~New Age Weapons Facility~

New Age Weapons Facility - The weapons facility represents a world made for war, where humans cannot escape their own cycle until the weapons themselves consume the ignorant masses using them.

An unnatural degree of control over this world is exerted by its creator, however there are blips of unwanted information that appear from time-to-time, giving a peek into the nihilistic existence of the boy who grew into the monster he is now...

Raiden, The Wicked One

"It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay..." The words repeated over and over, rhetoric forced into the mind of the being who now knelt on his knees at the bottom of the New Age Weapons Facility, eyes downcast and lifeless after everything that had happened. Had a month already went by? He couldn't tell, he hadn't left the Television World in nearly a month, only once and when he had, it had been under his orders..."NO! He's not him anymore, damn it!" The shouts drove even the Shadows lurking in the crevices of the world out for a second, terrified as the very foundation began to shake, a sign of the instability in the mind as a long, ear-rending wail tore the place apart for moments, the head snapping back and eyes widening emptily to match the soulless expression of hatred and guilt, before it finally calmed again at once, eyes narrowing soullessly again, head slumping forward. Blood red spatters underneath his eyes revealed the trauma that had been dealt to him physical in some innocuous amount of time while the Investigation Team was gone, long dried tears of blood that had seeped through the skin, that had healed with the immeasurable power of this world, and that had return again in an unending cycle of suffering, in a world where the mind was your deadliest enemy.

A pair of hands rose to his head, clutching moist blond hard that had been long stained black with an unrecognizable black, which suddenly began to ooze out again, seep down to the floor and slowly make it's way before him. The puddle began to grow in size, and a humanish form began to take shape again, piercing eyes looking down at the crumbling human form of the once Black Messenger, it's body not even finish forming yet. "Boo hoo hoo. I don't need any friends, all they do is stab me in the back. If I let others sway my emotions, then they'll screw me over again, and I can't handle pain like that because I'm a little b****. But in reality, even though I was always afraid of getting hurt again, I was just a big hypocrite who already had a bond with-" Another blood curdling roar escaped the hunched over form as he stood up, grabbing the dripping black blade at his side, covered in the same dulling liquid that drenched his matted hair. The sword slashed through the form mid-sentence, and it began to form to the side again the figure, more beast than man, turned and grabbed handfuls of the puddle, shoveling the liquid back into his mouth desperately. "Shut up, shut up! I'm always alone, my world exists because I am capable with my own soul! I didn't need him, I needed that person. He was my own weakness, he was...I relied on him. I relied on him, as my fr-...as my fra-ggh...!!" The man coughed, the black moisture he had forced in once more pouring out onto the ground, and he was on his knees again, just as he was before.

It wasn't important where the others were. In the New Ages Weapons Facility, this soul rested alone in the darkness, while the other schemed elsewhere to...no...were they scheming? The deteriorated mind shoved it aside, unable to reconcile such thoughts anymore. Over a month, he had survived inside of this manifestation of the abyss that had once been his mind, and time and again it had tried to consume him...look, again the blackness began to slowly creep across the floor, alive. For a month, his shadow had tried to consume him, and he had managed to stay alive. But the mental power to worry about others, it seemed, was gone...his own Wickedness had finally caught up with him, and he had his desired world in it's truest form. No consideration for others, no one else could enter...a world of solitude. 'He was your friend'. Another scream rattled the walls of the Television World, once again every Shadow was forced out of it's hiding, for another few moments the sounds were haunting enough to chill every soul. Then he slouched forward again, and the bubbling black ooze began to take shape. For some reason, the black form before him kept insinuating that there was something he couldn't accept, that some inner aspect of him was something he could not redeem. That he had been lying to himself all along.

"Boo hoo hoo. I don't need any friends..." The sticky substance that dampened his hair flowed, and the black and incomplete form in front of him began to shape again. He knew it was lying, and if Hetero were here he would scold him for not keeping himself in check, while controlling his own emotions. But why wasn't Hetero here? They were partners from the beginning, he wouldn't abandon his companion. Companion? Why should he care about Hetero, friends and comrades were unnecessary...another outlandish scream, and frenzied swinging of swords, as Raiden compelled his own taxed body to motion, cut down the fiend before him and consumed it's power once again. He wouldn't be swayed by emotion, he could at least suppress his own shadow. Pretty soon now...pretty soon, Hetero could come by, and suppress his body. Raiden would regain his composure, and the two would form a world of their own, built by the strongest. They were friends after all, and he could never die as long as he had his companion. The dripping black fluid began to roll behind him, escaping the downcast eyes of the man whose mind had fallen through all forms of deterioration. The puddle slowly grew into a muddled form, and raised it's arm for a downcast swing. But there was no way he would fall for such a trick, because he was Raiden...a tight grip formed around his katana, and it rose to strike against the brazen form...his parched lips consumed the familiar liquid, born of his own mind...but his hair dripped wet again, with yet another transition.

