History :
Saren was raised without parents, he was always in an orphanage where his friends soon disappeared to leave for new homes but because of his nature people thought him slow and did not want him. None of this ever affected him however, and Saren grew up in company and love; in stories of hope and faith. At four he heard a story of a beast like a horse that shown in purity and who had hardly ever been seen. This was the Unicorn, and Saren believed in the beast with his whole heart, as he grew older this did not change. Thirteen his Daemon appeared in his mind, and fifteen he saw it by his side flashing animal after animal.
He had asked the orphanage sister (Nun) if any of the animals she saw were a Unicorn, but she told him there was no such thing as a Unicorn. Saren cried and went into denial even as other children laughed at him. He did not forget though, that image in his head of a gleaming creature running through trees wild and free with none who could hold it. He wanted to see such an animal and he declared one day he would.
Sixteen he was sent to collage as his daemon was starting to show signs of settling, it now flashed between horses and of wild birds that sung songs so beautiful many could cry from the sound. Saren loved his daemon and often they spoke together, his daemon to believed in Unicorns and agreed that this animal had to be real for there were stories and paintings, great tapestries. When he turned nineteen his daemon was in settler form and he had learned a lot, despite being near an adult he still believed his Unicorn was out there and his daemon to.
They were called to retrieve texts and books for the collage and so they set out to retrieve them. When Saren turned twenty his daemon told him soon he would pick a final form and would be unable to change again. When they finally reached the place where the books were, Saren and Mir his daemon, both realized this is where they grew up. Together they went to the orphanage where the Nun they grew up with was still there now older and just as kind hearted and sweet, her barn owl daemon sitting on her shoulder.
Saren had to leave his daemon to enter the house and drink some tea, a little uncomfortable but nothing that hurt. Mid way between there tea Mir called out to him in a surprised and excited voice; Saren rushed forward and there before his eyes was his Unicorn. Mir made a bird like neighing sound and reared on his back legs proudly. Their caretaker fell to her knees and cried, Saren to had tears and hugged Mir tightly for he now knew even more there were Unicorns.
Together they collected the texted and books and made their way back to the collage, people everywhere they went would stop them and stare at Mir in shock; some demanded him of how he got Mir to change but he shook his head and together they went back to the collage glad to see their home again, and wondering since when he first thought the school as home. Also he and Mir were surprised to find Mir was a boy and not a girl as they had thought, but both knew what it meant and just smiled then laughed in delight.
