Ohio is a Midwestern state of the United States. The thirty-fourth largest state by area in the U.S., it is the seventh-most populous with nearly 11.5 million residents. The capital of Ohio is Columbus. Ohio, whose name was derived from the Seneca word ohi:yo’, meaning "large creek,"was formed primarily from the Ohio Territory and was admitted to the Union as the seventeenth state (and the first under the Northwest Ordinance) on March 1, 1803. Ohio is known as the "Buckeye State" for its prevalence of Ohio Buckeye trees, and, as such, Ohioans are also known as "Buckeyes."

Amber walked through the town after closing time, a skip in her step as she walked down the dimly lit street. She was out later tonight then usual but one of her regulars had been in the hospital and she had visited with him all day, leaving all the clean up and prep for the next day to sit. She had known that there were things to be done, and since there was no one else to do it, she came in and stayed late. She hummed as the wind twirled her skirt around her legs.
