Ever since Shani had grown into her larger paws she had wandered farther and farther away from her parents. Like she quite-well didn't understand the danger out there for a half grown cub. Her mother warned her and scolded her time after time for wandering off- but she never listened. Piff what did her mother know anyway? She'd been out on HUNDREDS of adventures and not ONCE had she been harmed or even threatened. Frankly everyone was quite nice to her.
But this time she might have wandered too far from home. She was starting to not notice landmarks she had came to know. And the sky was beginning to grow dark. She wasn't afraid but more hesitant on what her next call of action was. The bigger lions and predatory animals normally came out at night; and though she was still brave, she wasn't stupid.
So going forward she climbed up on top of one of the branched that was near her. Far as she knew no other animal could climb trees.
'I'll just stay here for the night then go find mom and dad tomorrow when the sun comes back...'
She nestled her head into her paws and tried to convince herself to go to sleep.
