Mission: 1.} Find out where the Elite's are keeping their weapons. 2.} Find if there are any hostage Spartans
It seemed easy enough, but it was an arduous task. All he had to do was be a scout. It wasn't the hardest mission he'd ever had, but it was still important. It required him to go all the way on the opposite side of where he lived. Somewhere he had never been and it was almost otherwordly. He was well prepared for the mission. Well equiped. Rocket Launcher with plenty of amo, duel SMG's, and a Battle Rifle. A few grenades of choice, and some health packs. Cortana had installed a map into his armour. He was good to go. Before he had left his father, D'Artagnan, one of the most devoted Spartans he knew, gave him his usual advice. He always did before anyone in his family went off to work. It was now ingrained into Pierre's mind.
The Pelican had dropped him off in a rather gloomy looking place. The air was thick and full of poisinous gases. If he hadn't had his armour he would have surely suffocated in an instant. The ground was soft and pourous. Strange tickings, clicks, screeches and rumbles would sound at random occasions filling the gasous air with a symphony of disturbance and terror. But it didn't really bother him. After all, he'd seen it all. Acrid black bare trees stood sharply from the ground, giving full way for the clouded sky to drape over. Pools of stagnent liquid were littered everywhere, some with steam rising from them, and all of diffrent shades and colors. Not the most fun of places to have a mission, but hey. That was all part of the job.
As the pelican began to take flight it made a miny twister of the thick air. Jon'Pierre watched as it became a tiny dot in the sky. His head slowly lowered back to level. Little screens poped up behind his helemet taking readings of his surroundings and his location. Looking up, he started forward. "Here we go..."

One would think that being in a place like this would be the best, but looking around her area of her poisonous bog in the maze bored her. The dead and dying trees, the poisonous fog, the disgustingly wet and squishy ground.. it just wasn't enough for her anymore. Velena wished for a reason to stay in the area perfectly made for her, but she found none so she began to wander.
The day turned to night, but one wouldn't be able to see much of a difference due to the dense, voracious fog that swirled through the air. Velena trudged through the seemingly endless marshland.
After hours of meaningless wandering she heard the stirring up of something unfamiliar. Curious by nature, she was bound by it to find out what it was that was making the unknown sounds. As she came closer to the noises she saw someone moving around in the dark. As to try not being seen she climb up one of the nearby trees and watched the stranger closely as she could

As he surveyed the area the question came to him with a cringe of distgust. Why would anyone, or thing, want to live here? Even an Elite. It seemed so... outlandish. He stepped lightly, so as he wouldn't sink into the ground. His tail held almost straight outward, except for the tip arching upward. Tucking his head down as if he were in a hunting mode, he advanced forwards friskly. Ears plastered back against his helmet as his senses heightened. A small screen poped up at the right of his visor. Someone, or something, was watching him. His eyes narrowed. Continuing, remaining unphased, he stayed calm and on guard for what ever might approach him at any moment. He was ready for anything.

She stayed perched up in the tree, just watching the figure move through her swamp. She wrapped her tail wrapped around the trunk of the tree because she felt herself beginning to slip a bit. Her claws dug into the branches and they made a crackling noise. She quickly pinned her ears back and hunched down as to try to not be seen. She wasn't worried about running into any enemies because she was strong enough to have the title of "Maze Boss", but she felt like being sneaky.

Instantly hearing the crackling from one of the devestated trees. A smirk snapped across his masked face. Nothing could hide from him. After all he was a third generation Spartan. Part of one of the strongest Spartans around. Adrenaline began to pump into his veins, a sign that he was ready to rumble with what ever dared to face him. A little alert poped up on his visor directing him to where a life form was positioned. Armoured paws dug into the ground before he reached into a hidden compartment on his adament metal. Soon his form began to disappear and become completely invisible. In this form, he slowly began to advance towards where he was directed, barely letting his paws to touch the ground, and refusing to make a sound.

