Teleza's large frame slowly lumbered along, his black eyes always watching the horizon. He wasn't afraid of an ambush, not with his massive size, but Teleza didn't like to be surprised by foreign creatures. There was only one creature he liked surprises from, and she could be heard from far away because of the bangles that decorated her paws. It was a fear that had been burned into him from his past life, when he worked in dark dealings between the royal families. He knew it was something that probably wouldn't go away, so he had come to just accept the little quirk of it for what it was.
The sun gleamed down, and Teleza felt at peace. He looked around him, scanning for a place to settle for the afternoon. He wasn't very old at all, per say, but his years had caught up with him. Besides, cat naps were a necessity to any creature, and he pitied those who were deprived of them. Circling around for a few moments, Teleza finally decided on a spot, curling up in the soft grass like a heaping mound of fur.

Awiti slunk across the African land, bored and tired of her daily goings on, she was looking for something moderately more interesting. The lavender eyes scanned the area before her, though she was seeing, she wasn't entirely looking. The lioness's jaws opened wide in a yawn and came out in a sigh. GODS was she bored. Insects buzzed around her ears and she flicked them away with great irritation. Maybe she'd find a nice mud pit to roll around in to keep the flies from biting her. She'd seen elephants do it, water buffalo too- so it must work. Her white pelt wasn't all too bright today anyway, so what would a little mud hurt, right?
But it was dry, too, and she knew she probably wouldn't have much luck during the peak heat of the day. The female now set out looking for refuge from the sun's rays, and happened to glance and see a lion with the same idea. She tilted her head, stopped in place, and watched the sides of the animal expand and collapse in a rhythm, and hesitantly, she took a step closer.
