Is it normal for a period to stop for 2 to 3 months then start up again? Im scared

Yep. smile I don't know your age, but it's especially common when a girl is in her teens. Usually it will start off irregular, then even out and become more regular as she gets older. It can also get irregular due to the start/stopping of hormonal birth control.
However there are some girls who become women and never become regular. sweatdrop So it's not a guarantee. But to answer your question, yes it's normal. However if you're worried you can still check with your family doctor to be sure.

Niko is right. Some women are really irregular all their lives. Other women are irregular the first few years that they have their period, then they regulate. Others are usually regular for the most part, but stress and certain medications can throw them off. So it's usually nothing to panic about. But it is recommended that women see an ob-gyn if they ever go three months without getting a period just to make sure everything looks ok. Since it sounds like you started your period again, you might not have to go in just yet if you don't want to. But I'd recommend going in if you ever go that long without a period again.