Raiden, The Wicked One

'What's wrong? It's midnight again. Together you're going to send him a message, aren't you?' So time had moved along again, against his will he thought...the golden eyes before him, attached to the same black figure which spoke even when he wanted nothing but silence, staring down at him once again. What was it the Shadow had said this time? Together. Yes, Hetero had told him they would...a black cry echoed throughout the world, walls bending and twisting for a moment as the mental instability of it's creator shown again. The figure before him continued to grow stronger, looking down at Raiden with a sinister sneer, a look that he wasn't even paying attention to. He had betrayed his own inner self, the Shadow he's sworn to all along, and now it wished to seek revenge for suppressing it for so long, and for ultimately refusing it's will even until the end, having chosen to work with Hetero as partners, with each other to rely on. The Shadow had already warned him once. There was no one to rely on.

"Hetero, it's time to...Hetero is dead." Raiden said, as if he had forgotten. He had forgotten. The whole time since he obtained these powers was a blur now, but his memory refused to come back, time and time again. Always, he could remember until a time shortly before two months ago, and then...a silver blur, and his head ached. He had caused him pain. "Hajime Maekawa is dead...Hetero is...Hetero..." Images of the battle that had taken place, with Hetero standing triumphant over fallen enemies. But then one had stood up again, even after his soul had been shaken...a silver haired figure refused to meet it's end, and called back to Hetero stern heartedly, before charging forward. A flash of red struck Raiden's mind, and he slammed his head into the ground, trying to numb the pain, and refuse the images, as if they were a lie, perpetrated to insult the name of the Black Messengers. Why was it Hetero hadn't called him back to the Data Dungeon World after that, scolded him for sullying their name by wasting time. He was sure that if Hetero still existed...if Hetero were alive...then Soji Seta would be the one bleeding, this time.
"Soji Seta murdered Hajime Maekawa."

That's when the words that he had been ignoring for so long began to come back to him, and Raiden looked up at the Shadow, empty eyes acknowledging the tower figure for once.

"I am the Shadow, the True Self.
I reject those around me, so that I won't be betrayed.
I am Wicked, so that others will know the cruelty of betrayal.
But all I want, is to have friends...

Who accept me for me."

Weary muscles forced their way off of the ground as a hand wrapped around the Shadow's neck with a claw like ferocity, the vice like hand clenching the neck as he forced the taller, enormous and powerful Shadow backwards, slamming it's body against the ground as he stood over top of it and glared down into the soulless golden eyes, which stared back at him with an unflinching emotionless expression. It wasn't a demon or an enemy, merely the cold unabashed self that he'd kept hidden away the whole time. Raiden looked into the figure, and raised his other hand with the sword he'd held for so long, holding the blade above the monster's throat. "I know already, damn it. I'm you, and you're me... but that chance is gone. You accept me, so that I can have what I truly want. Revenge is all I have left. I will drain the blood from him, and rip apart his soul...on my own." Raiden spoke through heavy breathing, his whole body weak and absent of it's physical power. But his soul was strong, and the two held each other's gazes locked for a minute, sound absent from the room except for heavy breathe...and then the black mass began to fade, the form disappearing to recollect on his body. What he had gained, and what he had lost...Raiden could no longer measure the things that had come and gone, only choose to continue on.

For tonight, Inaba would be hell.

