Eh, we do need a gold sink. Not so much me, as I don't really have all that much as cost-recoup has been an unfulfilled goal ever since I bought the Padmavati's Lotus, but Gaia as a whole sure could use one. It's kinda tacky to try and facilitate an economic necessity with a holiday, but it is themed well... And let's face it, the way that the Halloween event ended (and barely ended, at that) I think that we all knew we'd be seeing them again real soon.
I have to say, though, I wish that the homeless people around here and Pittsburgh were half as hot as Sentinel.

I'll buy the items I want after the event is over. Not only is the event not loading my inventory properly (it's only showing gloves and Donation Items) but I unlocked 3 achievements yesterday got nary a thing from it but still lost the items to the ******** engine. That cheer engine can blow up for all I care.
I will however go caroling. The spirited set this year looks absolutely fantabulous.

Y'know... I'm not sure if I should be disappointed that Gaia are just re-using their old xmas NPC art... Like Rina is now a little kid again, and Vanessa's back to showing off her boobies again.

The event worked fine for me for a while, but slowly became less and less efficient.
First it took the items and they disappeared as they were given; no problems.
Then it continued to take the items but they stopped disappearing from my inventory. This is easily worked around as I simply remember which items I had clicked on.
Now the huge pile of shirts that I bought to donate aren't showing up, leaving me to just hope that they fix it soon. stare

I only have this much unwanted items.. to hell am I going to give that much to a crappy event like this and I saw little point in the stand alone game..
