I would like to work the costumes specifically for "A Very Potter Musical" production. Do you allow for specialization to one area in this guild, or is a seamstress simply a seamstress that will be used for anything they are needed for?
Idealistically, I'd like to post a thread here giving descriptions and prices of the sets I've come up with. I already run a store for the average gaian who wishes to cosplay a hogwarts student or a specific character. I would plan to run my thread like a branch of the store I have where the actors/actresses will buy their costumes as needed. In this way, the cast would pay for their costumes.
If the managers of the production would rather fund raise on their own then buy the sets for the cast, I could easily work out a way that they could do bulk orders and distribute the costumes as needed.
My only issue is that my computer can not tektek. The way I compensate for this is I chose non gender specific items for my male sets so that I can model whatever you are interested in on my own avitar.
If there is anything you would like to discus with me, please send me a pm with any questions or comments.

Your offer intrigues me. We won't have our cast pay for their own costumes, that would fall under my responsibility, as our cast are volunteering, so it'd be messed up to have them pay a fee to participate.
If you were to design for us, your job would be to come up with a costume for every character we have. That is, I would give you a cast list, and you would do the costumes for everyone on that list.
If we can, I'd like to try it with just one costume first, and then if it works out, perhaps we can make a deal for the entire cast?
After I'm done editing the script, and we've worked out all of the character details, I can PM you the list, you can choose a character to work on, and then we go from there.
Does that sound good?

Hello. I'd be very happy to help with the costumes. I have a Snape account that's probably the best dressed one on the site. Warning: I'm not good at house uniforms... but I'm very good at finding outfits for specific characters (teachers especially.)

Evelyn, it'd be a huge help if you let us barrow your Snape mule. That in itself would save me a lot of trouble. I'll make sure nothing happens to it.

Hm? But the cast list hasn't been handed out yet. Though, I can understand if you only want to let us use it if you're going to play Snape.

No, I already auditioned and Interstellar Ingenue said I could play Snape.

That sounds fantastic to me. I already have a rough draft version for nearly every character and some finnished outfits for most of the main characters. However, the biggest limitation will be your budget. Most of the character's costumes cost around 7,000 but some more intricate costumes cost more accordingly. I don't think I have anything over 60,000 at the moment.

Maybe B U R N could rent the costumes for the few days that the production will be taking place?

I could understand maybe requesting a certian sum from the potential actors and actresses, but I can also understand not wanting to demand anything if they're volunteering.
I think it depends on how many people you have auditioning for the roles. If you have a huge amount of auditions and you needed to narrow it down a little, you could ask for a small sum from the people to possibly narrow the fields a little.

That's a good idea, but those who audition shouldn't have to pay anything unless they actually get the role.

I don't think I can afford to rent out that many costumes. I need to sell costumes to make other costumes, if that makes any sense. Please let me know if that was confusing to understand.

I'm not sure we're on the same page. I was offering to buy the costumes myself.
I didn't say there was going to be a problem buying them. But I think we've already got people on the costume committee anyway.
Anyway, what will probably happen, if we decide to use your service, is we'll have our costume committee to come up with the costume design, then I'll buy it from either you, or the marketplace.
We'll see. We're still working on a number of other things.
