Because I have to get this s**t in here somewhere and I am BORED Right so here I will explain with my limited knowlegde and google, Cajun Style Voodoo. Maybe a little bit of New Orleans style thrown in for fun. And really it's just the basics, I don't know jackshit about the actual rituals involved in beseeching a Loa for help or calling on it to 'Ride' a person. Then again, Cajun Style is Voodoo, Hoodoo, a bit of Irish folklore, and something the Ougan/Mambo/Bokor read in a comic book once.
Any questions for good ol' Koko?

RIGHT What modern folk think of as 'Voodoo' is usually, infact, a little something called Hoodoo. The doll is your foe (Or sometimes not, bokor gotta eat) that you apply torture to as retribution. Now just jabbin' the doll won't do s**t. You have to ask a Loa (Or L'wa) to deliver the pain of the doll to it's intended target.

Right okay. A loa or l'wa is a spirit or god. They act as go-betweens for us and a Creator-Spirit. There are many kinds of loa, important or not, local or widescale. The most Famous of the loa is Baron Samedi, of the Ghede Loa.
