So, I saw Avatar today. It was pretty and gave me motion sickness, basically. Besides the obvious Ferngully/Matrix/Pocahontas/Dances with Wolves references the movie contains, there's a few things about the movie that appear, at first glance, to be WoW refs. Even though I know they aren't, it's fun to think about. Plus I'm bored. Hey internet look at me I saw a movie.
~Na'vi look like draenei/troll/nightelf lovechildren.
~Contains a "world tree" and several other trees as the centerpiece to life/ancestry.
~Some kind of strange ore lifeblood (unobtanium lols) under the tree vs blood of Yogg'Saron s**t living under Northrend (ok that's a stretch)
~Fiery destruction of "world tree" on Pandora vs fiery destruction of world tree on Azeroth
~Gross mating scene lols >:3

If they ever made this into an MMORPG, with all the armor options and the class balancing, then it would REALLY HAVE a chance to beat WoW, LOLz

But, I heard Avatar: The Game is pretty awful. Same. The graphics for the scenery looks epics, but I heard the game play's not the best.

The Avatar game had the opportunity to be good, or at least okay. I've heard it's not TOO bad... but not good.

World Tree is not a WoW thing many different mythology contain World trees or tree of life. WoW is a giant parody of just about everything else.

Not to mention the floating mountains were very Nagrand-ish.
Overall it was cool to compare the movie to WoW throughout the movie.

It's a shame that it wasn't then I suppose.
When the a*****e jumped into the mech and out of the exploding plane (Which was ********' awesome), did anyone else think "FINAL BOSS APPROACHING" or am I just a huge nerd?