Raiden, The Wicked One

"They're wasting time. Time is marching on, and we are without a purpose. Yoshizo, Agito...both should return immediately." Raiden muttered, complacent annoyance on his face. He was the blade, Hetero had been the mind, and now that there was a void he was incapable of filling the role even if he was trying to maintain it for the time being, but after this time of deliberation, their enemies growing stronger, he at last knew what step he intended to take next. He would fulfill the image he had obtained when he took back his sanity, and in his path there would be nothing visible remaining, neither human nor Shadow, which would remain unscathed by the fell destruction that his actions would wrought. He had once called himself the Wicked One; now he planned to rewrite the meaning of the word, and to bring a whole new definition to the term that had once been applied to him, and in the end there would be a humiliation in Inaba that ran so deep, that sunk so heavily into the blood of every one of the survivors in that decrepit town that they would be mark with a shame so severe that for generations to come they would weep in the world that Raiden made, and die with echoing sentiments of their regret for ever having hindered the Black Messengers. They had killed one of the heads of the two-faced beast, but in return they had invoked the ire of someone who was by far and away strong enough to return the favor. Now he just needed to move the followers into place, and so he waited for them to return, already having sent his summons, both seemingly late. "My will is the will of the God of Shadows. I have decided to make the first step, but first one who obeys me must arrive. Agito, here." Raiden stated demandingly, waiting for the appearance. Once he had, there would be a step towards the future, and the blackest night would spread, steeped in their never ending violence...

Agito Mibu
"Squalo"

I will Devour the world... ...and make it's Power my own

After a moment footsteps could be heard, they were light and seemingly rapid as if someone was either running or too short to have to much of a gap between strides. Then suddenly Agito emerged, as if from the shadows themselves, his eyes glowing fro only a moment as they focused down to the cuff that was still attached to his left wrist. "Sorry about the late response..I was a little occupied." Agito stated with a hint of a smirk starting to slowly make it's way onto his face. After fiddling with the cuff with his free hand for a few more seconds, he finally managed to remove it as he then tossed it to the side and held his wrist for a moment. "But I'm sure you already knew that.." Agito stated, knowing well that Raiden probably knew of his capture due to the fact that Raiden could probably find anyone he wanted, especially one of the black messengers, so tracking down a new black messenger who was in the same spot for months would not be difficult by any means. Agito was not at all mad about the fact that he wasn't rescued though. He just missed the sweet smell of that crimson ooze that ran through the body of most beings and not having that..was torture.

Raiden, The Wicked One

"I have a mission for you. But before I entrust you with anything, I want to make you stronger." Raiden turned to the side, but kept his glance at Agito over his shoulder, the entire room shaking violently from Agito's eyes as Raiden's own shadow called out to the one inside of Agito, a skill that only Raiden had mastered and which made him appear to blur into three identical people. People thought he was faster than he was, but in reality it was simply tampering with their own body. And of course, it was something he'd used to train every Black Messenger before him. "The training's simple; all you have to do is hit the real me. By gaining further control over your shadow through focus, you can command dominance over other Shadows. In short, if you can see the real me, then you can make other Shadows obey you. And in time, perhaps perform this trick as well." It was possible, even if no one since the Wicked One had mastered the art, but it would suffice if Agito could reach the level of mastery he required for now, and so the three identical Raiden's took their places, glancing at the cold blooded returnee, wasting no time letting him recover. "Now, try not to die." Raiden stated honestly, two disappearing in an instant and reappearing on either side of Agito, slicing downwards while the third sprinted towards him with it's blade at it's side, waiting for an opening from his own initial move.

I will Devour the world... ...and make it's Power my own

Agito was excited when he heard that was a mission for him but he was then saddened when he realized that he would have to actually 'work' for it. It was then that some form of earthquake occurred. Agito didn't really know what was going on but he saw Raiden split into three and a slight twitch of his finger occurred as he realized just what was going on. Upon hearing the instructions, Agito had a straight look of pure confusion as he didn't even have enough time to completely absorb the information given to him before having to quickly relocate the two Raidens who had vanished from their original place. Agito figured that since they were sword wielders then they would be looking to close the distance and, just as he figured, they were right next to him. It was still enough to make his stomach drop and his head almost go light as the sudden appearance of two sword-wielding techno samurai swinging super-swords was enough to startle anyone. Agito quickly make a juke backwards as the two blades came swinging down to the air where Agito was. Agito made sure to slap the closest arm of each of the two before backing up, this now obviously left him wide open from an assault of the much faster and stronger three Raidens but Agito was somewhat sure of what he was doing. "How the hell am I supposed to see which one is you? Do I need special glasses or something?" Agito was playing dumb while in reality was focusing as hard as he could on that dark fire that burned within him, his shadow had been lying dormant inside of Agito, sleeping, but now it was time for that lazy b*****d to wake up and grant Agito the power he deserved.

