While everyone was sleeping, or she assumed them to be sleeping, Koko had stolen out of the 'sleeping circle'. It was the space she had tested all day yesterday. Just how far could she get before she had to come back?
One end of a stick teased her on the edge of the 'sleeping circle', and Koko crept forwards, snatching it between her teeth and running back with the prize situated in her mouth.
She ran bounded back in her sister's direction, the limb wobbling in her mouth and making clicking noises each time its opposite end hit the ground. She dropped this over her sister's back, proclaiming, quite loudly, "I got you a gift!"

Iyunge yawned widely and rolled onto her stomach, paws sprawled out in all directions as she enjoyed the last dregs of sleep. Though the sun was up, it was doubtful that her mother would be back yet, probably out with the rest of the group hunting. With no mother or father around to ask her questions to, there really was no reason to get up yet. Why not bask in the sun just a little bit longer?
She had just got more comfortable when a click-click sound caught her attention and she flicked one ear. Was somebody coming? Before she could lift her head and open her eyes, Koko had dropped something on her back and proclaimed it a gift.
"A gift? For me?" Iyunge repeated, turning her head to try and get a better look at this 'gift.' "Where did you get it?"
