It was another beautiful, chilly winter evening and Nealite once again found herself sitting alone in the park.
Her expression, unlike the night before, was now grim and gloomy. Thankfully, her nose had not broken, but it was still quite sore to the touch, thanks to the heel of ******** Sailor Whateverhernamewas.
God, she hated senshi.
So here she sat yet again, this time on the park bench as opposed to the tree branch, waiting in earnest for a possible rematch, should the little tart decide to brave patrolling the park once more. Nealite was ready, she was just itching for a good catfight.
Cold hands rubbed together, the leather of her gloves attempting to keep her palms warm as her fingers moved up to run up and down her arms. Her uniform was definitely not meant for winter months, and it would only be a matter of time before she'd call it quits and go home. But for now, she waited.
Surely at least someone would enter the park, so she wouldn't have to go back to the apartment empty handed?

It was official. Castor's life was either a horror film, or it was a bad soap opera. Because only in those settings did you find your bench, with your biggest arch villain...rival..person....thing, sitting on it. Nealite, his nemesis.
On the bench.
His bench.
Their bench.
"Get off of my bench." He hissed out his words, trying really hard not to attack. She was still a threat, skirt and cleavage aside. "Get. Off. Of. My. Bench." It was the City's bench, but to him, it held meaning. And her butt on it was like a mockery to the meaning.

Eyes glanced over towards the angry voice and she straightened herself up where she sat.
Castor.
"Fancy meeting you here, Castor darling."
Her attitude had quickly turned a full circle, the scowl moving up into a leer as she swung her legs over onto the bench, now completely covering the concrete slab. She'd been hoping for the golden girl, but Castor was quite the replacement.
Her head tilted and she stared around his feet. "What, no cat this time? Or is dear old Astraea just going to show up once I've beaten the s**t out of you again?"
The score was tied between them (at least in her opinion). Twice now, she'd beaten him senseless. Twice, he'd beaten her. It was time to take things into overtime... or was it?
"Your name's not on it, by the way," she added casually, one hand moving down to pat the concrete she sat on, "And she's not coming, if that's what you're worried about. I'm sure she's off with her tongue down Hematite's throat."
Gloomy face returned. ******** kids and their ******** tonsil hockey.

'ASDFGHJKL' Castor's train of thoughts were along those lines. Incoherent and angry. Deep breaths Castor, deep breaths. It might have sounded like he was wheezing really. "Astraea isn't here right now." he put a little emphasis on the a** part. "And I think we're tied in terms of who's a** has been kicked by who." With a small smirk, castor was managing to keep his anger under control for now.
So long as he was cocky, he could hold back from rushing into a fight, (if that made any sense at all). Ignoring better judgment like he normally did, Castor boldly sat himself on the edge of a potted plant near Nealite's feet. "If Linarite is happy with...Hematite," he frowned at the name of his romantic rival, "then I have nothing to object. She is smart enough to make good choices and if she is happy..." He smiled, obviously thinking of her. "I am happy."
It was so cheesy you might get a clogged artery.
"But what brings you out here tonight? Surely you're not here for my benefit."

"You're also a terrible liar," she half scoffed, half laughed. Her arms fell behind her and kept herself propped up as she stared down at him. He didn't appear to be on the offensive... she'd keep an eye on him, but everything seemed civil for the moment.
Well, as civil as it could get between senshi and negaversian.
"Waiting on a golden friend of yours," she finally admitted, "She paid me a visit yesterday and I wanted to return the favor. I fear she's a bit chicken, it seems, but you'll make for decent company instead. You know, as long as you don't have any stupid little cats showing up to save your a** again, dear."
One hand rose so she could examine her cuticles, humming softly and she flicked away a speck. "And yourself?"

He grunted at her accusation. It was partly true. He loathed the idea of another guy winning over the girl he liked, but...if she was happy... (but if he ever saw this Hematite he was going to get a face full of Castor fist. That should be a given). At 'golden friend' Castor's intrest spiked. He only knew of one 'golden' senshi. "Alkaid?" The one who basically acted like a pissed off cheerleader? "She's a b***h." Castor thought alot of girls were bitches.
"Me? Doing fine. Beat up a few less then spectacular youma, saved a few people, got laid, you know." He was grinning at the getting laid part. "The usual."

