Gazing down below at the hustle and bustle of busy shoppers, Nealite sighed.
Perched atop the roof of Destiny City's most popular mall, the Negaverse Captain strummed her fingers against her purple boots as she contemplated the upcoming holiday. Day after day, she found herself drawn to the mall... but for what? There were finally people she could actually buy things for this Christmas, but she hadn't the faintest idea of where to begin looking for presents. What did a gal give to the Leader of the Negaverse? What did she give to a seventeen year old boy with angst issues? It was going to take a helluva lot of Christmas magic to get the ideas she'd need in time for some last minute shopping. ******** magic.
Sighing, she shook her head and trained her focus on one of the departing shoppers, whose hands were filled with bags galore.
Lucky b***h.

The scene of busy shoppers gave Valleriite a damn headache.
Unlike Nealite, she was actually a part of the crowd-- unwillingly of course. She had come to the mall for a few purchases (more like shoplifting a few clothes here, and a few accessories there but it wasn't as if anyone would know the difference, pft) but she hadn't expected such a mob of people there. "Well, damn." She muttered to herself, twisting her face into a expression of utter annoyance as her gaze seemed to focus onto nowhere. She couldn't get anything done-- not with this crowd.
It wasn't as if she hated crowds in particular. She especially enjoyed the company of others, yes. She simply didn't enjoy it when they were busy being ******** retards. That was what they were. The crowds, the rushing, the arguing, the pushing, the noise-- everything about it. People called it the Christmas season but frankly, it was more like survival of the fittest, shopping wise of course.
And clearly, she was not going to have a part of this. She wasn't about to spend her day battling shoppers-- Hell, she had enough with senshi!
Picking up her bag, she swung it over her shoulder while gathering up her things. There was no point in staying when she had nothing to buy- not even a gift. With a disappointed sigh, she directed a gaze towards the sky. "What time is it n-" Her voice trailing off, surprised the sight before her.
A glimpse of orange on the roof? Wait, wasn't the roof blue? She distinctly remembered it as blue. Orange ******** blue, whatever it was.. It did not make a good color combination. Little did she know that it was her captain.

Nealite hadn't noticed that she'd been spotted, which was all the same - what would anyone do, anyhow, except point and stare at a strange woman standing atop a building?
Her eyes narrowed, the scene before her finally growing to the point of being fed up. Enough was enough, and staring at others finishing their shopping wasn't going to get hers done, after all.
Rising from her crouch, she turned and hopped off of the opposite side of the building, dropping down to the awning of the loading dock. It had been weeks since she'd disabled the cameras in the area, but security seemed far too focused dealing with holiday shoplifters and line crashers than fix the cameras in the workers area. Her luck, their misfortune.
Taking another jump, she landed with a soft thud onto the loading area, standing between two trailers locked and attached to the back of the building. No doubt filled with clothing galore, but even that happy thought didn't perk up Nealite's, no, Ursula's mood.
The older woman huffed and pulled the ends of her jacket together, high heels clicking as she made her way around the building, mentally preparing herself for the onslaught of Christmas shoppers she would have to sift through to find anything worth purchasing.
Not that she knew what she was looking for to begin with.
Hmph.

It was probably a stray balloon that some pitiful kid had cast away by accident, Val reasoned as she dismissed the thought with a shrug. An every-day incident.
Honestly, she didn't know why she had even bothered. No doubt, it was due to her boredom. There was nothing of interest here. Not the crowd, not the shopping, not even the clothes. Things she normally adored, lost it's appeal in the frenzy of crazy Christmas shoppers.
Flipping out her cell-phone, she debated on calling someone, if only to entertain herself with their voices— But who was she kidding? She had no one to call. Besides her negaverse comrades, she knew no one else. Which was, admittedly, pretty pathetic. With a irritated glance towards her phone, she jerked the device closed with loud slam. It only served to re-confirm the fact that there was nothing to do. With a sigh, she made her way towards the exit. She'd find something better to do— If not, she could go home and get some sleep. A somewhat appealing idea.
Placing a hand on the handle of the door, she jerked it open (with a little more force then intended) only to encounter another girl standing directly in front of her perfectly poised to open the door.
Surprise, surprise.

As the door swung open, orange eyes lit up as she recognized a familiar face standing before her.
...and then her expression immediately fell, as she actually recognized the familiar face, and who it belonged to.
"Val."
The name was said more as a statement, than an explanation or inquiry. Ursula had met the young lieutenant only briefly before, neither woman having the opportunity to investigate the other very thoroughly. The only information that Nealite had on the new girl was through the side comments of Tanzanite. Even those had been short, barely helpful.
Moving to the side to allow for others to pass by, she gave the girl a half-interested look. "Christmas shopping, I assume?"

