The moon seemed to be stalking her. He glared straight at it. It was full. She pressed her hooves hard into the ground, a small rock under her front on cracked and echoes in the night air. She took in a breath of cool air, it pierced her throat as it came in. She felt alive.
Selena looked up at the stars in the clear, midnight blue sky. It was the dead of night. Perfect time of day to go somewhere without being bothered. She smiled to herself and snorted. It felt so good to be out in the depths of the forest, heading into the unknown, looking for adventure. It had been so long since she had ventured out just for the sake of leaving. She had missed the feeling so dearly. the feeling of independence, of strength, of courage swelled up inside her. The last time she had had a decent adventure was with Laures, her good friend. Back then, they had found a cave in the mountains. She smiled at the memory, it was one of the best that she had from the soquili lands. And she was not one to have many fond memories that brought a smile to her face. Maybe this time around she would also meet a companion? One willing to risk the dangers and thrills a true adventure held? She doubted it whole heartedly. But fate was holding a turn of events for this mare.
She turned, facing away from the horrid moon staring down at her. Time to begin.

 Adela was walking along through the trees, walking through the shafts of moonlight that shone through the bare branches. Looking at her feet as she makes her way through the trees, glancing round occasionally to make sure that there wasn't anything unfriendly in the darkness, she had been taught to be cautious after all.
She had wandered and explored nearly all of the immediate area, and much of that which lay a little further away, she looks round again and sighs, wondering on if she can find someone to go exploring with, or even better on an adventure. She stops for a moment to stretch and have a shake, that feeling good in the cold weather, it giving her a chill along her furr that made her more alert. Starting along her way again, wandering through the trees, watching where she is going now as she can see a shadowy shape by some treetrunks. Semi heading towards it, curious of what or who it was but also cautious in case it was something that would want to eat her.
As she draws close to the shadowy figure it becomes more recogniseable, though as it was a dark colourd soquili it blended in well. Finally when she was close enough she recognises Sel, a soquili she had met before and liked well enough, though she thought her odd sometimes but that didn't matter, everyone was odd occasionally. Starting to make a little more noise as she walked up closer, making sure she approached from infront of Sel and passed through some moonlight on the way. Smiling as she draws level with the other mare and stops. "Heya Sel, how are you doing this lovely evening?"

Sel had stopped when she had heard another approaching. She did not turn around to see whether it was friend or foe, instead she tensed and prepared herself for a scuffle. She was not in the mood for any sparing, or even a fight, so she had planned to simply divert the other's attention for a moment and then bolt. Only ton continue her adventure later on.
But when she heard the familiar voice, she calmed her stiff mind and turned to look into Addy's face. "Long time no see kid." She smiled and winked, teasing her. "I think your a bit late for bed-time." she laughed.

Addy pokes her tongue out at Sel. "I'm not a kid anymore granny... Besides I never really had a bedtime." Grinning, liking Sel and her odd sense of humour. Looking round the area they were in. "So what were you planning on doing at night in the dark cold forest?" Tilting her head and looking back at Sel, eyes wide and expression curious. The look was oddly cute and was clearly fake and ment as a joke.

Selena laughed, Addy was one of the only creatures she knew that she had easily warmed up to. He mocking humor and independent stride was enough to make Sel like her. "Dont let the silver hair fool you, i am still young. And full of vigor."
She jumped up and kicked her back legs as proof. Then smiled brightly at the younger mare. "Planning to do you ask?" She chuckled in response to Addy's question, "Well you see there is this one stallion..." She took a slow step towards her, head down, eyes peering at her through her mane and hat. An evil glint to them. "And i have secretly been assigned...." another step, much closer to her now. "To..." last step, and she looked Addy straight in the eye and whispered, "Kill him."
She licked her lips and snorted, throwing her head up and letting out a menacing laughter.

