Lirona shivered good-naturedly as she strolled through the park, smiling at the sparkling snow. Winter was definitely one of her favorite times of year, especially leading up to Christmas. Everything was all white and green and gold and red, and everyone at least tried to act nice to one another. It was an exciting time of year, and paired with the stark beauty of the snow, it was simply exhilarating.
Sitting on a bench and blowing softly on her hands, Lirona smiled at a group of kids playing in the snow just a few feet away. They certainly seemed to be having a ball of a time, tossing the snow at each other and building it up as high as they could and shrieking with delight in general. Lira herself had never really been one for playing in the snow; it was too pretty to look at for her to bear trampling around in it. She also didn't enjoy being wet. Taking in a deep breath of the sharp cold air, she leaned back and looked at the crystal blue sky. God, it was a pretty day today...

Kaleb was not especially pleased to be going to the park for the first time. It was cold, and there were too many people. As Vincent often commented, it was strange for a child of lust to be as shy as he was. He was uncomfortably bundled in a blue puffy coat, mittens, and boots. "'Cent, I no can move," he complained, looking up at his older brother. He was proving his observation wrong by walking with Vincent towards the bench.
"Yes you can," Vincent replied, looking down at the toddler. He grinned, he was still getting used to being the older brother. "You're just not used to it." He thought he saw someone he recognized, but he couldn't be sure. "Come on," he said, tugging Kaleb along behind him. "I'll introduce you to someone."
Kaleb tried to escape. He tried to stop walking so Vinny had to drag him. Too late, they were already there. "Hi Lironax," Vincent greeted with a smile. "Er, Aludra called you Lirona," he said awkwardly. Lironax definately looked more like a Lirona now. "Well, I don't remember if we've actually met--I've seen you around. I'm Vincent. This is my little brother, Kaleb." He looked around, Kaleb had let go of Vincent's hand.
"Kaleb?" Vinny prompted, looking around.
"I not here!" Kaleb was hiding carefully behind his older brother. Unfortunately for him, his wings stuck out.

Lirona's gazing at the sky was interrupted by the semi-familiar voice, and she turned to look with mild surprise at a boy she knew well and behind him, a cutie she'd never seen before. Startled as she was, it took her a few seconds to sputter out a reply. "Oh! Uh, h-hi Vincent! Wow, this is a suprise!" she said with an awkward laugh. Oh, she knew Vincent, alright. Vincent had been going out with Aludra not too long ago. However, seeing as they didn't really seem to be together anymore and no one seemed hurt because of it, she tried to keep her grudge to a minimum.
When the other boy was introduced, Lirona looked around Vincent with a small smile, her tentacle waving and reaching out to him. She giggled at his insistence that he wasn't there. "Oh, really? Okay, nevermind then. But, if someone is back there, I'm Lirona, and it would be nice to meet that person." She smiled at Vincent, happy to play along with the boy's game.

Vincent gave her his most charming smile. "A pleasant one, I hope," he said. "How have you been?" He was genuinely oblivious to anything that could have prevented them from being friends. He was oblivious to most things, really.
Kaleb was convinced to come out from behind Vincent when he saw Lirona's tentacle. "Hi snake!" he greeted happily, grabbing onto it with both hands. "Hi snake," he repeated, before glancing up at Lirona. He realized the 'snake' was attached to her and frowned. "I Kaleb," he said, much less cheerfully than he had greeted her tentacle. "His name Jake," he told her, gesturing to it. "He says so."

Lirona laughed a little awkwardly, trying to let her previous resentments of Vincent go. "Oh, I've been fine. Nothing much really happening, which is honestly a bit of a good thing." She laughed again. "What about you?"
However, before Vincent had a chance to answer, Lira's attention was directed to the cute kid behind the Greed spawn, giggling when her tentacle was called a snake. It was certainly happy to get clung to by the boy, and wriggled happily in his hands before wrapping around them and pulling him closer. Lirona raised her eyebrows good-naturedly at Kaleb's comment, and played along. "Oh, really? Well, thanks for telling me that, Kaleb. He's needed a name for a long time, huh, Jake?"
The newly-dubbed Jake squeezed Kaleb's hands in agreement, already very taken with the new spawn. He didn't get much attention, it seemed, or Lira usually tried to stop him, so this was a very pleasant change.

"Same here, actually," Vincent replied, watching his brother and Jake with a smile. "Been hanging out with friends a lot lately. Maybe you, Aludra and me can hang out sometime? At the mall or arcade something--I know you guys are friends." Beyond friends, Vinny had no idea. "Though, I haven't seen Ludra for a while..." A look of concern crossed his face, and he silently wondered if his friend had gotten ill. "Really, the most exciting thing that's happened lately is him," he gestured to Kaleb with a clawed hand.
Kaleb gave Lirona a smile, feeling much braver after having met Jake. "Nice snake," he said, looking up at her. He was quite content to be pulled closer to his new friend, and hugged Jake. He leaned down to whisper, "I luv you Jake."
