Sanaa grumbled as she dug through her mounds of... stuff, searching for that elusive piece she remembered stashing... somewhere around here. It was frustrating, not having the followers she was used to having. Back when she had a pride dedicated to her, her mountain had always been clean and organized, her things set neatly where she could find them. Back then, she hadn't had to search for her raw materials either, they'd always been in their bins, full and waiting. She grumbled again as she tossed a forgotten bit of brick-a-brack over her shoulder, hearing it clang as it hit the ground and fell apart.
Well... this mess was what came from disappearing for a century or two to work on a pet project. Next time, she'd do it where she could watch everyone, and make sure they didn't all die out, move on, or whatever it is her pride had done. But for now... where was that thing?

(( Alais owned by Truth.be.Told ))
Alais had wanted a perfect gift to give her family before she left. Something that would represent the bond she shared with her family. Of course...she couldn't ask her mother to make it. No...her mother would make fancy trinkets for Alais and her brothers...then make a humble thing for herself. And that just would NOT work. Their trinkets had to have the same theme to it, maybe with slight differences...And Alais herself had not inherited her mother's crafting talent. But the answer to her problem had come in a dream...
So she'd spent a few days keeping an eye out for especially nice little bits...things her mother might have crafted with, had they not been traveling. And then she'd told her family she had something to do. She would be back, but she needed to make this trip. And now...she stood at the entrance in the mountain, tail switching slowly behind her as she looked around the massive...den? No...it was more than a den. The materials were on the ground before her, wrapped in an animal hide...just various bits and pieces like small gemstones, exceptionally pretty rocks, odd looking bones, and a couple things left behind by those odd nearly furless monkeys. "Excuse me...I'm seeking the lady of this den!"

Green eyes blinked at the call from the entrance, things clattering to the floor as the goddess lifted her head from the pile she'd been moving about. She frowned at the noise, giving the pile a grumpy look before leaving it be... for now. She -would- find that bit of thing, and she -would- finish her project... but a break wouldn't hurt. Especially if there was a visitor that might have brought something for her.
Hardly as greedy as her friend Ubuge, Sanaa still loved getting things, since everything she got ended up being used to make something else. Of course, she often lost interest after that, but what harm? There was always something new to make and new things to try. Science and experimentation never rested! At least, not till she found out the secret to life... but her mind sort of slid away from the thought of what she'd do after she found it.

Alais was nervous inside, but kept herself composed on the outside. A lady was always graceful and never let others know when she was distressed unless needed! When the golden lady from her visions came into her sight, her ears perked up and she sat. "I...was told that the greatest of crafters lived here. And I brought tributes to add to her collection of things to use." She'd learned that not everyone believed her when she said she dreamed of something. So she'd learned to say she'd been...told. Not that she was lying. After all, it was the spirits that brought her the visions, so they were 'telling' her in a way.

Three sets of wings ruffled as Sanaa stepped into the light, all gleaming from the gold of her foreleg and sparkling from the bits of things she wore about herself. She made an impressive and imposing display, but was largely unaware of it. Atleast, most of the time. Palahala seemed to respond better when she did things to... spruce herself up, or whatever. And he seemed to like giving her things to wear, though she couldn't understand why... Chasing away that thought, she focused on the female before her, tilting her head as she took in the poised attitude and the bundle of things at her feet. The goddess's gaze sharpened when she spotted -those- and the pleasure of a challenge tugged her away from her gloomy mood.
"Hello, Mortal. Tributes? Do come in, and I can show you where to put them. I'd also like to hear what brings you to my den, though I have an idea already." She curved a smile on her maw as she waved at the huge entrance, turning to lead the way inside and to the back where her work bench was, following the weaving path between the huge piles of things she'd crafted.

Alais picked the bundle up once more and followed, and talked around the bundle. She was more careful in her speech, to avoid saying something wrong while her mouth was 'full'. "I seek a set of four trinkets...for my mother and brothers and I. We are destined to separate soon, and I want them to have a reminder that no matter how far apart we are, we shall always be family." She loved her family so...but she did not belong in the places they were bound to in the future. Her mother with Talamo's pride, her brothers in the desert and the dark lands...No. Alais was bound for somewhere where the spirits were revered and she would finally belong.

The goddess perked up, soft ears lifted to listen to the short explanation. Well, that certainly made sense. A lot of her requests to make things were for much the same reason. It was odd to her, wanting a trinket to remember by, but then, she was eternal and mortals were not. They'd done far stranger things, in her experience, and ones just as hard to understand.
"Well, you've certainly come to the right place. Once glance around should offer you hundreds of things to choose from... in trade, of course." She eyed the bundle dangling from her jaws with avarice, a warming smile on her face. "Did you bring things for me to make them with, or would you like to look through what I have and see if there is something you like?"