"Nealite." One simple word, but the tone conveyed her emotions oh-so clearly. Obviously the feelings were quite mutual between the two.
Head tilted, she eyed the girl before her. She didn't know much of her 'captain' despite their brief encounters before. She only knew of Tanz's obvious affection for the girl, but that didn't give her much to go on. In her book, Nealite was practically a stranger. In fact, this might as well have been their first encounter.
Gently closing the door behind her, she took a position on the wall nearby.
"As a matter of fact, no." She said, gesturing to her empty hands. But she would assume that Nealite was, judging by her appearance at the mall. Yet, why Nealite would even attempt the mall was a puzzle to her. Christmas shopping was practically a war between shoppers.
"However, if you are, I hope you brought some protective gear with you. I would want you to damage your pretty face." She warned with a sweet smile. And she sincerely meant it- sort of. She didn't care for the girl herself, but her looks were an entirely different story.

Her jaw dropped, and the look Ursula gave the younger woman spoke of death. Fast, merciless death.
"It's Ursula, darling," She quickly corrected through gritted teeth, the smile on her face strained. Jesus, was there seriously no training going on for these Lieutenants, to the point that they would actually address one another by their Negaverse names in public as civilians? It would have been one thing to call her Nea, but to flat out announce such a bizarre name as Nealite? That was only ASKING for trouble!
A huff and a hair toss later, after making sure that no wandering eyes or ears had picked up on the slip-up, Ursula was once again staring down the girl. Conversations were far from awkward for the social butterfly, and in no time at all, her mouth began moving and she was talking to the solemn looking gal as if they'd been friends for years. After all, they had been talking about shopping, of all things!
"Of course I know what I'm doing, darling. I wouldn't have dared risk myself going out and about if I hadn't been aware of how utterly lethal Christmas shopping could be."
One hand waved nonchalantly in the direction of the stampede of shoppers still flowing in and out of the doors. "But you, dear, you say you're not holiday shopping? What on earth are you doing here, then?"

Indifferent to the woman's glare, she dismissed the matter with a simple shrug. Nea, she felt, was worse then Nealite. Everyone would have mistaken her for Sailor Nea then. The way she saw it, at least Nealite was known only among the senshi.
"Ursula then." She corrected for the girl's benefit, amused by the woman's reactions. As she continued to lean against the wall, she didn't bother to check the reactions of others as Nea had. If anyone had heard, it would be simple to kill them off. Problem solved.
Varete was quick to change the topic of discussion but Ursula was quicker. "I'm only here for the sales, Ursula. I don't do holiday shopping. Too much trouble." She said, as she gestured to the stampede of shoppers nearby. She disliked the holidays enough as is, without the hellish shoppers added to it.
"By the way, call me Varete." She advised the other girl. If Nea was going to go by her civilian name, she might as well do it too.

"Varete," she said with a nod, tucking the information away in the back of her mind. There was no Negaverse meet-and-greet, so finding out information on new members was a trying task, but a task Ursula was determined to keep on top of. It would not do for her, of all people, to be left out of the loop on anything.
She hated being out of the loop.
"And sales? In this mall? God, good luck with that one. It's all a holiday trap, unless you know where to look."
Orange eyes never left the other girl's face, but a smile curved up from the scowl. "Mostly because stores take advantage of last minute shoppers and keep prices up, if anything. Until after the holiday ends, at least. Good marketing scheme. Money for them, overpriced items for us."
Shifting her weight from one leg to the other, her left hand rose to gently scratch away an itch on her neck, "Tell me darling, did you just start? I can certainly help you with the makeup part of your shopping; god forbid you invest in any more green face paint. It ruins that other outfit of yours, you know."

Still positioned against the opposite wall from Nealite, it gave Varete the perfect chance to study her captain in detail. And she certainly had to admit her superior was certainly a beauty. But as they said, beauty wasn't everything. Nealite's personality left much to be desired, like tact. Like now, for instance, "You, help?" Varete scoffed, as she tossed the other girl an amused grin. One hand flew to her mouth, attempting to smother her laughter.
Nealite, offering to help her? That was joke! ..right? To her dismay, she soon realized that Nealite was serious. Her laughter soon faded into a nervous smile, as she attempted to persuade her captain that her make-up was fine, as it is. "No t-thanks." She said, holding up a hand, in a stopping gesture. She might have made a run for it, but Nealite was her captain , and superior. It wasn't worth the risk.
Instead, she tried to edge away, as if she needed to go. "It's okay, really." She said, with a sweet smile. "I'm sure you're busy.."
Little did she know that she had been caught in the queen's clutches, with no hope for escape.