Raiden, The Wicked One

"Stop running away. Just like fear, they're not real. If you recognize that, then whether it's fear or Shadows, you can control it." Just as Agito expected, the lightening bolt of a man crossed the distance and in an instant, just before he entered Agito's range the third Raiden planted his sword in the ground and used it to pivot, throwing a kick that landed in his stomach faster than any slash would have come. "If you can't figure that much out, then I'll eat your Shadow myself. There isn't enough time left for games." The middle of the three pulled his sword back and in one fluid motion replaced his sword with his foot, using the turning to slash as a follow up at Agito's midsection, daring him to stay in place because of one hit. The other two Raiden's were much less practical; in an instant a shadow moved over Raiden's head, the only hint that one had jumped clear over the Master of the Messengers, bringing it's blade down with extra power from the wily leap, while the other went around to the left, and used another downward slash just like it's previous action. The odds might have seemed overwhelming, but that was precisely the point; Agito had to see that they were all, actually Shadows, and when he could, learn to command them to stop. If he did not, they'd rip him to shreds...while the real thing, secretively stood nearby, frowning in his near-eternal torment. Every day that they wasted was a day that the Black Messenger's vision slipped from his grasp.

Agito heard the man's words and began to laugh a little. "I fear nothing.." Even though Agito was laughing, he felt a little insulted on the inside as he allowed the three figures approach with great precision and Agito merely watch, watching, a** the kick hit him and sent him flying back as he used the momentum from the fall back to transfer into a series of back-flips, which allowed him to dodge the secondary assault of the Raiden trio but as they continued to approach Agito's grin turned into a fang-filled smile as the three Raiden closed in with their blades and began to slow , but they were still moving, almost as if time had slowed, this was either do to Agito's own will or that of his shadow, but he would never tell as he began to dodge every attack, each growing more slower than the first, Agito not feeling too good about leaving a fight without slaughtering his opponents as he dodged one, while quickly removing the blade from it's slow moving arm before Agito began to hack away at the limbs of the practically motionless shadows, until they were nothing but torsos before sniffing once and whipping around quickly to launch the blade, like a spinning disk towards the nearby Raiden.

Raiden, The Wicked One

Pale, soulless eyes watched as Agito tossed the blade, catching it without wasted effort, hands wrapping around it's grip. "Close, but you're not quite there yet. The point isn't to destroy the Shadows by just seeing through their movements." All at once another tremor shook the room, and before Agito could settle a half dozen new figures stood around him, all the same as the mere three he'd fought a moment ago. "The point is to control them, and your other self, and make sure they hear your voice very clearly." Raiden raised his hand and a Shadow came from the darkness nearby, stopping just before him as it listened to his command. A hand reached out, and touched it's mask, no hint of affection for the petty doll on his face. "Die for me." He commanded, and the Shadow, as if the words had been passed down from whatever source had first spawned their kind itself, reached it's own hands up to the mask...snapping it's life source into pieces. "Dominate them. I'm not nearly as sentimental as Hetero once was, but when he was in command, he would call it a bond between willpowers...or a the strength of a dominant 'soul'. You only need one word for it..." 'Strength' Raiden thought. Agito was full of blood lust, if the ability to control Shadows was strength, then that was all he needed. And Raiden would only allow weakness until then, for if Agito couldn't overcome the trial, as now MORE Shadows that looked like the Wicked One appeared, then he would be erased for the Messenger's purpose, just like the Shadow he'd made disappear a moment ago. All lashed out at Agito again, anticipating his answer...

As the wicked, emotionless, shadows emerged once again, with even large numbers, the strong eyes of Agito were still focused on the original Raiden and just as the the shadows all sprung forward, ready to end the black messenger, it was like his own power and his shadows power came together to form just one much larger power as his voice slithered from between his fang-filled smile. "Dominant soul, huh?" It was just then that the shadows seemed to stop but this time they actually did. Then Agito raised his hand slightly and each one slowly lowered their blades. "I like that word..dominant..It makes me feel..powerful." Agito said as he continued to use his new found abilities to control these shadows as he then raised his arms out as if he were a king looking down on his people. "My puppets, bow before your king" As the Raiden clones would all take an organized bow, Agito would then take a different, more evil command. "Now, kill yourselves" It was then that the clones would viciously stab themselves in the heart until they all faded into nothingness. " Eh, what's next" the boy said, now having a taste of the awesome power that he could achieve under Raiden and craving it all, just like most others.