> Addy blinks a moment, slightly surprised at this comment then she sidles up to Sel's side and leans in all sneaky and whispered. "Would you like some assistance with your..." Looking around as though to make sure they were alone. "Project?" Smiling sneakily always liking this j=kind of silly game, though with sel it was more who would get unnerved first.
> Sel raised her head, but her eyes still on Addy, as if judging her. Then after a moment, an evil smile curled up onto her face and she whispered into Addy's ear. "Please do. I need someone to muffle the screams." And with that she bounded off towards the deeper wood, near the rise of the mountains. "Come on kid, lets see you use those legs."
> Addy shakes her head and chases after Sel, light and quick on her feet, thanks to being around Ab and several Cerynei. Following at an easy canter, not wanting to charge off until she knew where she was going.
> Selena ran through the forest, dodging trees, jumping fallen logs, swerving around boulders. It was only a sped up canter, but the feeling was the same. She loved to run, to jump, to feel the forced wind on her face and body. Her muscles rippled gracefully and strongly as she used her legs and her silver white mane flew with the wind. "Ever been to the forest on the mountains Addy?"
> Addy catches up and falls into pace with her, swerving in the opposite directions so they could keep running. Grinning as she loved to run too. "No, I've not been there yet, is it nice?"
> Selena smiled, the wind blowing into her mouth. She was very pleased to see her new companion enjoyed running just as she did. "Its a beautiful and mysterious place. Can be dangerous as well if you dont know how to defend yourself." She looked to Addy. "However im sure you know how to kick and run. You should be fine." She snickered and sped up.
> Addy smiles as she runs along with Sel, she had some knowledge of fighting but had never had to put it to use, a fact she was rather glad of if she was honest. Grinning as she runs. "I know a little about fighting and protecting myself, but Ab tells me the best protection is avoidance."
> Selena laughed, "If you avoid anything mildly dangerous you will never learn, explore, or experience! Once in a while you need to take a risk!"

