I don't know if anyone else has this problem in their unit but in my unit we have a few E-5's that think they are the s**t just because they got their stripes. Saturday we were doing breifings at the Armory and I was in line to get my CAC card back and this other E-5 asked me nicely to take the trash out with another soldier. Then this dumbass jumps in because I hadn't moved yet and said in a really condescending tone "Do I need to translate for you?' I didn't even have my CAC returned to me yet. I'm sure as hell not leaving the room until I have it! I really wanted to deck the jerk, but it's not worth the trouble I'd be in for hitting him. Anyone else have this problem with E-5's thinking they are better than you because they have stripes or they just act really smug?

honestly happens all teh time you did th eright thing by knowing it wasn't worth the trouble and you really shouldn't stoop to there level and deck them anyway.

The ones that should never be in positions of power, end up exactly there. And thus the cycle continues... xp

its a brand new 2nd Lt. since their insignia is a single gold bar, hence the name butter bar, and the name of the rank itself is how you get louy