Raiden, The Wicked One

"Simple." Raiden quipped, closing the distance in an instant. His hand shot out and grabbed Agito's chin, and in his other hand he held one of the smaller of the black, masked creatures, a grin on his face. "Now you just have to open wide." Raiden said, forcing the Shadow into Agito's mouth before he could argue. Just to emphasize that there was no escape, Raiden used that first moment in which Agito's mind was probably rejecting the first shadow in order to pull out his blade, letting free the Messenger's jaw, Raiden stepped around and snapkicked Agito's knee from behind, forcing him to kneel, before slamming his blade through Agito's hand and into the ground to pin him there. "Next." Raiden commanded, the Shadows slowly crawling towards him. The goal was simple; consume Shadows, literally, and add their power on to his own. The problem was that each had it's own mind, and when he devoured one after another like this, their own voices would become amplified, and exhaust him by trying to take over his body...the training was to put them down, then, and thus he would gain power and retain his sanity. Raiden stepped around Agito slowly, pulling his other katana from it's sheathe, letting the blade pierce Agito's knee on the opposite side to ensure he wasn't standing up again so easily. As for why he'd done that...he simply didn't want to see anyone cower and run away. While he probably could have just locked the door, there was a reason he was known as the Wicked One...and torture was his specialty. "When you've regained your senses, and some strength, you should be able to remove those swords. Not until you've eaten a number of Shadows, though." Raiden foretold, his blades having a..."special" charm about them. Most Black Messengers got to rest before this test, but with a crueler master in charge now, things were being done differently.

I will Devour the world... ...and make it's Power my own

Agito heard Raiden speaking but before he could even register what was said, he felt a firm grip lock down on his chin before something was stuffed into his mouth. He could only try to struggle before being knocked to the ground and a blade being thrown into his hand and pinning him to the ground while another was placed into his opposite knee. Agito's first instinct was to rip the blades through the rest of his hand, grab the katana and start destroying these shadows, but it seemed like these blades had a special power to them which was beyond Agito at the moment. It was att hat very moment that Agito felt his powers grow from the shadow that was stuffed into his mouth, but he didn't really notice it trying to take him over at the moment. At the realization that shadows make you stronger, Agito merely raised his free right hand in order to give one last defiant finger, just in case he didn't make it back, before widely opening his mouth and letting each and every shadow in the room enter. Agito wasn't really a 'unlock your inner power' type of guy, but devouring his prey and using their power as his own, was his specialty.

Agito would allow each and every shadow present who would approach enter, without even pausing in between to handle the lot that was now wrecking what little sanity he had left and once the last shadow crawled its way into his mouth, the area would be a great deal brighter but Agito's eyes went dull for a bit as his head dropped, his mind having been overwhelmed by the sudden rush of so many shadows in such little time. As Agito's body stayed in this paralyzed state, Agito's mind was in a state of panic as the shadows now surrounded it and went to take it over and all Agito's mind could do, in order to resist the masked creatures, was to somehow involve fighting.

Agito's mind was then thrown into a coliseum-like area as a horde of people cheered form their seats. Agito stood in the center and looked towards the doors as they slowly opened and shadows quickly slivered out of them. Agito merely just ran into the crowd as the shadows engulfed him. there was so many shadows that they completely shrouded the coliseum floor in darkness. They all began to wrap around Agito's sanity, each one battling for control. Under this massive blob of individual shadows, Agito made a deal with one shadow in particular. If it helped him put the rest of the shadows down then Agito would give the shadow full control, this way, the shadow would have a 100% chance of takeover instead of like a .0000000001%. The shadow agreed and helped Agito fully consume these worthless creatures.

Two minds working for the same cause were indeed better than thousands of minds were for their own individual causes as they were all absorbed, one by one, each individual mind fading but the power feeding Agito's body. This continued up until there was just Agito, the companion shadow and one more shadow which Agito grabbed by it's mask, now having grown more powerful, along with his shadow companion from all the other shadows. He then smashed it's mask with his bare hand and sucked it into his mouth like a noodle, symbolizing his sanity's full consumption of the intruders. Just as he consumed the last one, the allied shadow crept over, wanting his end of the deal but it was then that Agito merely slammed his hands on both sides of the shadow's mask, crushing it in a clapping fashion before sucking up the shadow and all the shadows it had absorbed while helping Agito. Agito did this in a completely nonchalant fashion as if betrayal was obvious, which is what for this situation, as he overcame the numerous shadows and his mind returned to his pinned down body.

Agito's eyes regained their prior glow as he used his free hand to remove both the blades form his hand and knee, but he needed to use one to stand up since his knee was now pretty much worthless due to it being stabbed through and pinned to the ground. "That was a very..interesting learning experience. You could have at least given me a fork though" Agito said, as he started to smile at his own bad joke.
