Biography:
Kritines Windwalker is the son of the Sorcerer and Necromancer Alest and Deisynne Windwalker. Deisynne died in childbirth. Kritines was taught the art of sorcerery as a child, and was very adept at it, although there were a few mishaps in his training. When Kritines was of age, his father gave him a bag of gold and his old staff and sent him on his way.

Kritines went from town to town, giving assistance whenever he could. Most of the time, this entailed slaying the occasional monster that ravaged the town. He lived the life of a traveler, going from land to land. At one point, Kritines became an assassin for hire, but has long since given up that occupation.

At one point, Kritines came across a scroll that granted wishes. Kritines, being young and greedy, decided to cast the spell and wish for a king's fortune. The wish was granted, and Kritines became very wealthy. Unfortunately, the gold was not his. The local King's treasury suddenly became very empty. The King's seer was able to track the gold to Kritines, and now he's wanted in the kingdom for theft of the King's gold. He now has assassins from the kingdom who wish to take his life for his large fortune.

After hearing about the death warrant issue for his head, Kritines returned home to lay low for a while. Upon his return, he learned that the Necromancers have stolen his mother's old scythe, claiming that a Necromancer's scythe upon it's owner's death "belongs to the Necromancers". Kritines took it upon himself to retrieve it from the Necromancers' lair. After successfully infiltrating the lair, Kritines was able to retrieve the scythe from the Necromancers. However, when he located the scythe, he found that the necromancers did not only steal his mother's scythe, but her body as well, making her into a powerful Lich. Kritines was captured and forced to battle Deisynne to the death. After a lengthy battle, Kritines prevailed, but not without being "marked" by her. The mark is a simple skull that is on the back of his right hand. The secondary effect of the mark was made clear to Kritines that night, he was plagued by horrific nightmares which continue to this day.
He now wears his mother's scythe on his back, and is now targeted by Necromancers for stealing something that is theirs.

Kritines has since taken up treasure-hunting and travelling, hoping for a way to get rid of the assassins, necromancers, and his mark all at once.