Alais thought a moment. "Perhaps...I could look for something." She placed the bundle down gingerly. "I was told it might be best to just bring tributes for you." It wouldn't do for the greatest of crafters to not have a wealth of materials, after all. "So what I have brought with me are things for you and your stores. Things so you might make other beautiful things, when the fancy strikes you." Because all of the things around her, all the things crafted by the magnificent goddess before her...they all had a sort of beauty to them. Even the scary things held detail and great care had been used in making them...It was truly a wonder to behold, this den.

Sanaa nodded distracted as she looked at the bundle, waiting politely, if a tad impatiently, for the lioness to set it down and step out of the way. "Oh, yes, feel free to look all you like. Bring what you find back here. If you find something, but can't find anything else that match, bring it and perhaps I can make something fresh." She said absently, waving her cream-tipped paw at the stacks behind her. Her tail flicked, the jewelery that dangled from her jingling musically.
The stacks loomed, as tall as Sanaa could reach, and she was quite a large goddess. But, at least they weren't too unstable, and probably would fall onto the lioness if she took something. They seemed to be loosely grouped, showing signs of once having been organized, and only lately had things added that might not fit the 'category'.

Alais nodded and moved out of the way, so the goddess could take the bundle. And then she proceeded to look. So many things...it amazed her one creature could make so much. Then again...the golden lady was immortal, and likely FAR older than Alais' visions would ever be able to reach back. She searched for quite some time, but finally found four little items that could work...yes. They would work very well. Different in small ways, but the center of each item (a necklace, a bracelet, and two earrings) was a piece of what looked like water-smoothed quartz. Perfect for her family. She carried the items carefully to the goddess, looking rather happy.

The goddess nearly forgot her visitor in the anticipation of new things, spreading the bundle reverently out on her workbench so she could get a good look at the offering. Yes, this was what a Goddess of Crafting would love to receive from her worshipers... things that she could use, could hold and shape and make into something beautiful or useful. Once, mortals has come in long lines to give her such... but no more. Which made this offering all the more worthwhile to Sanaa.
She picked through the bits and pieces as the lioness moved through the small(er) stacks of jewelry to find pieces that she liked. The ones she did select were an old set, older than the lioness though she probably didn't know it. In fact, as they predated Sanaa's 'hiatus', they were probably older than her many times great-grandfather... but they were still well made and lovely. The motion of Alais approaching drew the goddess's attention and she turned, focusing on the items she had chosen.
"Ah, yes. Very good choices. You have a good eye for quality." She said with a smile, though it would be hard to find something that wasn't good quality in Sanaa's den.

Alais gave a nod of thanks to the goddess. "My mother is a crafter herself...so she taught me what to keep an eye out for, though I, admittedly, have no talent for crafting myself." It would not harm to admit such a thing. And she had talents in other areas that made up for it...a keen memory, her visions, her quick mind in hunting. "I hope the materials are to your liking?" She truly hoped. These pieces were perfect. Beautiful and simple, with an odd depth to them...like her own family. And nothing about the pieces would clash with any of their appearances.

The smile that came from Sanaa was a more natural one this time, and she nodded graciously. "Its a pleasure to meet another who understands what I do, and one that brings me such lovely things." She nodded at the bundle, sitting happily beside it with everything sorted and set out neatly. "I truly do like everything you brought, and I should say they are more than fair trade for those trinkets. I, um... hope your family likes them." The social aspect of this was a bit harder for Sanaa, but at least lately she was getting more practice with making nice with mortals... and other gods for that matter.
"You are welcome to the pieces you chose, and you are welcome to return any time you feel you want something else. I always have lots of things here to choose from... and gifts like the one you brought will always be appreciated." She said softly, smiling again.

Alais gave the goddess a smile that had no politeness behind it, just genuine thanks and happiness. "Thank you!" She was a lady...but she was still young. "I shall make sure to keep an eye out for things...that way, even if I do not come with them, perhaps I can pass them to another who seeks you." So they might find something among the treasures the goddess had created. She put the trinkets on, for now, to make it easier to travel back to her family and not loose one. "Might I know your name? So I might send others this way when appropriate?"

The goddess laughed as she sat back on her haunches. "My name is Sanaa. Might I have the pleasure of knowing yours in return? So I might know who to thank when I get more visitors." She chuckled, looking thoughtful a moment before she swung a golden wing forward and plucked one of the feathers from it. The pain was unnoticed, the space of the missing feather easily filled with the ones that remained till it grew back.
After a moment of thought, Sanaa offered the feather to Alais as well, the gleam of gold coming from it when it turned to catch the light. "Call it a bonus... since you brought me so many nice things and took so little." She said. For some reason... she wanted this mortal to remember her, a great deal. Maybe there might be something to this memento thing... thus the feather offering.
