Well, I was poking around my itunes today when I noticed something shocking. I could have sworn I did, but somehow it turns out I don't own a single Ensiferum album.
I ran around Amazon, and while I was there I started picking up other stuff in the "I really ought to have this" category.
Ended up buying:
Above The Weeping World by Insomnium Swampsong by Kalmah Wintersun by Wintersun (another one I thought I had) Ensiferum by Ensiferum Iron by Ensiferum
I almost grabbed Liberation = Termination by Mors Principium Est while I was there, but I decided I'd spent enough money for one day.

Volvy Digital Malevolence I bought a new charger for my digital camera and a case for it, finally....two years later.... sweatdrop I guess that means I'm due... I got my digital camera for Christmas 2 years ago, and I still have no case for it. Thats when I got mine too. I told myself I'd never take it out of my house until I got a case for it so I didn't wreck it. Sure enough, its remained pretty much unused for two years which is why I had to buy a new battery charger, since I lost mine.

I also bought my dad a massive calendar for x-mas, my friend some jewellery and some food. biggrin I've never bought anything on amazon/e-bay. D:
I also approve of your CD purchases. 3nodding All my CDs are at my parents' so I've warez'd all the music on my computer. ninja

Volvy Above The Weeping World by Insomnium I must listened to this album many, many times via YouTube by now, but I still haven't gotten it. That's going on my shortlist. Speaking of Insomnium, has anyone here tried their new album? I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I wasn't terribly impressed by the 3 or 4 tracks I heard.
I too love Amazon. So much, in fact, that I signed up for their rewards Visa. My last CD purchases were Novembre's "The Blue", Aesthetic Perfection's "Close to Human" and "Ultima Ratio" by X-Fusion.

I keep thinking about it, since I buy about 70% of my CDs on Amazon these days.

Volvy Is that card worthwhile? I keep thinking about it, since I buy about 70% of my CDs on Amazon these days. Well, I've had it for less than a year, and I've already collected 50 dollars in rewards, 80 if you count the 30 dollar credit they give you when you open the card. It's really worthwhile if you shop on Amazon on a regular basis and/or make big purchases there. Aside from the rewards, there isn't really anything special about it in terms of financing. My APR is 19.24%, and there's no zero or reduced APR promotions on it that I'm aware of. That's not really a concern for me, since I pay off my full balance monthly, but I realize not everyone has the cash on hand to do that. You can redeem points for stuff other than credit on Amazon, like gas cards or airfare, but I don't spend anywhere near enough money to rack up that many points.

Obviously, it helps if you use it as much as possible, meaning that there's probably no point if you have a lot of cards. Still, you could just open it and get the 30 credit off a single purchase, and then close it after paying off your first statement.

Volvy Yeah, I've considered that. By the way, a distro I'd recommend if you're looking for good deals on some rare/semi-rare CDs is Nuclear Hell. Free shipping worldwide, and they give you a percentage discount scaled to the size of your purchase. The shipping is pretty sluggish, about 3 weeks to a month, but I can't complain, given it's free and their prices are so low. The only catch is that the CDs are apparently sourced from Eastern Europe or Russia, so they're distributed under some label I've never heard of, and have their copyright info printed in Russian. Besides that, though, the albums look legit. The artwork and album booklet are the same as the domestic versions and are printed in the native language. Which is, overwhelmingly, English.
