Man, this was one slam-bang episode!
Each of the Turtles' nightmares were pretty cool, but Donny's kinda confused me. Are they implying Donny has a thing for Angel? She looks a little older in this ep, so that may be what they're getting at.
Raph as Shredder... great Image reference. I hope they make a figure of him. Tentacle Leo, too (should give Leo's female fans a little something to look forward to... blaugh )
I thought Leo's first nightmare sucked. But when Splinter turned evil and he was force to kill him? Fuggin' OUCH. And you could see that katana poking up on the other side of his kimono, which made it all the more painful.
Anyway, does anyone else think the Turtles went to Hell? The dead walk. The inscription above the door was the same as the one at the gates of Hell in Dante's Inferno. Your worst fears come to life. And when that old dude (forget his name) was younger, he LOOKED like Devil May Cry's Dante.
Next week: so Dr. Chapman upgraded the Mousers, eh? Interesting...

I thought both of Leo's nightmares were great, first he is helpless and has to watch Splinter die, then he has to kill Splinter himself. Ralfs dream while not as good as leos was also really good. Nice inner evil idea they were going for with that one. Mikey's was nice too, shows that he does have respect for Leo. Don's however was a disapointment, I believe they could have came up with a far better nightmare for don.

I agree, I loved this episode. THey came up with very interesting nightmares or fears for each one of the turtles. It just seems like I have seen or heard of that plot line before from somewhere... I don't know, maybe I am imagining things again. Just like in real life when I think I see mikey. *sees something out of the corner of her eyes* MIKEY!

Just like in real life when I think I see mikey. *sees something out of the corner of her eyes* MIKEY! Loved the Luke Skywalker reference in Raph's nightmare -- though it does show that he should be more aware that his anger could take him down the same path as Shredhead. And could it also be a visual reference to the stint as Shredder that Raph had in the Image comic books? (Inquiring minds want to know! ninja )
Delaney, have you (by any chance) read a fanfic titled "Sojourn"? It's the sequel to one titled "Dark Journeys" -- they are both fanfics I have yet to post in the fanfic topic, due to the fact that their author has her page down for construction. *cough* Anyways . . my real point is that some of this nightmarish stuff seems like things they have happen in one or both of those fics (ex: Leo killin' a family member, Raph - and Casey, btw, being shown as evil, and Mikey having to deal with lots of things with tails and/ or tentacles). That's what popped into my head, at least, when I saw it. sweatdrop

fjht frankly, i thought that the story of "the darkness within" moved way to fast, it should have been a two parter You know . . it might have actually worked better that way, fjht, . . . maybe the fact that they couldn't give Don a really good nightmare (couldn't they have done something to do with computers!? ala Matrix, even, or something!?) scared them off? Maybe we'll never know! *shrugs*

Oh my! eek That not only sounds perfect for Donnie -- heck, maybe just having everyone else sound like they're speakin' in gibberish would prob'ly do a number on him! -- you were waxin' Mikey there for a moment! Didn't he say "-- Don's lost his techno-mojo! Sad, really!" in an episode?
