Adelaide stood in front of the boy, annoyance flashing in her eyes.
"I'm going to ask you again. Have you seen them?""'Splain 'em. Wha'd they look like?" the stable boy asked, examining his cracked and dirty fingernails.
Adelaide sighed in exasperation,
"Two women, one with dark hair, pale, on the beautiful side of good looking. The other has brown hair, she's really pretty. A man, dark hair...kinda handsome. Probably with a giant a** sword that could cleave you in two."The boy looked to the roof.
"What's it worf to ye?" he asked, rubbing his fingers together.
Adelaide groaned. Quick as a flash the slammed the boy in the face, causing his nose to bleed, then pushed him up against the post.
"The health and dignity of one incredibly annoying stable boy." she said arm at his throat, and a fist in his stomach. The boy whimpered.
"It'll be nice hearing you explain to your manly friends how you got beat up by a girl."
"Fine! Fine! The man bought three horses and they left."
"Which way?"
"Toward the arena! The pretty one looked 'urt or sommit. They was 'urrying!"
"Thanks. That wasn't too terrible. And you got to keep some of your pride in exchange." Adelaide let him go, then ran up to a wall across the street. She pulled herself onto the roof of a building and began heading for the arena.
