A totaly ruined and utterly destroyed holy ground with othing more than rubble that was once what seemed to be a temple or church of some kind. The inside of the temple is no better looking than whats left of the outside as it lays rotted and crumbled. There is a graveyard present which was most likely for people of lesser status than the royal family, though most of the tomb stones are to decayed to understand what is written on them, and some that are readable are written in an unknown language leaving very few peices of information that is understandable to the present day.

A lone women walked over onto the old ruins and looked around at the deselect grounds. Churches reduced to rubble lay after being battered. She looked towards the once holy respected temple and shook her head but gave a smile. 'Everything must fall on it's own'. This lone women was the Wind Empire's only noble. Been sent out on a mission to gather fighters. She animals once grazing, now scattering at the sight of her. Birds scattered from the trees up into the skies which alerted animals on the group. He smirked and carried on walking. She was not after wolves, she was on a hunt for a bigger prize, a wyvern. Being sent on a mission to gather a single wyvern that the Wind Empire so greatly needed she was determined to for fill her lords wish.
As she stood in the wasteland, her feet began to tremble, the ground seemed to shake. As she turned around, there was a single wyvern that was slowly approaching her, face full of vengeance and hatred. "I am Kurumi, as you guessed this emblem on my chest, depicts me as the noble of the wind empire.". The wyvern could obviously understand her as at the mere mention of the wind empire made the dragon roar through the air. As soon as this roar penetrated the soft ears of Kurumi she quickly spread her arms out revealing a single blade from her right hand. She squatted slightly readying for the attack but the wyvern, although seemed full of rage, stood there staring.
'Fear maybe, the signs are there. Sweat increasing, shivers in the lower right leg, this wyvern is scared to attack'. Although it seemed to have no intent of fighting out of fear, something didn't feel right. There was something wrong. She looked around and saw a a group of 3 more wyverns flying through the air to reach her. ''This should be fun''. She waited for them to get just close enough and she punched the air with her left hand and air seemed to revolve around it and fire up through the air towards the dragons but it did nothing, the beating of their wings combined simply pushed the spell aside but she didn't move, her hand was kept in the same place. Just as they were much closer to her, something fired from her left wrist and smashed into one of the dragons neck before it came crashing towards the earth.
The other wyverns swerved radically to avoid this attack. The dragon that fell to the floor had a grapple wrapped around its neck. She pulled back forcing the opponent to flay through the air towards her at an increasing speed. As it reached her closer and pulled her other free hand back and plunged it through the neck of the already damaged enemy. She forced her hand deep into the wyverns neck and grabbed onto the nearest thing she could get hold over. The dragon's scream pierced the air as her hand ventured further into the flesh. "Can I borrow these". She began to just get into the fight as her sadistic personality began to show through. She pulled her hand from the neck of the screaming enemy and pulled out cords followed by a gush of blood. She sent a flow of electricity down through her arm and it shocked this dragon and it suddenly began to stop moving.
The rope around the neck of the wyvern retracted and was pulled back into her arm. She looked around at the dragons that now circulated her and the dead corpse on the floor. Her intentions were not to kill them all, but to capture as many as she could. Kurumi took this moment of hesitation from the enemy to her advantage ans took a huge breath and let out an earth shattering roar and made the dragons flinch. She pushed off from her feet towards another victim and placed her feet onto one of their skulls forcing its head to crash to the floor. The android then lifted her hand and placed it around its neck. The other wyverns didn't seem to want to try and get close. They all seemed to be very wary. She pulled out a rope from her wrist and forced into its mouth pulling it tight. She jumped from its head to its back and pulled back with furious power making the wyvern buck into the air and take off in attempts to relieve the pressure.
The rope was slowly digging into its mouth as it began to fly. Its screams seemed to make the earth shudder and shiver. The pressure around its mouth began to ease off but it kept on flying. Kurumi banked left, and then right, forcing it to move in those directions. The other wyverns seemed much more concerned in checking the dragon laying motionless on the floor than chasing her. She went back towards her own empire after successfully capturing this dragon, hopefully the lord will be happy.

