~Undertaken~ "As I walk upon this shadowed land, I shall not fear. For in fear, lies weakness. In weakness, lies pain. In Pain, lies despair... and in all, lies death. I smile at my tears, and keep them in my heart. I hold the wolf by the hears, and Fly by my own wings. Every man is the artisan of his own fortune. Every woman must find one... or make it. My life... for yours.." ~Linesa Karsin, 1884-1911~The year is 2141. The world as we know it has been all but destroyed by nuclear holocaust. All the world's technology, their history, and culture had been all but erased in the pages of history over the course of three short years. No one who survived the horror, live today to speak of it... The age of Technology has passed. Now almost a century later, those few to remain in the world, have gathered in the ruins of America, forming their own society in an attempt to preserve what remains of the Human Race. Little did they know that their efforts would not go unchallenged. The Town of Wormwood, located in the ruins of what was once called, Las Vegas, is the First town rebuilt by human hands. Many have come to call this pace the last sanctuary, as they've found that there are other creatures that now plague the earth, mutated by the radiation left behind by the Nuclear attacks. Carrying with them a deadly affliction, the suriving humans fight not only to rebuild themselves to their former glory, but to survive in general. Where will you fit in?

General Rules *Note* ALL of you are expected to obide by the Gaia Terms of Service. So make sure you do that. Just because you're in a guild doesn't mean that you are exempt. 1. No Godmoding. Plain and simple. 2. No Cyberring. Romance is allowed, but not to the point that it can be mistaken for some kind of hentai. 3. This is a THRID-PERSON Rp. If you find it hard to write in the 3rd Person point of view, don't bother to Join. 4. Try to Be at least SEMI-LITERATE. I can't stand to read posts full of fragments. If you cannot use a spell or grammar checker, don't join. You will only get embarrased. 5. Profanity. Hell, Damn, and ocasionally Sh*T. Nothing else. NOTHING ELSE!!! 6. Racist Remarks will not be tolerated. Period. 7. Don't duplicate other charcters. Use your imagination people. 8. Don't disrespect the other players. (GMs and Moderators included.) 9. What is said IN CHARACTER, stays IN CHARACTER. 10. HAVE FUN. If you can't do this... I don't think t his is the place for you. In Character and NPC Rules 1. You are not God... Even though this RP makes religious references, there is NOT a character for GOD or any other Angellic Entity. So do not attempt to create one. 2. ONce you have submitted your profile, it will not be changed until the start of the next Saga. If you need to make any other changes before then, contact a GM or Moderator for assistance, and let them know the nature of yoru situation. THey will make the final judgment call. Wanting to change your profile becuase you don't like loosing a fight, is not sufficent. 3. If you are applying to play one fo the NPC's know that what you see is what they are. You only control their actions.. you do not dictate how powerful they are. The NPCs are there for a reason and playing one of them does not make them your character. 4. All grievances and concerns are to be handled through PMs. Do not fill my board with OOC brackets and arguements. IF you cannot handle it yourselves, contact a GM/Moderator and they will handle it for you. 5. Have fun... Again and again.

The People and the Afflicted ~The Humans~Humans are on the verge of extiction. THose who survived have gathered at Wormwood. They come from all backgrounds, but over time have developed into a single ethinicity, with no distintive features. They are the most easily influences by the others, and the Afflicted. They face the potential to become one of them. ~The Anakim~The Anakim are what are commonly known as vampires among the old stories. They are those humans who have been mutated by the radiation that emits from the soil itself. They need living blood to sustain themselves, and often target humans. They are immune to the disease carried by the Rephaim, and can feed from them should they choose to do so. ~The Rephaim~The Many are those who have been reanimated by the radiation in the soils of the earth. They are most commonly related to the walking dead, and need living flesh to sustain themselves. They are immune to the disease carried by the Anakim and may feed upon them and humans alike. ~The Emim~The Emim are those born of this world immune to the effects of the Others, and the radiation in the soil. In a sense they are evolved humans, but are naturally stronger than the traditional human. THey are few in number, and tend to favor no single faction. They will do what they must to survive, and will most often fight one another. They do not need living flesh or blood to survive, they simply cannibalize their kills, and those foolish enough to wander into their territory.

