Journey's tail swished happily as she woke up on that bright winter morning, the sun shining through the canopy of leaves above her and the slight layer of snow beneath her hooves crunching from her weight. Beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of ice and snow dotted the forest, covering nearly every surface with a shimmering, glittering layer of fresh powder and smooth, slick ice.
Stepping carefully, but still with a little extra bounce that she thought she had lost, Journey picked her way out of her cove of frosted ferns. She looked behind her, up at the glittering branches of the trees, down at the hoofprints she was making, in awe of the beauty. She had seen a few winters before, but this... this one was different.
Then, being the ever-so-watchful mare that she was, Journey ran right smack dab into something. Chuckling to herself, she looked at what she ran into; a stallion. Oh crap.

Khajag failed to notice the approaching mare as well. His attention was caught on a pair of birds interacting with each other. Flitting about each other, jumping branch to branch, sending droplets of melting ice to fall onto him. He was amused by their antics, wondering what exactly they were talking about, or wondering if it was a normal thing. Maybe they were a bickering couple? He would never know.
Then he felt something land into his derriere, causing him to move forward. He was already standing near a tree, and if pushed forward, he might was well be pressed up against it, which the push did cause. He made a strangled-like noise, not knowing how to react. He immediately tensed, not knowing whether whatever pushed him was aggressive or not.
