 ugh. So help me out here. These are 2 of my OC's. The girl is ok so far. But they guy! He needs something. I was thinking something across his chest. Or around his neck. Do ALL steampunk guys HAVE to have vests? This guy, he comes froma poor family and only has about $20 to his name. So he has home made clothes and the like. I'm not sure what to put on him as to not make him look silly wearing it. He's an inventor/tinker type. He carries tools but I'm not sure a side bag would be good. They're usually coming out of no where, like pockets and belts. But I don't want him to be to heavy. HELP!!....so lost.

when i'm tooling around in the workshop nothing beats a heavy cotton apron with a bunch of pokets.

sorry, but the title of this just cracked me up so bad...
as to outfit ideas, look up victorian male dress, possibly factory workers outfits, and see what inspiration you can draw from that. as for tools, what about a homemade bandoleir, maybe a length of rope with loops knotted into it for his tools? i dont know what they are called, but i can tie a type of knot which can be widened and tightened without coming undone, so maybe use a load of those so he can put each tool in, then tighten it around the tool, rinse and repeat