>Addy looks at Sel and nods looking a little embarrassed. "I understand what your saying, but I guess I was kept a little more sheltered than I thought. I've not really found anything to properly explore, but I'd like to... Though going alone seems a little scary."
>Sel snickered, "Well there is no time like the present to learn something new." She looked at addy with a bit of evil humor and then began to speed up towards their goal.
>Addy frowns a little, not liking being snickered at, speeding up to keep up with Sel. Glancing round as she keeps running, the trees speeding past.>
>As they ran together, Selena in the lead, the land began to rise. They were reaching the mountains, and the woods on the
>mountains. Sel lowered her head and jumped over the last log, seeing her destination she skid to a sideways stop. Which kicked up a dust of loose earth into the air. "Here we are Addy." Before them stood a great forest filled with giant trees. They were as old as the lands themselves, and inside was filled with danger, but also excitement. "After you." She smiled and bowed her head to her companion.
>Addy skids to a stop, not expecting the run to be over, ending up on her rump, looking up at the big, dark, scairy trees, then at Sel. "We are going in there?" A slight quiver in her voice as she gets to her feet. Looking at Sel again then back at the trees, gulping and starting into the dark at a timid pace, looking around wairily.>
>Hearing and seeing Addy fall onto her rump made Sel have to suppress her laugh with a snort. She didnt want to tease her too much about it. "Yes we are. I have an interesting place i want to visit in there." She looked to Addy then back to the woods. At a second glace they were quite menacing, she started to understand Addy's fear. "Dont worry," He vioce became kind, "Nothing can harm you in there while im with you." She looked at her companion with comforting eyes. Then she shook her head, her silver locks catching the light, "What do you say to exploring the underground?"
>Addy straightend her shoulders walking more bravely into the dark forest. " Looking over at Sel and nodding thinking over this. Not sure what the underground was like but it sounded very different from what she was used yo. "As long as we aren't burrowing around like little animals it sounds interesting.">
>Sel chuckled, "Nothing like that. In fact, you wont even get your pretty tail dirty if your careful!" She snorted teasingly and then walked together with Addy, looking for the entrance to her underground world.
>Addy looked back at her tail, her hair so long that it dragged. Giving Sel a funny look. "My tail drags on the ground so its already dirty..."
>Selena smirked, flicking her tail as well. Her white curls bouncing. Their color like a light in the darkness. "Well we will have to be careful not to damage it." Then she broke into a fast paced trot, her eyes scanning all the lifted roots around her, looking for the sign.
> Breaking into a trot as she follows after Sel, chuckleing. "Well it will grow back"
>Selena nodded back to Adela and continued to look aorund, knowing it was somewhere near. She remebered her last time in the forest quite clearly, and once she explored an area, she never forgot or lost her way. Then suddenly, she found it. Again she stopped suddenly and walked up to the large, ancient tree reaching up to the sky. "Here we are..." SHe murmered and pionted the R etched in one of the roots to Addy. "This is what i was looking for."
>Chuckleing as she looks at it. "Did you used to have a different name? Cause I don't think that R is in yours." Looking from the R on the root to the R on Sel's scarf.
>"Hmm?" She looked to Addy and then to her scarf. She laughed, she had nearly forgot that she wore the scarf. She had it for so long, it had become part of her now. "The R stands for Team Rocket" She said with a fond smile, remebering all the years she had with them.
>Addy shakes her head, not knowing the team or whatever it was, but it sounded like something she didn't want to know about. "That sounds different... "
>Selena laughed, seeing Addy's expression. "it was. For someone as sheltered as yourself i doubt you would understand." She looked at her with pouted lips and teasing gleam in her eyes. "I dont think i should even tell you, it would taint your ears." She smirked evily. Hoping the young mare would give into the teasing.
>Addy just pokes her tongue out at Sel, her ears twitching. "Well if they fall off in the future I know its hanging out with you that did it." Tossing her head and giving a haughty look. It didn't last long, giving over to the laughter.
>Selena joined in with her laughter. "Your alright Addy, your alright." She chuckled and then looked back to the root and the base of the tree. "Well lets begin." She walked up closer to the base, the marked root to her left. She kept about two or three steps away from the base itself, and then, raising her leg, she struck the earth hard. It began to crumble and cave in instantly and Selena smiled.
"Entrance created." She did the same thing with some of the other gorund around the gaint tree, forming an even larger entrance.
>Addy pokes her head in the hole a little, trying to see a place to get down, looking up at Sel, not easily seeing a way. "Look like a long way down."
>Selena looked down it too, her face in a determined smile. "Just follow me, Ill tell you what to do." With that she jumped down the hole, disapearing from the world above. Really, she had landed on a ledge that the roots of the tree had created, and then jumped down the the solid earth that was only a few feet below the earth Addy was standing on. "Jump donw, keeping to the tree."
>Addy moves round to be closer to the tree, taking a breath for a moment before jumping down, very relieved when she lands on the ledge. "Ok now where to?" Looking around.
>"Just jump down," she answered, seeing Addy's tail loosly hanging off of the ledge, knowing the mare herself could not see her.
>Addy turns round so she faces away from the tree and jumps. Landing and looking around, making sure she was ok and on solid ground.
>Selena had to jump out of the way just as Addy hopped from the roots. "Ack!" She watched Addy's face she she realized she was fine and safe. Selena shook her head and laughed to herself. "Here, see that was not hard was it?" She waited for Addy's vision to adjust to the darkness as Selena's was. Though even with that, the darkness could not completely be pierced.

