Several years of relative peace had graced their planet. With fewer and fewer threats to deal with many of their former rangers had either retired or gone on to other endevors within SPD's main base. This left Commander Crueger with the task of picking a new team of rangers to be on standby should another viable threat to their safety ever show itself again.
He had spend countless hours on this task, despite his supposed promotion to the head of their organization. He just couldn't leave the tending of the everyday matters to Doctor Manx back on Earth, so he'd left headquarters and returned for an indeterminate stay at his former haunting grounds on Earth.
Five files were strewn out across his desk, only three of them open at the moment. The team was to be called in together, save for their soon-to-be red ranger whom he would question personally to be certain the young man would be up to the task.

Zane and Claire walked in, chatting idly between each other, making small talk. Zane looked up, his black hair falling in his face, covering his eyes. He brushed it to the side, his whole air casual and welcoming. He smiled, only the left corner of his mouth lifting, dimpling that cheek, and sparking his eyes, which seemed every bit as black as his hair. He was tall, and thin but muscular. He was wearing a long sleeved shirt, but faint black lines were visible through it. "Oh..." he chuckled, "Looks like we found the office..." Claire nodded. She was little above elbow height on Zane, with cropped blonde hair right below her chin, with the ends flipped out around her face so she looked like a pixi. She was thin, with a curved figure and a light, natural-looking tan. Her eyes were a piercing green, with a cute inquisitiveness to them. She smiled, her eyes scrunching up like a happy child, "Looks like we did. I told you it wouldn't be hard." Zane nodded, his hair swooshing back and forth with the motions, "This place is so big... You have to cut me some slack." he teased.
