It was early yet again, working hard on her search Kona had left her sleeping friend to come and search more for her companion, her cheetah. Kona was very happy that she had met the lion that was helping her, he was a great aid, but some mornings she liked to get up a little earlier and search places that perhaps a lion wouldn't go, it also gave Kona time to think.
Kona slipped in and around trees here and there, keeping her nose up in the air trying to catch the sent of another creature, preferably Hetal, the search was always about Hetal. Iztel was up early as well, well rather she was up still from the night before. Iztel was a bit of a night owl, she enjoyed the noises of the night here and there, the movement of the hunter and the hunted, it was all rather magical.
Itzel was lounging in a forest, something that was somewhat rare in her country here, but yet she had found one. She was laying on her back staring up at the sky watching the light glisten down through the leaves, causing a green light show for the lioness to watch. As she stared at her own private light show she heard the tell tale pitter patter of feet heading her way.

Kona stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the lion lounging, she had yet to meet a lion that caused her any problems but she knew out there were lions that would see her as there dinner, or at this time of day there breakfast.
She stepped back and forth, by now she knew that the lion would have caught her sent, possibly even seen her. She wasn't sure at this point in time that running would be the best idea, running may only induce a chase, and Kona knew that she wasn't going to win a chase against a lion.
Instead she took a step forward, her best motherly expression on his face "Err Hello there. I uh didn't mean to disturb you." she smiled hoping that the lion she meant was a friendly lion not one that was going to rip her to shreds.
Itzel rolled to her side, she wasn't in the mood for hunting, she had already gotten her bellies full while she was up all night, now she was happily lounging. "Oh hi." she said to the small serval. She meant the little one no harm, even if she was hungry she didn't often go for servals, they didn't have enough meat on there bones, and the meat that they had was stringy and gross. Not that she planned on telling the little serval that.
"What are you doing out here alone, you know its not really safe for your kind out alone like this." she smiled at the serval so she would know that she meant the serval no harm despite her comment. "My name is Itzel" she told the stripped serval, "What is your name?"

"My name is Konata" the little silver serval told the lion. She smiled at the lions concern for her safety. "I have been on my own longer then you probably have been alive my dear, really I am quite self sufficient."
She was touched by the lions worry but it was totally unnecessary. Kona had been on her own since the pride had collapsed but she hoped dearly that she would be able to find her companion soon, her little charge, that she was sure would now not be so little.
"You my dear should be safe as well, a young lion such as yourself, you are vulnerable out here all on your own. Where is you home?"
Itzel rolled back towards the serval, a home what a novel idea. It was confusing to her, "Home, hrm home. I don't think I have one of those." she told the serval honestly. Itzel wasn't sure if she ever had had a home, but she knew she didn't have one now.
"I am a traveler!" she said with a smile on her face, being a traveler was fun in her opinion, it was an adventure everyday, mind you almost anything was an adventure for Itzel, she rarely had memories that spanned day to day.

Kona smiled, she wasn't sure what Itzel was talking about, it was confusing that one would not have a home, didn't everyone have a home? "But how little dear, how does one not have a home, everyone has a home, its where you are happiest, where you go at night, where you lave your loved ones, where you leave your possessions that you care about."
Kona nodded she knew a lot about home. She hadn't seen hers in a long time but she knew that it was out there, it was where ever Hetal was at this given point in time.
Itzel managed to smile while the serval talked, it wasn't like she didn't want a home. A home sounded perfectly lovely but at the same time she wouldn't be able to remember it one way or another if she did. "It is possible that I have a home somewhere, I just don't remember it, I don't remember much."
Itzel had grown sad, though of course being her there was an upside to most things, she wouldn't remember this saddness in a few days time, her life would be filled with other memories of the day before hand, it was a new experience always, she sometimes wondered if she relived the same moments over and over again, but she had no way of knowing.

Kona smiled this poor dear was obvious living a very complicated life. However Kona was becoming aware that she had been sitting here for a long time, and she had hoped that this lion would have been able to tell her information, unfortunately that meant that Kona didn't have the time to sit around talk to someone that wouldn't be able to help her at all. She felt horrible for thinking like this but Kona had been searching for so long, and she didn't have to time to waste with someone who didn't have the information she needed.
"Well... " Kona started unsure of what to say to the lioness. "I suppose if you are happy then that is all that is important." Kona smiled hoping that the lioness thought that was enough.
Itzel wasn't upset with the little serval, and she didn't mind that the Kona didn't understand. Most didn't understand Itzels odd ways, heck Itzel didn't understand it all most of the time. "I am a happy lioness, life if a great occasion for me everyday."
Itzel rose to her feet and stretched thinking about going for a hunt, finding some food and eating. Eating was something that Itzel could forget to do at time, she was often lost in her own thoughts.

Kona smiled and rose to her feet as well, taking the lions movement as a way of getting away from the awkward interaction. "I am glad you are happy." Kona told Itzel. It was a genuine feeling, Kona would be unhappy if she knew that another creature was unhappy.
"I am sorry to cut this short dear, but I must be going, I have a friend to find." It was strange the first time she brought up her Hetal was as she left, but she knew enough that this particular lioness wasn't going to be any help. "It was a pleasure to meet you."
"I am glad we met Kona." Itzel told the striped serval. It was a true thought at the time, but she knew in a few days the whole exchange would have been forgotten, an erased memory lost amongst many others.
"I hope you find your friend." she told Kona, she wasn't sure what friend the serval was looking for but hopefully it would be found. "I am going to go get some food now, thanks for keeping me company."
Itzel moved away from the serval and began to hunt, making a note to herself not to catch any servals.