Teishoku's feet blazed across the ground. He realized the area around was pretty familiar. He stopped immediately and skidded to a halt. The dust that kicked up almost knocked him over. He laughed loudly. He loved that move. But his laughs were short lived. This was near the place where he'd been kidnapped the first time. He shivered from the memories.
Teishoku walked around silently. Bandits, bandits, bandits.....If i was a bandit crew, where would i hide.... He froze. He realized that he was walking into a graveyard. He smelled cooking meat and heard laughter. Movement caught his eye and he saw the bandit crew he was looking for. They were several yards away, sitting on some tombstones cooking some type of game they had killed.
He dropped down quickly and rolled behind a tombstone. He began to panic. One, he could handle. 2 might give him a challenge. If he truly focused...perhaps he could've taken down 4 of them......maybe. But there were 6. All armed with short swords. There were 6 and if he got up, all 6 of them would see him. He stopped and thought quickly. Then he scrapped thinking. He wasn't a thinker and there weren't many strategies that would help in this moment. He grinned to himself. Meitei would've known what to do.
He sat up and once again wished he'd gotten some alcohol. These bandits better have some loot. I'm gonna be pissed if they don't. He scanned the ground for some insects. He didn't feel like running into this fight without magic. He was, however, dismayed when he found that there were no animals of any kind to be seen. He sighed. Well, at least this won't be boring...

Meitei continued running using his beggar lightfoot. A valuable technique, it was. Could help him travel over long distances quickly, and that was helpful in many situations. But Meitei looked like a mess. For one, he was naked. He didn't like to be naked, unless he was in a shower or in a girl's company. While bearing no clothes, his scars showed. Black stitches covered his whole body, from head to toe. It was a bother. Girls don't like stitches......do they? Meitei sighed, and continued running. Ever since he was captured, strange things have happened to him. For one, there were the wings that "disappeared" that night. That was a complete mystery and no matter how much he thought, there was just no explanation for the wings. Well, except one. Metiei didn't think it was possible, but he read a book before. In it contained a whole informational text on shadowbeings. This was an ancient book, and it was found in his father's library, so Metiei knew it was important. Turns out that shadowbeings can shapeshift their bodies. While it was unlikely, Grell could have changed Meitei into a shadowbeing. Meitei didn't know how he could do that, or why, but that seemed to be the most logical explanation. Genetically, it made no sense. But magically......Meitei was born in the Dark Empire. And that Grell character did seem sure of himself. Meitei made a mental not to read up on that later.
Where the hell am I? What did that creep do to me? Man, I really want some whiskey. Meitei was so deep into thinking that he didn't pay much attention to the area around him. He was running so fast that most of his surroundings were a blur to him. He didn't pay much attention to anything around him. Bad idea.
He crashed. He didn't know where, how, or what he crashed into, but he just knew he crashed. Ow. That hurt like hell. He thought to himself while recovering. He stood up and regained his focus. He looked around. It seemed that this place was destroyed. Rubble and debris filled the place everywhere, barely anything remaining. What happened to this place? Must have been destroyed or something. He looked to see who he crashed into and he almost yelled his name out. Out of all the people in the world, it was Teishoku, his adoptive brother.
"Teishoku? What the hell are you doing here? Hows it been buddy?" Meitei reached his hand out, completely unaware of his nakedness.

(( twisted ...hehe...sorry but i needed to get to Meitei as quickly as possible. You can pick up the six bandits if you want.)) 1 Elite Shadowbeing Strength: 38/100 Defense: 15/100 Agility: 68/100 Dexterity: 15/100 Endurance: 33/100 Magic: 70/100 3 Skilled Shadowbeings Strength: 30/100 Defense: 10/100 Agility: 50/100 Dexterity: 10/100 Endurance: 25/100 Magic: 55/100 Four powerful shadowbeings stood a distance away from the two men as the observed the naked one. They instantly noticed that he had the dark bloodline in him. They watched his movements carefully as they surveyed him and wonder what his potential was. They walked over slowly as they observed six humans with swords that seems less then ordinary and would serve as nothing more then obstructions. They wanted the shadowbeing boy. The elite leader nodded as the four skilled ones made quick work of the six bandits. The poor humans tried to swing and attack but the shadowbeings proved to be too powerful. Within a blink, the six bandit were on the floor beaten to a point of near death. The elite continued to walk slowly as he approached the naked one. "You are a shadowbeing. Join us."

