After his startling discovery as to who his new roommate was, Alexis found it imperative to leave not only his room but the whole Hillworth campus. Sure it was bitterly cold and the wind chill could eat through even the best of leather jackets, but it was still better than being around Elzo for any longer than absolutely necessary. Sure there was a chance he'd go through his stuff (a very good chance actually), but right now he just needed to get out; work off all that extra jittery energy and frustration with a good run.
And despite the weather, Alexis wasn't the only one out and about on this wicked winter day. Hell, there were even several people running about! "This is perfect!" Alexis thought briskly, smiling just a bit before the cold made it hurt. Having someone to race against (though, the term "race" is used quite loosely as the other party never knew they were being raced against) always made his runs more enjoyable and fruitful.
After scouting out the runners, Alexis chose one particular man to "race" against. He was definitely older than him, but not too old. And he looked incredibly fit. It was a good choice, and he immediately sprinted down the pathway to catch up with him. It only took a few seconds, which surprised the boy, especially since up close the man was even more impressive looking. And yet, even though he wasn't putting his all into it, he was surpassing the fellow with ease! When he had to make way for a pair of cyclists, he found himself still running faster! Even though he was in the snow!
"I've really gotten great at this," he thought proudly, continuing to run through the powdery snow. "Though...perhaps he's tired. Maybe this isn't an achievement after all..." The thought had Alexis turn his head about just slightly, just enough to see if the man's faced was flushed or if he was out of breath...
...but unfortunately he also turned his head just enough so he was unable to see what was in front of him, namely one young lady and her dog. Alexis turned around just in time to glance a flash of hair and skin before slamming into the pair, tumbling through them to land face first into the snow with a groan.

Each step was hollow in her ears, her thoughts torn between trying to pay attention to the world around her and thinking back to the night before. Lt. Moonstone... Lilith winced as Raja directed her into the park, and by doing so, jarring her still heavily bruised shoulder. That damn girl with her stupid mask... her head swam with questions and vexation hissing around her figure faintly. Sure she'd like to believe herself a very forgiving girl... but oh like hell she'd deny the grim satisfaction that she'd at least blinded the other girl for a little while.
As rather useless as it was, considering she had to run from the battle...
She'd been like this all day, waking in a small temper and grateful for any excuse to try and dispel it. For a while that meant doing homework, then after that, she typed up some short stories... but when she noted a heavy theme of combat and bloody scenes, she opted to oblige Raja's questioning barks and hooked the golden retriever up into her harness. She'd hoped walking the cold city streets would help clear her mind... but when she let down her guard and the thoughts of how it'd been up on these same rooftops the battle'd taken place, well... so much for that plan.
The park... she listened halfheartedly to the cheery folk around her, wondering vaguely what sort of surprises this place would have for her this time. It was like every time the blind girl and dog came here, something happened.
....like... y'know, when someone decides it's okay to run right into you. Mainly your right side. The injured shoulder side. She yelped, the impact and nice spiral of pain flaring up all together and sending her to the ground, landing at least on her knees in the icy white stuff. Raja was barking, standing between girl and boy (not that Lilith had any idea of the impact-y's gender), causing the blind one to realize she'd lost hold of the dog's harness in the fall. Gripping the cane in her right hand, she was at least pleased to find she still had that. "Raja, hush," she scolded the dog, carefully patting around the ground to try and find said canine, cursing a bit under her breath about the shooting pain in her shoulder. Her poor shoulder... "What the hell was that..?" Moment she said that, that gave a nice groan. And she blinked. Oh.
"Are you alright?"

Alexis hurriedly scrambled up from his not-so-comfy bed of snow as he expected the barking dog to go attack him for injuring his/her owner. He was so sure of this, in fact, that he left his glasses lying where the imprint of his face was, completely unconcerned about the fact that he was now viewing the world as though he was in a giant raindrop. At best he could make out blobby shapes, which was good enough for avoiding the dog...well...so long as it didn't start chasing him. Then he was well and truly ********, Alexis' ears still worked just fine, and (while it took awhile to register) he had heard the voice of a young lady calling what he assumed to be the dog off of its vicious intent to maul him (that's what the barking equated to in his head at this point). When his fear finally subsided, Alexis turned a bright pink as he realized he'd just slammed into a young lady and then stared at her while she tried to get up. "Oh...oh g-god! I'm...I'm s-so...so s-sorry," he stuttered, partly from embarrassment and partly from the cold. He moved forward to help the girl up but paused as he realized that somewhere in front of his feet were his glasses. "Aa-ah. Um. I-I'd offer you some help b-but," he paused to chuckle nervously and push up his imaginary glasses (it was a nervous twitch), "I'm rather blind at the moment."
Yes indeed. Alexis Brecht was one smooth operator.

