This is your Vice Captain's office where one can ask questions or gather information on any subject matter concerning the Sereitei. Do not hesitate to disturb although your Vice Captain will likely be working on many projects, the fellow shinigami will always be of greater importance.

The office itself is a rather dark room due to the absence of windows, lit by few lights. It contains a vast wall of books on one side that reaches nearly 3 stories in height. On the other side many technological blueprints and models find themselves resting upon a table in the corner or on the floor. As you look forward a huge desk is present full of documents.

Strafe walked slowly up to the door of the office. He had been thinking about talking with the new Vice-Captain for awhile, but didn't have the time. Now he had the opportunity and he wanted to get to know him. He knocked on the outsed as a measure of warning and opened the door. The office was quite boring and a tad bit depressing when you looked at the enormous amount of papers on the Vice-Captains desk. "Pardon my interuption sir" Strafe said politely to the Vice-Captain as he walked in the dark and mysterious room. He didn't know much about the new Vice-Captain except for the fact that he was apart of squad 12 before. He wanted to see how friendly he was.

"I'm Strafe Prower, I just wanted to talk to you for a second or two." Strafe said kindly towards the powerful shinigami in front of him. He also wandered how strong his Vice-Captain was and what he was capable of. He new taht he must be something to become Vice-Captain though. He was a bit intimmidated, but he tried not to let it show on his face. He needed to appear calm and respectful to his new leader.

Dwelling over the significance of recent intelligence reports on Karukato Town events on earth he heard the rythmic knocking on his door. The door gently moved its hinges to reveal a fresh faced shinigami he had no yet met, certainly another member of the squad. With a slight hesitation the young shinigami walked within the room and spoke, with a clear presence of nerves influecing his demeanor.

He placed the document he held in his hand back within its folder before speaking himself. "Hello Strafe Power, I'm quite busy but certainly could afford a few moments to listen to you. What is within your mind you wish to speak of?" His gaze had lifted upwards to look upon the face of the shinigami who was clearly a little tense. He could understand the rather somber atmosphere of his office would bring about this but he himself prefered the leas distractions possible when he worked, that included massive amounts of light.

Strafe was a very kind person and loved to talk, but he made sure he didn't ramble. It would be sad to was such a person's time, so he went straight to the point that brought him here. "Sir, I would like you to tell me about yourself it that is ok with you." Strafe said friendly and now calmly. He hated greetings, especially of those higher rank than himself. He was now at the part that he enjoyed the most about people. The conversation that build relationships. "I was just curious, seeing as I will be operating under you, I would like to know a little about you and your personality." He said smiling widely "It helps me work better with you out on the feild."

Strafe was still very curious about the shinigami in front of him and he didn't know what to expect out of such a man. He was hoping it would be something respectful and not some selfish vendetta. He could only hope though and planned to listen intently, if the Vice-Captain chose to share with him. He was also quite anxious about going on a mission with him and learning his Zanpakuto's abilitys. Strafe loved to observe things and keep the knowledge he learned in his head.

The shinigami he could see was gathering his thoughts, potentially to discuss some very personal matter, he could not be sure. He simply continued his passive gaze on the young mind, awaiting his response to the open invitation he had given to speak. As the Strafe spoke he began to listen more attentively. The topic he was bringing forth was not one typically expected when discussing within the ranks. He did appreciate the great amount of courage it took to bring such a matter up. He would reward this shinigami's venture into topics seldom discussed.

"Rather unexpected to hear what you have said but I appreciative of it. I do myself believe to properly function as unit it requires communication that goes beyond the scope of being purely squadmates. To truly function as one you must know each others deeper thoughts to speak beyond words, allowing the minds to work fluidly together.

In order to understand me you must know my roots. I born to be immediately disregarded and cast as an outsider. You see, my appearance was not that of a typical being."
He proceeded to lift away the strands of hair that covered a portion of his eyes, revealing them in to their full extent. The blue, ice cold eyes, lacking the presence of irises stared back at Strafe. "I was labelled a monster from birth, thought of as the sin for all the wrongdoings of men. I managed to meet an individual who mentored on how to properly treat individuals. I learned to hold no grudges towards others, whether or not they had faults in their reasoning. He died as before I reached ten and I spent the other portion of my living life travelling the world in order to fully understand others. I sought to gain as much knowledge as possible in all fields prior to my death, which remains a mystery to myself altogether. From then i have a rather hazzy memory until I began my time in the academy. I hope I have properly responded to your curiousity. "

He awaited for Strafe's reaction as typically when he mentioned his tale it did not bring a smile upon the listener's face.

It was great to hear that the Vice-Captain had some of the same ideas when it came to being in a squad together. It was quite relaxing and took some of the tension out of the room. He was now fully calm and was ready to listen to his interesting story. The more he listened to the story the worse he felt for his Vice-Captain, but he kept a calm and attentive face as the story was told. He noticed his eye, which was quite amazing to Strafe and made strafe wonder why it was like that. He finished his sad story and Strafe looked at him with care in his eye.