>Addy squinted into the dark, able to hear the faint chuckle that was Sel, not totally sure what was which way, though she was sure that she was on solid ground now. Edging forwards, hooves scraping as she does. Able to make out vague shapes after a while.
> Selena smiled, watching the young mare slightly struggle. "Here," she said coming closer to her and taking her mane into her mouth. "Soon we will have light. Just walk with me and keep close." SHe walked forward, using the mane as a leash. Her eyes which were very used to being in the dark saw much better than Addy's.
> "Uh... Okay..." Moving along feeling the heat from Sel's fur and the tug on her long mane. Bumping into her lightly as she shifted in the dark, following where she was lead.
> As Selena moved, occasionally being bumped into by Addy, she placed her hooves softly and quite slowly on the ground, feeling her way around. This would have been much easier if her bat familiar were with her. But he had flown off for the day, claiming her had some busness to attend to around the area. Then, he leg landed on a ledge. She steadied herself and let go of Addy's mane. "Close your eyes" And she did the same, then she kicked the side of the wall and the entire cieling burst with a bright, blue light.
> Addy closes her eyes when told to, having stopped dead as soon as her mane was dropped. Seeing the glow of light through her eyelids, just about resisting to open her eyes, afterall Sel rarely told her to do anything with no good reason.
> "wait a moment, for your eyes to get used to the huge change in lighting then open your eyes." She said, keeping her eyes closed for a moment as well. The first time she had come down here and found the huge population of glowworms she had gone blind for about twelve hours form the sudden change in lighting. And those glowworms were VERY bright.
> After some time had passed, she crached her eyes open a little, seeing the bright light. Closing them again for a while, eventually they were opened gradually. Blinking as the brightness reduced and she could see properly.
> Selena also opened her eyes slowly, but they still squinted at the brightness of her surrounds. She let out a satisfied sigh once her eyes finally adjusted to the bright light of the curious little creatures attached to the cieling. "Its been so long since I have traveled down here. But it has not changed in the least."
> Addy was looking around, peering at the crawlies on the wall. Smiling at Sel wen they could both see straight. "Really?!" Grinning having a good look around, rather excited now she could see.
> Sel nodded and began to move forward. "I wonder if any one else has ever stumbled upon this world other than me." SHe whispered to herself. "Com'n" she said, turning and saying it to Addy, "DOnt fall behind, this place is huge."
> Addy nods and falls into step with her. "Sure I'm not going anywhere without you... Definately dont want to get lost and end up eating the worm things." Pulling a face, imagining them tasting really horrid.
> Selena walked along, looking up at the cieling with slight wonder. SHe remebered the awe she first held for the place when she had found it as a foal herself. It was so magical at the time. Now it was too, like there was no such thing as reality, but she knew there was. And that made the innocenct of this magical kingdom of the underworld a bit less pure. Like a sweet lie. "The glow worms are about the most dangerous things in here. That ive come across at least." There was maybe a badger or two down here, but those were not harmful.
> Addy nods, wandering along in awed silence. Looking around, taking in the stone walls and ceeling, finding it hard to think that everything was on top of this. Worrying for a moment that everythign was going to cave in, but she calmed herself from that worry, afterall it was still here after however long so no need to worry.

Suddenly, the slim corridor they had been in opened into a great round chamber! Stalactites and stalagmites holding up the ceiling like pillars.
>Addy walked with Sel, in awe at the glowing creatures above her. Not noticing the thoughts on Selena's face. When they entered the great chamber her jaw dropped. It was so amazing! She wondered how something so beautiful could be hidden under the ground.
>Selena looked around the room, it had changed form when she had last seen it. Erosion she assumed. Suddenly her eye was caught by a crack in the wall. She rushed over and looked inside. Indeed, what was in there was what she had been looking for.
>Addy had not even noticed her companion rushing over to the other side of the room. She walked up next to her, seeing the crack as well.
>Selena took a step back for addy to see the crack. "There is a treasure in there, a treasure i had found as a young foal but never had the strength to get it out. Look inside and see." she told her with a bit of an evil smirk
>Adela looked at Sel as if she was a bit loopy, but then remember how, even though she did sounds odd , most of the time she was right about the topic at hand. She took a look inside.
>Selena smiled and looked at her, "Well? What do you see?"