Tucking away that bit of information in the back of her mind, she peered over to stare at him further. Why wasn't he attacking her? Castor despised her, nearly as much as she despised him, and had the magical capabilities to let his wrath, let his anger known. And, of course, she was on that stupid little bench of his and Audrey's... so what was the deal? Nealite had no offensive attack (though a mirror slap did sting, to some extent) and had been caught off guard by his arrival. Why hadn't he attacked from the start?
"Laid."
She chuckled, but said nothing. Her smile grew dark, however, as the memory of what Audrey had said resurfaced in her mind. Tanzanite. This b*****d had fooled around not only with her rival, but her best friend as well?
"I'm sure you were having fun scoring with all the 'negababes', as you say, and senshi. Moved on to men yet, Castor dear?"

Crossing his arms and giving a huff, he looked and sounded like a five year old as he said "Wouldn't you like to know." He did frown at the men part. "And the day I move onto men is the day my d**k falls off. Too bad it's permanently attached." This was subjective, if you had a knife. "As far as negababes go...I'll content myself with chasing after one in particular. The others were..." he waved a hand in the air. "Well one was a bit of an accident, the other was just a test. Both were excellent kissers though."
Castor figured that it was no secret about his 'adventure' with Tanz. Val he could allude too, but, he wasn't going to rat her out. He did remember Tanz's reaction to their...crime scene after all. "One girl I thought was a negababe...ugh. A man. A man inside of a chick's body. Kunzite. It's like a reverse trap." He shuddered at the thought of him having hit on a man inside of a girls body.

"Mmm, I'm sure Linarite would appreciate hearing abo---what did you just say."
Her cheerful disposition (if you could even call it that) quickly evaporated as the name Kunzite left the younger boy's lips.
Kunzite. ******** Kunzite had talked to Castor?
"You... you met Kunzite?"
Her legs dropped back over and off the bench, her eyes narrowing and staring directly into Castor's baby blues. On second thought, to catch herself, she added, "And he didn't kill you?"
Her mind was still attempting to process all of this. Kunzite. The ******** who was responsible for Nova's death. The one that had nearly killed Charonite in the Negaverse subspace. The man in a child's body that was apparently more deadly than the General-King himself.
And he was talking to Castor?

Flinching and jumping back, ready to defend at Nealite's outburst, her question drew a bit of curiosity. Why was she so interested in Kunzite? Not only that, but why did it get such a rise out of her? "Nooo...." Slowly, Castor returned to his former position. He was still wary. Both of Nealite and her odd outbursts. "We talked for a while...about....well about the whole senshi gig." A shrug. "********, IT wasn't that talkative. They didn't kill me though...to be honest, when we first ran into each other, I thought they were with you guys!" A laugh escaped. "Sh- Kunzite explained...sorta. Something about a prince and court and other stuff. Made about as much sense as green ketchup."
Castor, comparing cavaliers to ketchup.
"But, they're an ally...ish. I guess. At least they're not one of you guys."

She sat there silently, taking in both his reaction and his information. So Castor and the others hadn't known of the Cavaliers, not if Kunzite was being mistaken for a Negaverse agent. As dim as he was, Nealite considered Castor one of Astraea's favored (hell, why else would the feline always be around to save his a**?), so for Castor not to know...
"Prince? Court?"
Both eyebrows rose this time, her hands falling down to grasp the edges of the bench. She was leaning over by this point, drawing closer towards the senshi. In retrospect, she probably should have kept a fair distance, but this was Castor. The only reason the little twit had beaten her in the past was pure dumbass luck. What should she be worried about?
"What else did he tell you? Did he mention Charonite? The Negaverse? Me?"
She fell silent for a moment, the wheels in her head turning. Judging by Castor's last statement, the boy was unsure. Could she play off of that uncertainty?
"You know," she stated slowly, purposefully, as she moved to sit back further on the bench, "I really am surprised he didn't kill you, considering what he did to the last senshi he came into contact with..."

At least this time she didn't make him jump up. But her edging close to him did make the scout take a small scoot away. He wanted to be out of starseed stealing range. Just for safety. Not that he was scared or anything. (He wasn't. Honest!) "Er..Kunzite didn't say much. How ...he (Castor was still so very confused about the gender issue), was some Cavalier of a 'Golden Kingdom'. Earth court. Lunar court, I think that is what we senshi are supposed to be, alot of mumbo jumbo." Waving a hand in the air Castor dismissed it at trivial information.
He rubbed his arms from the cold. In the back of his head a little voice was saying 'Those are important things you should know about!' but he ignored it. Last time he listened to it he ended up kissing a negaverse girl. Not that is was a bad thing. He just didn't trust the voice in his head that much anymore.
"Kunzite also mentioned a Queen Beryl of the negaverse. Kind of alluded that you and Charonite answer to her. Other then all that?" He sniffled. "Nope. Didn't really talk about you guys. And why are you surprised he didn't kill me? Kunzite is an ally. Sorta." Shrug. "What did he do to some other senshi?"

