So Now That You're Here... B O O O O What are we going to perform? This is all up to you guys. What would you like our first performance ever to be? Please take a few minutes to really think about this. Remember, we're nothing without the play.
If you don't know what exactly you want us to perform, then go ahead and tell us what kind of genre you want to see.
- Drama. - Comedy. - Musical. - Action. - Romance. - Satire.
[12/14/09]I've taken the time to look around, and have compiled a list of scripts that are available over the internet. This does not mean that we will be performing them, just that they're out there for consideration. Edit These are just a few. I had to go eat mid-way through updating. RENT! - Broadway The Phantom of the Opera. - Movie The Phantom of the Opera. - Broadway Wicked. - Broadway Les Miserables. - Broadway Beauty And the Beast. - Broadway Cinderella. - Broadway Dracula. - Stage Dracula. - Steven Dietz. Famous for the "I want your fear" monologue.
Mmm, here's a whole list of great stuff here.
Check out A Very Potter Musical.

Hum, Can we not perform a story with having like 2-3 genre's at the same time? But if I would choose one...I think I would go for romance/drama.. Since it's Christmas season a little bit of 'love is in the air' would be nice i think.

Nope, it really doesn't matter. I was just seeing which genre ran as most popular.

{ Why not we take the 3 most popular genre, and later on decide if we can incorporate all into one script? If they are contradictory, maybe it can give twists to the story. <3 }

I like Candice's idea! =D Twists in stories are always fascinating.

Well, any musicals would be out unless we used voice chat in zOMG. Unless somebody knows if they added that feature in towns?
I like the idea of using one of the unproduced scripts on that site Mademoiselle provided. I volunteer to go through and read some of them. What kind of audience do we intend to produce a show for? Teenagers? Do we want something thought-provoking or imaginative or what?

Irako of the Desert Well, any musicals would be out unless we used voice chat in zOMG. Unless somebody knows if they added that feature in towns? Not necessarily. I attended a showing of Avenue Q in Towns once, and they did absolutely everything using avatars and the chat feature. Quote: I like the idea of using one of the unproduced scripts on that site Mademoiselle provided. I volunteer to go through and read some of them. That would be fantastic, and much appreciated! Quote: What kind of audience do we intend to produce a show for? Teenagers? Do we want something thought-provoking or imaginative or what? As awesome as it is that you're considering this, I really don't think we need to worry about target audience. Most people, if they're going to come, are probably already associated in some way with the theatre. Thus, were we going to go after a 'target audience', I would say pick a well known show. Something like Phantom, or Wicked. As far as age range goes, I hardly think that will make up for anything. It is rather difficult to target shows at specific age audiences, because most shows are already pretty dimensional.

I am up for anything! I think a comedy is the best way to introduce our theatrical troupe, but that's just my opinion. It may be a good way to get a feel for our audience.

ahahaha I love A Very Potter Musical. xD
Anyway, I would love to write a show if you wanted me to. It would take a little while and I would need plot/genre suggestions. Maybe I could take the most popular genres and work to create a show. It's just a suggestion though. >.<

It would be absolutely fantastic if you could write us a show! That would really be something incredible to have our first show specially written for us.