She could hear the sounds of the other moving, noting she couldn't hear any accompanying sounds of Raja moving towards the offender. Rather, she felt a semi-warm wet nose press against her searching hand, a smile lifting her features. The dog was trained and she was trained well.
A boy's stammering voice reached her, turning her blind eyes towards him on reflex. Her lips pursed into a pouting frown, half her mind set to lecturing him about watching where he was going and how rude he'd been... only to be stopped by his rather ironic statement. At which she laughed. Lilith laughed hard. "Oh, I can assure you, mister. There are those worse off than you right now." Patting her canine companion on the head, she straightened where she knelt, trying to ignore the feeling of snow melting into her multiple skirts. It took a moment, but she was able to follow the dog's figure back to the harness, and using her cane, lifted herself to her feet. The act was slow, her trying to be careful and not slip on the snow again.
"I'm fine on my own, thank you... did you hit your head?" Of course she would have no idea he was without his glasses, but at least her dog was smarter in this regard than her as to why he couldn't see well right now. Raja, the good dog she was, had pulled slightly away from her mistress, sniffing out the glasses in the snow, and promptly picked them up gently between her teeth. They didn't belong to her lady - the smell was most certainly the boy's! - and pushed her nose accordingly into his other hand not near his face, giving a happy little sound as she tried to shove his glasses into his hand. Lilith, not knowing what was going on, frowned through the whole thing. "Raja?"

The laugh caught Alexis off-guard and a deep frown set into his features. "People worse off than me? Well...obviously...I won't deny that but...why is she bringing that up now?" He thought to himself, and tried to ponder the meta-message behind her statement. Was it because she was the one who fell into the snow? No, he'd fallen face first into it. Maybe because she got hit? No, he'd gotten hit just as hard (technically, physically).
"M-my head? N-no! No I'm...fine." His thoughts had distracted him just enough for his reply to her question to be suspiciously late. And, in truth, his head was not alright, not really. Physically sure, he didn't have a concussion and wasn't seeing double (at least, he was pretty sure on that, the blobs he was currently making out seemed to be singular entities), but his mind was an absolute mess. All he could think about was how he had slammed into this poor, fragile-sounding girl and then didn't offer a single lick of help. Not that he really could, but still, it was the principle of the matter! Never before had he been so rude in his life! If only his glasses frames were still made he would have risked breaking them in order to remain polite.
Yet again, in his flurry of panicked thoughts, Alexis wasn't conscious of his surroundings and yelped (quite unmanly like) when he felt the cold, wet nose of the dog on his palm. "A-AH! TH-THANK.....thank you," he said, and then mentally slapped himself as he realized that he was thanking a dog. "Like it can understand you, schwachkopf." He hurriedly shoved on his glasses, not even bothering to clean the bits of dog saliva off it as the most imperative thing to him was to help the young lady he'd ran into.
The moment his vision returned, three things happened in rapid succession. The pale boy's face blanched so much he could have blended in with the snow, then it turned beet red (as his previous question was answered with a resounding "DUH"), and then it blanched in horror again. "OH. OH GOD. OH." Blue eyes darted from the dog harness to the cane to the dog to her to the cane to her TO THE CANE. HE HAD KNOCKED DOWN A BLIND GIRL AND HER DOG AND THEN SAID HE WAS BLIND. If ever there was a moment where Alexis wanted to die it was then.
"I AM. I...I DIDN'T. YOU. I. WIE KÖNNTE ICH SO SCHRECKLICH?!" Alexis fell to his knees as the world around him spun (he really had to try and remember to control his breathing). "I-I AM SO SORRY. BITTE VERGIB MIR. OH PLEASE FORGIVE ME."

Once she was back up on her feet, Lilith was pretty okay with the situation. So he ran into her - sounded like both parties were unharmed, so all was well. Hearing him thank Raja (after his yelp, a sound that made her grin uncontrollably for some reason), she could only wonder what the exchange was between the two. "Well that's good," she said in response to hearing his head wasn't cracked open. "Wasn't sure if that was why you couldn't see-"
One moment, she was calmly responding to this nice sounding young man, who seemed just a little extra nervous than she was more used to, but nothing unpleasant per say. The next? The next he was going hysteric! She backed up a few steps hastily, eyes wide as she held up her hands in both defense and trying to calm him. "H-Hey! Calm down! It's alright, I'm fine, you're fine!" One hand waved empty, the other with her cane though she tried to keep it as far from him as she could to ensure she didn't accidentally hit him.
She could hear him hit the floor, his voice now much lower to the ground as he continued his rant.... and what language was that? "Would you just take a breath and chill? You're forgiven, or whatever." Lilith scowled, debating if it would be worth it to smack it with her cane. If he didn't regain his right mind soon enough, she guessed she might need to. "Why don't you just take a few deep breaths and tell me your name, alright? And... and tell me what language you where speaking just now?" She put on her best smile, hoping she was speaking calm enough to get through to him. He wasn't the kind of kid to lose it once and lose it for hours, was he?