She stayed quiet as Castor explained. The Golden Kingdom? The Earth Court? There were so many questions to ask, but it was obvious that Castor had little to no further knowledge on any of these things. And, thankfully, little to no knowledge on Queen Beryl. Her identity was still safe... for now.
All the same, even hearing these names was more information than she'd had before, and it was a start. Everything had to start somewhere.
"He stabbed her. In the heart."
Her eyes were focused in the distance now, thoughts of Sailor Nova coming to mind. She'd been such an awkward little girl, even from the start of her short time in the Negaverse. Awkward, but sweet in her own way. Despite having her star seed corrupted, she'd expressed more concern and emotion than many of the female lieutenants ever cared to.
Nealite still had the doodles, tucked away in her office desk. She couldn't bring herself to throw them away, when she'd moved back to Hillworth.
"He took her star seed, left her body for anyone to find. That 'anyone' just happened to end up being the Negaverse."
She fell silent at that point, refusing to divulge any more details. She'd let Castor come to his own conclusions of her story, hopefully conclusions that would warp his opinion of the Cavalier, perhaps go as far as to plant the seed of doubt in his mind, a seed that would blossom and spread like weeds among the other senshi. Leave it to Astraea to keep them uninformed; perhaps that would one day be their downfall, their lack of communication.
Nealite could only hope.
Rising from the bench, she brushed herself off and sent a dismissive look towards the younger boy.
"You're mine to kill, not his, you know. That's the only reason I'm telling you any of this. I would be more than disappointed for you to die at the hands of that b*****d when it's me that should be ending your life."

He was silent for longest Nealite had perhaps ever seen him. Castor's blue eyes were downcast, and he looked oddly thoughtful. He looked downright serious. "Nealite." Her name was spoken without the normal venom and distaste. It was bland, lacking the emotional rise she would normally want. "We senshi are alone." It was foolish to divulge so much to his enemy, but, it seemed like she was perhaps the only one he could tell. "We awaken alone, with only a cat to tell us our new job."
Pulling out his henshin pen, Castor held it out to show her. "We are left alone, only a pen to help us." His voice was strangely on the rise, yet is was not filled with anger. "We fight alone. When we find each other, we either band together, or we band together for but a flicker in time. Half of us are unaware of our own kind, let alone of you, the negaverse."
He was speaking too much. More then he probably should.
"I don't know s**t Nealite." He returned the pen to his pocket, facing Nealite. His face was so different. It was lacking. The mirth, anger, it was gone. A plain, emotionless face stared at her, voice deadpan, but loud. "Senshi. Cavalier. Negaverse." He looked at her eyes, almost searching. "In the end, we're all human. Prone to death. Our battles should only better prove that fact. But I do know this." His fist clenched. "If Kunzite killed a scout, and left them for you to find that tells me two things."
The first emotinal sign. A smirk. "Who ever they were, they were not an ally to the senshi. Kunzite spared my life, even after I attacked them and insulted them." The grin widened. "It also tells me that you're afraid." The grin was now from corner to corner, it mocked her. "Because, it tells me that Kunzite knows something we don't. Something you don't want us to know. You want me to question him. To fear him." male pronouns. Castor was over the gender identity crisis? "Because you know they're our ally. Your enemy. And Nealite." He chuckled.
"I don't plan on dying anytime soon."

Her somber expression grew even darker as she listened to his reaction. It was true, he was revealing far more information than she had expected him to, which was a small consolation for losing her chance at sending another enemy in Kunzite's direction. Castor was, unfortunately, smarter than she'd taken him for. Could it be possible that more than just luck had helped him escape in their previous encounters?
Nealite remained there, quiet, her fists clenching as he addressed her. That little b*****d. He was worthless, then, if he couldn't even take the bait, couldn't prove himself useful for her devious needs.
There was only one thing left to do.
She turned towards him, facing him directly. Her hands moved up to rub against one another, as if she were straightening her gloves. Nealite returned the smirk, and nodded her head. Her left hand casually drifted up to play with her hair, though her fingers remained suspiciously curled.
"It wouldn't be fun if you planned on it happening, Castor darling."
And as the word darling left her lips, her fist went sailing towards his face, smashing against the side of his cheek.