~Wormwood Landmarks~ ~The Station~Abandonded Long ago, the station only serves as a landmark in Wormwood. There has been no activity for quite sometime, and a train has not been seen on the Railroad in almost a century. MArks the entrance to Wormwood. ~The Tavern~Located on the East of the Town, the Tavern serves as the primary source of entertainment. Owned by Casseil Neiro, she maintains the Tavern with her Daughter, Isri. THose who are looking for rumors on the laster activity outside of the Town frequent this place.. as well as for other reasons. ~The Bounty Hunter's GuildEstablished by the previous Sheriff before he fled the town, the Bounty Hunter's Guild has seen better days. It was once the foundation of the Sheriff's war against a Bandit King known only as The RingMaster, but it has been abandoned since the Sheriff's escape. ~The Chapel~Broken down, and full of holes, it still bears the scars of the previous raid on the Town of Wormwood. Many of the Townsfolk believe that the structure is haunted and stay away from it, yet there is one man, the Town's Priest, Azriel, who frequents the building. What he does inside, no one is certain, but to date, he is the only man who dared set foot inside, and returned to speak of his ventures. ~The Inn~Located near the Western Edge of the Town, the Inn has seen better days. No one to maintain it, it looks nothing more than an abandoned estate at the edge of town. Many steer shy of this place, simply because it is a known haven for the Rephaim. With no one to hunt the beasts down, the inn remains their safe house, and those who enter its domain, rarely return the same as they were before. ~The Sheriff's Office~Just at the name states, it is the office of the Sheriff, and the Town Jail as well. With no sheriff to run it, the building simply collects dust and joins the others in theri time in waiting for the day the town finally succumbs to the evils of the world. ~The Town Hall~THe home of the mayor, and the site of the Town's Meetings and Trials, this building serves as shelter for those who would not defend their home. With the JEster and his band of Outlaws scouring the outlands about the Town, many of the Townsfolk frequent this building. It has survived many an attack and show no sign of falter, as if it was Divinely Protected... ~The Graveyard~The execution site for the criminals of the town, and those captured by the Villagers, the graveyard holds many secrets that has yet to be discovered. The Undertaker, Linesa Karsin, finding her home here, she cares for the dead and ensures that no one who crosses this hallowed ground, disturbs the dead, less their spirts rise to claim theri vengeance upon their living flesh. Current NPCs ~Azriel Rioux~ ~Destiny Marshe~ ~Casseil Neiro~Isri Rewell~ ~Jasper the Jester~

Name: Chanlyeya Iniabi *Otherwise known as Coyote Age: 21 Race: Emim Occupation: Not Applicable Weapons: Yew Bow, with arrows laced with a plant based toxin (Moonseed Oil razz aralysis/Death. And Wintersweet Sap: Neurotoxin, Fatal) Steel Hunting Dagger, and Bison horn dirk. Appearance: Chanlyeya is a young girl, though her youth is heavily clouded by her feral appearance, sometimes referred to as quite bestial. Long untamed locks of a dark burnette hang down to her lower back with faint highlights throughout the tresses from her many days within the sun’s glow. Hazel eyes with an overpowering glow of gold peer sharply from behind lash hooded eyes, it is not a kind soul that resides behind those orbs. Nay one that relishes in dealing cruelty back to a world that did such great harm to her over the years. Chanlyeya’s skin is a deep olive tan color, allowing her a natural camouflage when among the wilds surrounding the human outposts and towns. Customarily this young huntress will be wearing some form of paint upon her face, normally a deep russet crimson streaked in a band across her eyes. All of this in an effort to startle and frighten those that stray into her territory. Some see this child of the wilderness as one of the long since forgotten natives that once roamed the plains, others see her as nothing more than an animal. Nonetheless, Chanlyeya bears a daunting and altogether startlingly feral visage, well suited for her chosen home within the wilds. History: Chanlyeya has known only the wilderness within her ever so brief lifetime, as she has known nothing but this untamed land. Her earliest memories are filled with the images of ragged fangs and blood, of the pack and her adoptive mother and her children. The coyotes had taken the girl in when she was no older than two, finding her alone and weeping among the dry scrub of the desert lands, deserted by her own kin. Thus Chanlyeya had grown up among the pack, learning the ways of the hunt and even the value of life itself. Ironic that this family of predators could teach the girl so well the lessons of the wilds. All things were connected, the prey and its hunter, along with the mother and child, all things were dependent upon each other for this was the rule of the wilds. Either you respected the law of the wilderness, or you soon found yourself a rotting corpse within the brittle sands of the flats. Chanlyeya soon learned the language of her foster family, also being taught the fine details of the hunt, things that no human trapped within their failing civilization would come to know. It was somewhere into her seventeenth year of life (quite simply she had lost count by then) that Chanlyeya was sent out into the world alone as she had outgrown her furred kin, for she was no longer a helpless infant. It was here that the rumors of a feral child began to spread into the towns and sanctuaries of the humans, then in later years the tales of some bestial entity roaming the scrub lands, one that the humans came to call Coyote. Those that roamed along within the desert lands alone would sometimes turn up upon the doorstep of Wormwood, their bodies gutted by some strange bone blade, their flesh butchered; a warning perhaps…that the humans should not stray to far from their own lands. And as such Chanlyeya remains among the wilderness, ever watching and ever hunting. Preying upon those that threaten her territory.