Teishoku's jaw dropped. He watched as the 4 creepy dark beings dispatched his targets with unrealistic easy. Saved me one hell of an a** kicking... He tied the bandits together by the legs and tied their hands behind their backs. Crap...I gotta drag these guys all the way back to the Wind Empire. He stripped one of the bandits of their clothes and tossed them to his brother. "Dude.....seriously." He placed the rope over his shoulder and began to drag them. didn't even find any liquor. This sucks...
He flexed his muscles and strained to pull the group by their ankles. They moved through the rubble slowly. He kept pulling. Dammit! These guys are freaking heavy! He dropped the rope and ran over to the nearest one. He punched the unconscious bandit in the face. Not for any particular reason, but because he was quite irritated by the events over the past few days. He stood up and bit into his thumb. That had been the location of his earth rune. Now the rune read 'nature'. As his blood coated his thumb, he watched as his hand turned dark brown. It itched a little. It felt sorta barky. But when he flexed his arm, he felt himself much stronger. He lifted the rope and pulled, the load feeling like a couple of stones instead of an entire boulder. He pulled them more confidently and headed towards the Wind Empire. I hope I'm getting paid for this....preferably alcohol

Meitei couldn't believe it. This past moth has been hectic. First he gets captured by a tiger creature, only to be taken to a wild tribe and be judged by their people. Then his empire gets bombed, no doubt instigating a war that nobody needs right now. After that, he is forced to beg to the Wind Lord to stay in the Wind Empire, making this the 3rd empire he has called his home. Oh yea, and how could he forget getting captured by a weird scientist and getting some weird s**t put into his body. And now these emo dudes want him to join them? Really? Is this how my life is going to be?
Meitei looked at the group for a while before remembering he was naked. He took the clothes his brother tossed him and began putting them on. So I am a shadowbeing? That's perfect. But how? And why? Meitei couldn't help but think about his situation. If these people know that I'm a shadowbeing, they must have learned from someone else. Grell and I were the only ones in the lab when the "transformation" happened....right? If that was true, then Grell must have told somebody. But he wouldn't brag about a "failed experiment" as he called it, unless he was ordered to do so. Meitei finished dressing himself, the clothes a little big for him. Meitei observed the group, taking in their appearance. They held blank faces, not showing the slightest hint of emotion. Meitei shuddered to himself. Creepy. He assumed the one who spoke was the leader, for he seemed to have more authority then the others. The guy looked more creepy than the other ones. Meitei stared intently into the guy's eyes, trying to read his expression.
Meitei walked up to the group. "Uh....hi? You want me to come with you, am I correct?" Meitei looked each one in the eye, awaiting an answer. After a couple of tense seconds he replied "OK then? I'll come with you. But if I may, I think I know whats going on. I was captured a couple of nights ago by a weirdo named Grell. After injecting me with some weird s**t, he called me his "failed experiment" and kicked me out the window. Now, I'm pretty sure that no one was near our location when that happened, but I'm not certain. If what I have said so far is the truth, then there are two explanations. Either somebody was near me when that happened and has been spying on me ever since, or Grell was instructed to capture me and transform me into a shadowbeing. After performing his task, he contacted the one who instructed him. Seeing that the experiment was a success, or failure, you guys have come to take me. I am still not sure about the reasons, but I'm guessing all of this was planned just to transform me to a shadowbeing....." Meitei paused, considering his next words carefully. He didn't want to piss these dudes off, especially after witnessing what they did to those bandits.
"Like I said before, I will come with you. But, I have a couple of conditions. First, I want complete and total access to every book you guys have." Reading was one of Meitei's strong suits and he wanted to learn as much things about shadowbeings as he could. "Second, I figure you guys are going to train me on how to be a shadowbeing. I am prepared for that, but I am not evil. I am willing to kill people, but not innocents. Third, I want answers. I don't expect an answer to every question I ask, but I want to have a general idea on whats going on. And fourth...." Meitei flashed his devilish grin at every member of the group. "I want some alcohol."

