Well, I've never called myself a Star Wars fan. It was always one aspect of Star Wars that I liked and that slowly evolved from digging the Jedi, to loving the Sith to now being obsessed with the Mandalorians and nothing else. So, the rest of George Lucas' fictitious world was his to do as he pleased and I'd never complain. But, now he's changing the entire continuity of the Mandalorians because of the Clone Wars animated series. Karen Traviss, the author of the Republic Commando novels and the Imperial Commando novels, as well as the creator of Mando'a, is no longer writing the sequal to Imperial Commando because this continuity changes to all of the Mandalorians, minus the Death Watch, practically, being pacifists, refusing to fight and being all peaceable and all that osik. So, needless to say, all of her books are or will be soon, considered non-canon, despite the enormous fan base they have. And, now Manda'yaim, the planet itself is supposed to be an ashen nuclear waste for some reason and everything we've read about it from these amazing books is to be forgotten along with the characters.
Needless to say, myself and hundreds of Mandalorians and thousands of Fandalorians are less then pleased. In fact, this may have just ruined Star Wars for me. George Lucas had two strikes with me. First one was killing Jango in such a stupid way. No Mandalorian would wear durasteel when Beskar is so much better, especially when he had as much money as he did. Second one was when Games Workshop, the company that produces the table top strategy games Warhammer, Warhmmer 40,000, Inquisitor, Battlefleet Gothic and so much more wanted to make a Star Wars based game. Lucas wanted $500 million for the rights and so GW went with a Lord of the Rings game instead. And now this is his third strike. I'll still enjoy Mandalorian history as I see it but the only way I think I could ever enjoy the era of Star Wars we all grew up with is if I get my book published or something.
Anyways, that's just my rant. What do you all think about this case of sheere stupidity?

Well I for one will be pissed off if Karen Travis stops writing and her language is no longer canonized. I've spent most of my limited internet time posting the language based on an index in one of her books. (Plus she's a really good author and I enjoy reading her books.)

Sergeant Grik, your getting your information from Republic Commando: Triple Zero, and I've already told you that your dictionary is useless, if you want a 1000+ word Mando'a dictionary thing, go to Karen Traviss' homepage.
Also, if George Lucas is going to do this to Mandalorians I say we start a riot, or burn his house down OR SOMETHING! My god, why can't he leave the epitome of the Star Wars Universe alone? George shouldn't even get credit for Star Wars, he directed 2 movies, but produced them all, SO WHAT? Who gives a ********? George is the single most useless icon in the world. The only reason he gets so much credit is because of that stupid Lucas Arts icon that flashes in front of the screen before the movies. Damn, that makes me mad.
AND, that stupid animated series of George's is meant for 6 year olds that can't even surf the internet. Why should he worry that they are going to find out that his piece of s**t animated series is going to be wrong about one thing? I mean this is changing one MASSIVE piece of Star Wars history, in order to satisfy 10 little kids.
GOD DAMN that makes me mad

When did you say my dictionary was useless? And if you have the entire language at your fingertips then maybe you should post it under the language.

The multi-thousand word list from Kar'buir's is great, but needs improving, for those of us who aren't fluent in Mando'a just yet. It has the word list in alphabetical order, in Mando'a, so I'm working on reorganizing the list so that you get the words in Basic first, and then put in alphabetical order.
And you wont have to worry about the language becoming no-canon. Just the warrior mentality of the Mandalorians between the start and finish of the Clone Wars. And you'll have to say good bye to Omega Squad, the Nulls, Kal Skirata, Walon Vau, Rav Bralor, Parja, and all of the loveable characters surrounding Kar'buir's books.

@Rym- I would, but I doubt he'll be a good sport and realize what he's doing. Seriously, he never should have been in charge of Star Wars. It should have been Spielberg that stayed and Lucas that left. Stupid old man.
@Fi'rin- No, he moves around too much. We're cutting off his assets and closing in on him, though. >_>
@Rock- Unless he comes out of nowhere and decides that he does, in fact, have some sense left within his skull, yes, this will happen and the Clone Wars era, my favorite era, will become stupid.

Makes my stomach feel a little more than queasy right now...
It's such a wonderful addition and the depth is what really draws you in.
I really don't need another reason for my friends who actually like Star Wars to rag on me and my interest in the Mando way.
