Dala stretched, enjoying the feel of the morning sun on his fur. It was warm, but not yet scorching. And the scent of flowers and moss and new growth floated through the air, encouraging his laziness. He wasn't the sort to really be lazy but...it couldn't be helped this morning. He smiled absently, then caught sight of one of the pretty red flowers that grew all over...and his good mood was rather ruined.
Ah...the beautiful cheetah that shared the name of Beloved Elua, and wore such a flower in her fur...She'd been so sweet and loving...But like her namesake, she could not give Dala the sort of love he wanted. Dala wanted someone to stand beside him and only him...
And that had not been Elua. She could not, for her heart was far too large. It saddened him. And yet, it relieved him to know that someone like that existed in the world once again.