He kept speaking about some scientist named Grell and some kind of conspiracy. Orin's lackeys couldn't help but laugh at him and think about how stupid he looked. The elite shadowbeing spoke, "Look you fool. I can tell you're a shadowbeing by your appearance and scent. I have no need to spy or do anything else so pathetic and meanless. Your first request, declined. We have no damned books. Second request, declined. You're going to need to stop having such stupid principles. Third request, declined. If I want you to know something you will know. Fourth request..." Orin then quickly kicked Meitei in the gut as he looked down upon him. "Declined damnit. Feed your own damn addiction you drunken b*****d." Orin looked at the other beggar who was collecting the bandits. He looked back at Meitei who was on the ground. "I will show you how to become stronger. I will show you what it means to become powerful. "Evil" is only a concept of mind. I will show you how weak your perception of "good" is." Orin looked over his shoulder to see one of his minions and nodded. "Kill the beggar over that's there with the bandits."

[[wow sofa king, thx for the hospitality -_-]]
Meitei struggled to breath on the floor. OK, so maybe that didn't work out so well. That b*****d didn't have to kick me though.... Seems like this guy wasn't a people person. Getting all his conditions turned down was a bad hit to his ego. Normally, Meitei would kick his a**. But he couldn't in this situation. There were four of them and these dudes just annihilated six bandits like they were nothing. He didn't want to end up like them.
Meitei carefully got up, struggling to deal with the pain. That dude can kick like a mother..... he thought to himself. After coughing for a few moments, he grinned at the group and spoke. "You got a hell of a leg, don't you? *cough* OK, seems that I was wrong. I apologize. I can manage without books and I understand that I do not need to know every single detail. But......again, I will not kill any innocent, including my brother." Meitei focused his weight on his feet and chest. This way, if any of them did attack, he would be prepared and might even be able to dodge. He didn't like getting hit. Not twice. After realizing that nobody was going to strike him, he continued, but still kept his guard. "Now, I am willing to join your group and I humbly apologize for questioning your authority." Meitei almost sighed. He absolutely hated apologizing, especially to douchebags. But this guy was strong, and Meitei knew where his place was, even if he hated it.
Meitei looked at his brother, who was now collecting the bandits that were defeated. "I know this isn't going to lighten up your mood, and I am fully prepared to take punishment for this, but....." Meitei paused. He really didn't want to get killed today. His week has been bad enough. "But....I cannot kill him. I am a beggar before a shadowbeing, and while you may not understand it, beggars do not turn on each other. Its sorta in the unwritten code of laws." Meitei stared intently into each of the beggar's eyes. Surprisingly, he wasn't afraid. As a little kid, he was taught by his father to never be afraid, no matter how bad the situation was. If you showed fear to your opponent, you showed weakness. So he continued to stare, keeping the devilish grin on his face. OK, these dudes are probably going to kill me. If I can cast a blinding illusion, I might be free, but the chances of me being successful are slim to none. If these shadowbeings let Meitei join, it would be a great opportunity. These guys seemed really skilled, and Meitei could learn a lot from them. But, Meitei was prepared to defend himself if they attack, though he would most likely get killed. So he waited.