'Oh shoot!' she thought to herself as she peered back out and noticed the strange figure had disappeared. 'Where'd he go?' She frantically looked about, but could not find it. Knowing she couldn't stay up in the tree, she slowly began climbing down, crackling of the dead bark grew louder with each slide down. 'Why couldn't I have wings? Nooooooo... I had to be stuck without them!' she thought madly to herself. She finally reached the base of the tree and slowly, and quietly as possible, stepped down into the wet bog. A look of disgust came over her face as her paws became soaked once more, and she became totally preoccupied with the fact that her paws were soaked.

Mangaging to have creeped up behind her, he stayed ever so still. Thankfully his helmet even silenced his breathing. His eyes watched as the exotice female seemed to struggle with the inconvenience of the grounds state. Stepping lightly, he advanced closer to her, his eyes running up along the spine the protruded on her back. What was she...? His readings began to give him bits of info about her make up, but none that really answered his question. She didn't seem armed, so he decided not to leave her in suspense any longer. "You know... it's not nice to spy on people.." his smooth baritone voice teased, alienating itself from the uncanny noises that would statically sound.

"WHAT THE?!" She jumped and shouted at the sound of a voice speaking to her. She looked to the left, then the right, then spun around frantically while looking for where the voice was coming from. She stopped and crouched low to the ground, her tail twitching rapidly from side to side. The vertebrae on her back started growing spikes from them and two horns began to grow from her bone helm as well. "I'm warning you!" she yelped into the dark, looking slowly side to side "I may look like an easy target, but I won't go down easy!"

"mmm.. spunky.. I like that.." he teased, circling around her. He inspected her as he circled, watching as her bones began to transform. How intriguing. Maybe she did have something up her sleeve that he had underestimated. Leaping over her gracefully, and landing quietly, he stood perfectly still. "Why are you spying on me, babe? Are you with the Elite's?"

"'Spying' on you?! I wasn't 'spying' on you!" She scoffed. The tip of her tail flicked with annoyance at the very thought. "It so happens that this is my part of the maze! I'm a Maze Boss and you better not try anything! I haven't the slightest of what these 'Elites' are, but I'm certainly elite in this area...." She stayed hunched over, ready to attack if necessary.

Stepping forward, his muzzle only inches from hers, he let his invisibility dissolve. His body had contorted to mimic her stance, yet his tail tip flicked playfully. "Is that so?" he teased. It didn't seem like she was aware of his task at all. His readings would have told him if she were lying or if this were some sort of a trap. But they remained silent, save for the constant screens that gave him random info of her body make up.

"AIYAH!" She screamed and jumped back as he appeared right in front of her face. She quickly turned around and snapped her tail at him, all the while her heart was thudding in her chest from being startled. The spikes growing from her skull and vertebrae started seeping out toxins. The poisons started dripping down her body, covering her in a protective coating.

Easily dodging her attack, he simply stood calmly. Watching her as some sort of film began to coat her, his readings started informing him of her current state. Hm... she's panicking... Keeping very calm, only his tail swaying at a slow tempo, he tried his best to relax her. After all, he couldn't waste his amo on something that was not an Elite. "Looks like you got your little paws dirty, sweetheart." his voice was lax and cocky.

"Well of course they got dir..." she started saying in a sassy tone, then she stopped. Slowly she looked over his body. She noticed his armor and became very interested in what or who excatly was standing there. Her body began relaxing more as she didn't feel so threatened, more curious than anything. She took a couple small steps towards him, tilting her head slightly. "What are you?" She stopped a few inches from where he stood, then sitting up on her hind legs she poked at his helmet and pulled her paw back when she heard the strange metallic sound resonating from it.

If he wasn't trying to be inviting, he would have given a small laugh at her disposition of having dirty paws. But he let it go. Ooh.. Sassy.. A grin crept behind his helmet. Her question though was just asking to be laughed at. And so he have a light laugh. "What am I?" he was rather shocked by the question. Who didn't know what a Spartan was? "I was going to ask you the same thing." Her curiousity was entertaining. As he watched her from behind his visor inspect his armour, he cocked a brow. What was she.. some sort of outcast who hadn't been allowed to be in society or something? Everyone knew who a Spartan was. But she obviously showed the signs of being a virgin to their presence. "I'm a Spartan." he stated.
