otherwise simply annoy the young man. He hated it, and if he hates you, your a bother. And bothers will not be tolerated. If he ever got the chance, he would probably kill you without batting an eye. He wasn't exactly the nicest or most orderly of people...and he would probably make a dangerous, unreliable soldier. Oh dear. Here come the thoughts again. Such a nuisance they were. Speaking of thoughts, just when was this bus going to stop?!