1 Elite Shadowbeing Strength: 38/100 Defense: 15/100 Agility: 68/100 Dexterity: 15/100 Endurance: 33/100 Magic: 70/100 3 Skilled Shadowbeings Strength: 30/100 Defense: 10/100 Agility: 50/100 Dexterity: 10/100 Endurance: 25/100 Magic: 55/100 Orin looked at Meitei and for a moment, everything was silent. Not only did he actually smile but he laughed, which was something that no one had seen him do in over fifty years. The look on the beggars face was something that had more then surprised him. He must have known that if Orin wanted to he and his comrades could dispatch him and his brother without much struggle but still he spoke so boldly to him. Either Meitei was courageous or he was a damned fool who would no doubt lay in a puddle of his own blood. Orin walked slowly towards Meitei and focused heavily on his body language, trying to see if even a modicum of fear would reveal itself. He could not find any. Not even a part of Meitei heart held fear but Orin was determined to change that. A purple fog spread from the feet of the elite shadowbeing and circled around the man and Orin. Instantly they were both put into Orin's Illusion World. An illusion magic that was special to all shadowbeings and top notch compared to other illusions that others might use. While Orin and Meitei were in the purple cloud, Orin's minions began to make their move on Teishoku. They quickly formed a circle around him and focused as they prepared themselves to strike down the lowly beggar prodigy. Inside the world that Orin created there was nothing but a black ocean and the two warriors stood on top of the still water. As Orin walked small ripples appeared in the water and he begun to speak, "Meitei. You do not seem to understand what you are. You do not comprehend what your brother is either. And furthermore, you do not see what destiny your stars have set out for you. Forget what you and your brother were before today because now you are a Shadowbeing and he is an Ent. You two are natural enemies. The stars have chosen for you two to do battle just as me and my brother Jurak did many years ago." As Orin speaks the black sky around them that was nothing but void space begins to show images. In the image you see two young bandit boys that were very close to each other. They fought alongside each other, they robbed people together, they would even occasionally ******** girls at the same time together. Then one day everything changed. The images show Jurak as a Naturia Sage and Orin as a Necro Archdemon. The two fight viciously in a forest but in the end Orin stands tall as the winner. The images stopped flashing and the sky reverted to a black void. Orin looked deep into the eyes of Meitei. "Do you see now? Shadowbeings and Ents are direct opposites. Ents are here to preserve and give life to the Oukoku Seken, and we, the shadowbeings are here to end and devour life in the Oukoku Seken. I can see it in your eyes and heart. You wouldn't have had the will to transform into a shadowbeing if you didn't have a bit of darkness in you. If you didn't crave to master and find out a bit more about your power. You felt and defenseless when you were being transformed. I know this for fact. I can read it in your heart." The images started to flash once more but this time they showed a possible future if Meitei allowed his darkness to flow more naturally. The images showed him finally surpassing his brother and become stronger then his father ever was. You could see it and feel it in his atmosphere. This version of Meitei was powerful. More flickering occurred the scenes showed Meitei living in a life of luxury. No longer did he have to life on the streets and constantly feel the burn of disrespect from people that walked by him. He lived in a large home that had plenty of woman that all held and crowded around him. They seemed to worship him like a god as they all grabbed and kissed him and one sat on his lap, ready to ride him. The flashed stopped once more. "This is your chance. Will you join me? If you chose no then I may just have to kill you. Maybe then I could give you a demonstration on the power you gave up." Orin would not break his gaze as he looked at Meitei and awaited a reply.

((you jerk!!! you said I could have the stupid bandits! scream ))
Teishoku slowed down because he heard movement behind him. He turned around quickly. The scene he was privy to, dropped his jaw once again. One of the creepy guys was covering his brother in smoke. Not really my problem, they 'did' said he was a shadow being. He knew that was terrible logic, and if he had to he was of course gonna go save his foster brother, but he didn't look like he was in pain...or discomfort at all. It looked like he was under an illusion. His illusions never killed anyone. He'll be fine. He thought as he lowered the rope carrying the 6 bandits. His adrenaline had been pumping moments before and now it was gone. He really didn't feel like doing anything. Especially if his brother was in no danger. But he lowered it anyway and got ready to go back. Then he thought back, and realized that when he'd been captured by the Ents, his brother had been nowhere to be seen. This could be like that. He resigned to stay back and watch until the scene was over.
Teishoku flinched. He remembered why he'd turned around to begin with. There were three reasons coming up fast. They surrounded him quickly. The energy around him was building. What the hell did Meitei do??? He better hurry up and fix it, I can't take these guys. He dropped the rope quickly and assumed his drunken stance. Dammit! every single time I go somewhere i get attacked. And whats worse, I 'never' have alcohol on me. This has gotta stop... He knelt down and placed his pointer finger and middle finger on the ground, then in one fluid motion, jumped up, spun his entire upper body around and slammed the fist into the ground. Dust and rocks exploded upward, coating himself and the assailants in a cloud of debris. Stall! Stall! Stall! He achieved his drunken stance again and tried to give his brother time to get these things called off.

