I know playing tenor is the same as playing alto. The fingering and the notes are the same and stuff...but...when I tried playing it I'm always out of breath now. I use to play tenor...but now I suck and don't want to play tenor anymore cuz of that. Sure I can practise to improve...but what if I still end up playing horrible. What if I don't improve!!!!!

It definitely takes a bit more air to play, so just keep practicing. Your lungs should get used to it after awhile. Don't worry about it now, you're just starting it. I recently switched to tenor for jazz band, and I think my sound is a bit funky, too. It gets better over time- while in reality there shouldn't be much of a change in your embouchure, the tendency is to have your mouth too tight around the mouthpiece...at least, that's my problem, along with having my jaw too high. It takes time, don't stress too much over it. Even if it's similar, when starting a different instrument, it's a guarantee you'll sound bad for at least a little while.

it could also be the way you have your obisher, for alto you have to have it a little tighter, drop it a bit, trust me I play alto, tener, baire, and contra bass, my freshmen year I went straight from alto to barie, it sucked

Just experiment, though, see what changes make a stronger sound, more mellow, etc. It would help with your alto embouchure, too.

Well I dont know if this can help but, When I switched to bass clarinet I found it hard, as far as embrochuure size goes, and the size of the mouthpiece, you just kind of gotta get used to the whole thing of it xD so...what i mean is its pretty much the same embrochure...just bigger..and a little looser... I played tenor before aswell, it was a pain in the arse but eventually after your embrochure gets used to it it gets easier. good luck!

Ooh...
Switching over is a pain in the bum, but matbe you should go for a soft reed and make your way back up to a different one. You could also try taking in a bit more mouth piece to help with the air flow.
I played Tener last semester in my band, doing that helped me immensely. Plus after you get used to playong the Tener you won't be out of breath as bad as you probably are now.
