Arigato Gozaimasu - Thak You very much
Sumimasen - Excuse me
Itadakimasu - thank you for the food (said before eating)
Gochisosama (deshita) -thank you for the food (said after eating)
Sayonara - Good bye
Explain:
Ohayo gozaimasu - is an expression used in the first hours in the morning, because the word comes from the word "hayai" that means "early"
Gozaimasu - Is the old form of the verb "to be" and the word means "you are"
Ohayo gozaimasu - means then "you are early" and its an expression for greeting used for "good morning"
Note: Between friends you use only " Ohayo"
Ohayo gozaimasu is used only to higher ranked persons "ex: teachers etc."