Meitei stared in wonder at the area around him. What is this place? he thought to himself? Darkness filled the sky, revealing nothingness. This "world" had no scent, had no sound. Only emptiness. Meitei instantly knew he was in an illusion. His father taught him how to recognize illusion spells. But this illusion was different. It had a strange.....aura......to it. It was more sinister than any of Meitei's illusions, holding barely any emotion at all, if any.
Meitei's heart sank as the shadowbeing went on. Teishoku is an Ent? When the hell did that happen? Meitei took in all the information the shadowbeing fed him. He was a quick learner, usually understanding things far before anyone else. But, he had to admit, this was a lot to take in. Destiny, darkness, sworn enemies. It was becoming confusing for Meitei to comprehend. But one thing was clear. Teishoku was an Ent and Meitei was a Shadowbeing. They were natural enemies. Meitei cursed his luck. I can't kill my brother. Not now...... He let out a big sigh, looked at the shadowbeing, and spoke.
"I will come with you." Meitei didn't know if he would regret this in the future, but for right now it was either this or get killed. The training would be beneficial to him, and while he wasn't used to harnessing dark magic, he was born in the Dark Empire. He might be skilled at it. He just didn't know if he could kill Teishoku. This was his brother for crying out loud. He wasn't sure if he could ever kill him.
"I ask that you call off the attack on my brother. I know that one day, I will be forced to kill him. But that day isn't today. Please call off the attack. I will gladly accept any punishment for this." He continued to stare down the shadowbeing, regaining his confidence once more. Maybe, he was just crazy. After all the hell he had been through, Meitei wouldn't be surprised if he was.
"I am willing to go with you and your group. I am willing to learn under your authority. I am willing to learn the ways of the shadowbeings." He kneeled down on one knee and bowed his head, showing submission. He wasn't exactly sure if he could be evil, but for now, this was his best option. He could figure out all the details later.

Orin then snapped and the three shadowbeings that were going to attack stopped appeared behind him. The wind slightly shifted in the atmosphere as Orin gazed upon Teishoku and then back at Meitei. "You have made a wise choice. From now on, you are no longer a lowly drunk beggar. And he is no longer your brother. We, the shadowbeings, are your family and we will take much better care of you then those beggars ever have. You will be strong and wealthy and all of your hearts desires shall be fulfilled." took another look at Teishoku who looked as if he was shocked. The stars of destiny shined bright as history repeated itself but this time the cycle would break with the Naturia Sage's death. The Almighty God of the Stars would no doubt be watching this epic story unfold from start to finish while he was in the Garden of Stars. Orin looked at Meitei once more, "Let's go. We're leaving now. I will train you on how to become strong. The next time you meet up with Teishoku, The Naturia Sage, it will be in a fight to the death."

Meitei looked around as the darkness disappeared and they were once again facing the normal sky. The leader of the group called off the attack, like promised. Meitei felt a little better, but he still was feeling a little dizzy. Leave behind my life as a beggar? The concept sounded new to Meitei, but according to the shadowbeings, it would be better in the future. He would have limitless power. He would have anything he wanted. He would have a better life.
He looked Teishoku in the eyes one last time before turning around. His brother was now his enemy. Destiny could be a b***h sometimes. He wanted to say goodbye to his brother. He didn't want to walk away without telling Teishoku what was happening. But as the shadowbeing stressed so much, they weren't brothers anymore. They were enemies.