msn >Addy peets into the crack, shifting her head round to see what was in there, only able to see some kind of twolegger necklace, or it might be two. Wondering why a twolegger would put something they wore round their necks into a wall in a cave. "You mean this pendant thing?
>Selena smiled mechiviously. "Yes. Its an ancient necklace, I assume. Probably belonged to some tribe or old cizilization that was destroyed or slowly died off." She looked into the crack once more, "See the jem in the center? That is what I was, and am, after."
>Addy looks at Sel. "So materialistic..." Shaking her head and backing away from the crack. "How do you plan to get it out?"
>"Like this." Selena turned, her back facing the wall and lifted her back legs suddenly. Kicking the wall with a great force. The rock crumbled and fell and the crack turned into an entrance.
>Addy shakes her head, not sure she wanted to know what Sel wanted te twolegger thing for. Turning and looking around the rest of the cavern.
>Sel took the necklace in between her teeth and smiled at Addy. "I have whet I wanted. Id there somewhere you wanted to go?"
>Addy shakes her head. "Not really, I was just dreading to think what you were going to get up to with that..."
>Selena chuckled mysteriously. "To put it down to basics. Trading." She turned and looked back to the hallway they had come from. "Are we on our way back then?"
>Addy nods and shrugs happy to follow along after her
>Selena nodded and began walking back to the opening near the ancient tree, the necklace gently swaying in her mouth. Once they reached the dark part, she moved towards the wall to keep on track and not risk losing her prize. And near the ledger she jumped up once, and once more and found herself to be once more on the surface.
>Addy follows along sticking to the wall, stopping dead when Sel's presance vanished from in front of her, realising she now had to jump up things she could not see. Making a groaning noise, trying to feel things out tentatively with one of her front hooves.
>Selena looked down after the moment when she had expected Addy to appear passed. "You alright?"
>"Sure... just trying to find my way... afterall I cant see and you just vanished..." Not able to hide the grumble in her voice, thinking it would be just perfect if there was a bottomless pit and she fell down and broke everything.
>Sleena chuckled and dropped back donw gracefully. "Here come closer to the left wall, yup, now lift up your right leg and find the ledge, yes just like that! And hop!" She jumped up with Addy, "Next ledge. Turn around since this one is next to the tree. Lift leg and find it and jump!" ANd together they were back up on the suface.
>Adela landed on the surface with Sel, looking mildly grumpy at having been left behind. "Well no broken bones so thats good..."
>Selena chuckled and shook her mane out of her eyes. "Sorry bout that, I am used to having my companions from Team Rocket around with me on expaditions like this. And they are all used to having no light and having to deal with dangerous situations on their own."
>Addy biting her tongue, smiling regardless. "Oh well sorry for not being part bat"
>Selena laughed, "No worries!" The thought entertained her. Since each of her Rocket commerades did infact have bat familiars. Just like she had Lurnu. But with all the situations and missions they had completeed with no day light at all, they probably were all bat by now. "Ive always had good eye sight in the dark, genetics i suppose. Or my mom just mated a nocturnal creature."
>Addy shrugged. "Well you are somewhat odd..." meaning it in jest though, her eyesight not good in tiotal darkness but then she had had no reason to be skulking around in the pitch black, neither did she or had she ever had a familiar.
>Selena laughed again, "I take that as a compliment! I would have to be unoriginal." She stuck out her tongue and then turned to start walking out of the forest.
>Addy after a moment trots after Sel, not totally sure which way home was. But tagging along till she knew where she was would be ok she hoped.
>Selena walked along in a slow, smooth trot. Her mind thinking about all the fond memories of Team Rocket Addy had brought on. She slowly moved towards the edge of the forest, and from there she decided to take Addy home. After all, it WAS very late.
>Once she knew where she was Addy smiles at Sel. "Well I'm off, it was fun, maybe somewhere with more light next time hmm?"
>Sel nodded politely in farewell. "Hopefully. Glad you enjoyed yourself." She turned and marched off back into her night.
