It all depends on how you define "depression." Technically, it's an imbalance of certain chemicals in the brain. Of course, it's often used to describe just about anything, from hormonal weirdnesses to laziness to lethargy after a traumatic event!
Frankly, I think your problem is likely to be something hormonal. Just breaking into tears without provocation is certainly indicative of hormones gone haywire. Are you near your menstrual date? Even if you've never reacted this way, if you are young it's quite possible for a "freak" period during which your symptoms will be different than they generally are.
Is there a possibility you might be pregnant? Or, if you are between 35-60, it could be the begining of menopause.
Depression is not so much crying as it is severe lethargy and lack of energy. Just an inability to get up in the mornings or do anything. So no, I don't think you are depressed.

See a doctor and/or professional help, like a therapist or a counsellor. We're not medical professionals, so we can't diagnose you with anything, including depression.

Teenagers go through stages when they're upset for no reason. If this is the case it will pass. If not and something is making you depressed then you need to talk to someone about it before you get worse.