"I am sorry to hear such a tragedy happened to you" Strafe said understanding and sympathetically. It was a melancholy story if Strafe had ever heard one, but it made the Vice-Captain who he was today. It was an intriguing story with many questions to be answered. "I don't mean to pry" Strafe said tactfully "But, have you ever tried to investigate what happened?" Strafe said curious about the shinigami's mysterious past. It was quite a story and Strafe didn't want to push any sore buttons.

Noting the shift in emotion displayed upon Strafe's face as he finished his story he wished none would show pity. Those events had transpired but he had moved beyond them. How else could he attain his rank if he simply dwelt in he tragedies of the past? He did not respond to Strafe's initial comment on feeling sorry as he did not feel the need to have someone live in his past.

"Investigate, I have. I believe all the information is within me and has for some reason been hidden. I do not know to what purpose not knowing such events has but it seems it occured for a reason. I have recently made a discovery that has brought some clues to what occured during the timeframe, but unfortunately nothing I have deciphered yet. You seem to know me well and I figure I should seek to know a bit about yourself. What is your story?"
He gave as polite a look as he could as he stared back at Strafe. He revealed quite a bit to Strafe, certainly more than he expected. He did not reveal all though. The clues he had uncovered, he had formulated a theory that would not serve well discussing with anyone in the Sereitei. Some dark secrets were best kept hidden in vaults.

Strafe was quite suprised when the Vice-Captain asked to know about him. Most higher tier shinigami's didn't care about no names like Strafe. It was refreshing and Strafe wanted to answer him the best way possible. "Well, mine is sad, but is justified at the same time. " Strafe said looking at the Vice-Captain A little indiffrent at how he would react. Strafe is the type to try and impress, he is who he is and he couldn't change that fact.

Strafe sighed with memorys as he thought of a decent way telling the tale. "I was just a typical kid with a good home life up until I gratuated high-school." Strafe said rolling his eyes at how easy he had it then. "When I moved to colledge I got target by, what I thought was small, gang and I took up martial arts. They were afraid to attack and I graduated early soley because of my intelligence." Strafe said with a blank face. "I then was attacked by the gang, but I defeated them quite handliy. Then I found out they were apart of a Underground organization and I had just become a target." Strafe said thinking back to those days. "I then had to go on the run and kept safe until I was 27. They cornered me in a building and I had to fight my way out. They had to send their best fighters and I was ready." Strafe said looking at his hand. "We fought and I was defeated, but what they didn't know is I planted bombs on all of them during the fight. I didn't care if I won or not, it wasn't the point of the fight." Strafe said remembering how smart it was. "I then bled to death hearing the bombs of my killers go off." Strafe said laughing a little nervously.

"I know it sounds twisted, but I had to do what I had to do." Strafe said thinking about the group "They would have went after others, had it not been for me." Strafe said taking a bit of pride in the thought. He hoped that the Vice-Captain would find the story interesting. "The funny thing is, i'm not the kind of guy that would do something like that. It was a one time move." Strafe said frowning. He never wanted to do something like that to anyone ever again.

Kinsetsu entered his office, a location he'd be residing in for the next couple of weeks in the Captain's absence. He had managed to remain organizes so much of his paperwork was in order, however with the recent earth occurences the workload had been doubled. Without the Captain's presence his work would be quadrupled and although it should have left him with a fleeting feeling he simply accepted the situation for what it was. It would actually be a rather opportune time to impress his Captain with the work he would get done, a major reason why he would now sleep within his office.

He dropped his backpack filled with the essential on the floor, remembering that he forgot to pack his toothbrush. He would simply find a few minutes later on to retrieve it. For the moment, he would find his seat at his desk to attempt to finish the latest report on the activity occuring at the soul gate connecting the spirit world to the living world. Worrysome activity had been brewing there and he had a first hand account of one of those events himself. Reaching into his filing cabinet he pulled out the activity logs for the month to attempt to chronicle all that had occured in order to figure out what would eventually be occuring. As he read on it was clear something big was building up, what exactly he did not have a clue. Further research and analyzing would hopefully shed light upon that fact.

Tapping his cane in front of him Renashu made his way to the Vice-captain's office. Hopefully he knows someone I can train with, I want to keep up on my staff work. Since Renashu's cane, was actually his zanpakuto in it's sealed form, he didn't have a sword like most shinigami. Instead he relied on kido for offense, and used his zanpakuto for defense. Reaching the door, Renashu knocked a couple of times, adjusted his hat, and waited for a reply.

((Just so you know, I wasn't expecting you to train me, just to recommend a good training partner.))

The rythmic tap grew louder and louder as time passed, indicating the arrival of a guest. As he settled the papers on his desk he had already anticipated the knock, which now was coming from his door. "Please come in." As he spoke the words he had already pushed back his chair and began to stretch out his spine as he lifted himself upwards. Being disturbed was never something unexpected within squad 8 as new developments always took place and required this squad's attention. He had a feeling though that this new development would involve one of his own squadmates.

Hope for the best...

Stepping into the office, Renashu recognized both Kinetsu's voice, and reiastu signature. "Ah Kinsetsu fuku-taicho, I got my things unpacked, so I came by to see if you knew where I could find some training." Renashu stood before the VC leaning on his cane. As he spoke, he adjusted his hat again, and brushed a wrinkle out of his jacket. He hoped he didn't look to bad, as he always tried to maintain a professional appearance.
