Skye was in bed pretending to be asleep. She knew Serah would be sneaking out soon she always did, every night that girl seemed to sneak off and stay out late. Once Skye even stayed up all night so she knew when Serah got back though she regretted it. Class was hell when you hadn't exactly slept much the day before. Serah must always be tired. Either way Skye was going to find out where her room mate kept sneaking off to.
So she lay in her bed facing the wall listening carefully waiting for Serah to get up and go like she always did. Knowing Skye's luck today will be the day that Serah decides to stay in and be a good girl but chances are she would go. Skye was certain there was a boy involved and she hoped her friend didn't have a Hillworth boyfriend, oh how horribly terrible that would be.
Skye had planned well for today, she was wearing her sports gear as it was the easiest and quietest things to move around in. Over the top though she was wearing her night dress so that Serah would have no reason to be suspicious. In fact the only suspicious thing would probably have been how early Skye had gone to bed today.

Serah rubbed her eyes, making the littlest noise possible as she got up from her bed, unlocking the door. Serah always took the door, in fear of Skye waking up. Surprisingly, her roommate never seemed to. After all, if Skye woke up when Serah opened the window to escape, she might be wondering if Serah was pondering suicide. After all, they were in the dorm rooms upper level. Brown eyes blinked at the unmoving form in the bed, as it to double-check and closed the door after herself with a small click. It was then that she went down the stairs to the first-story and climbed out of the window. Naturally, Crystal Academy had it's dorm entrance and exits locked. But there was one window that Serah had rigged to open whenever needed.
She took off her night dress, revealing a stylish black top with a decently-low mini skirt. She tucked it in her bunny purse, folding the dress in a neat manner. She took out her bunny hairclip, tying her hair up in the side-tail that she often preferred, fussing over the hairstyle for a good long bit. After all, when she henshined-down, she didn't want to be caught in her lame nightdress! What a ridiculous thought! Tonight was the night she surveyed the city and decided her next area of attack. To do that, she should survey from the grounds to see the population of the area. Rooftops were only good when you wanted to attack secretly, hence her un-henshined form. It was also a chance for her to have some fun as well~ Good thing, the town was close by or she would have to walk a long distance indeed.

Skye smiled as she heard her roommate get up and open the door. Once the door was shut again Skye jumped out of bed and took her night clothes off, leaving them in the bed, she slipped some comfortable shoes on and opened the door a little. She watched Serah disappear down the stairs and so followed happily, being careful and moving as quietly as she could.
Now being Skye her sports gear that she was wearing cost a stupid amount of money and emphasized all those important body parts. She was so self absorbed that she had to look amazing even when wearing sports, otherwise she wouldn't even bother leaving her room.
As she reached the bottom of the stairs, cursing a couple of times that she should have cleaned her shoes, though why she would have only Skye knew, she saw Serah leaving through a window. A window? She was climbing out a window? Well Skye was going to have to follow. She waited till Serah was out the window and gave her time to walk off a little before rushing to the window. She didn't want to climb out a window, how... how... not like her. Well she could always go back to bed. No! She wanted to know who this boy was and so she climbed out the window cursing herself for doing such stupid things. She then took off after Serah. She could see Serah was dressed somewhat differently now and so there had to be a boy, there just had to be!

After adjusting her bunny hairpin just a few more times.. a brightly lit store caught Serah's eye. She detoured towards the candy store, unable to shake off the nagging feeling of another presence on the street besides herself. But she assured herself it was probably the store-owner as Serah bought a bag of candy that was sickeningly plentiful for a single person.
She imediately started eating some on her departure out of the store, the colorful mix of jellybeans, gummy worms, sour patch kids and who knows what else stood out brightly against her dark outfit. She reasoned, sugar gave her energy to survey the area after all.
She stood alone, in the middle of a popular dating area, littered with horrifyingly sweet affectionate couples. Oh, for crying out loud, keep those displays of affection private please. although.. with each couple so wrapped up in their own affairs, it almost wouldn't matter if you pulled a couple out of the way... Hm. This area had potential. But she needed to check out the other areas first. To anyone else, she may have seemed like a wandering child although she would have told you that she wasn't a child. ARGH if someone went up to her saying that, especially a "helpful" couple, she would hit them with her bag of candy!

Skye followed at a distance and watched her go in the candy store and then back out again. She then saw Serah seem to glance around and so she literally grabbed the nearest guy and kissed him. Luckily he was about their age and seemed to think it was his lucky day. Shame the poor kid never stood a chance. As soon as Serah turned to look a different way Skye pushed the guy away, "Sorry you need to work on your kissing." She then blew the boy a kiss before walking off. Oh why did she do that, he really was bad at kissing. At least she hadn't been seen!
She managed to reach the sweet shop and just hid in the shadows, she scanned the area and saw another guy on his own she could fling herself at need be. Oh this was fun, it was really fun! She was stalking someone as if she were hunting but she got to flirt with guys that didn't stand a chance at the same time. She should follow Serah more often, would be much more fun!

Some red-haired girl had thrown herself at some male and left him dazed. But before Serah could notice anything further, the couple seemed to break off. Hm.. That girl had looked a little familiar.
Soon Serah saw that it wasn't just her imagination--- Some movement in the shadows had Serah swinging around, her guard ready as she stepped closer to the source of movement. Oh gosh, was it a stalker? Serah wasn't nearly pretty enough or attractive enough to draw a stalker. Lifting her bag of candy as if it was some sort of lethal weapon, she examined the face in the shadows. She was quite used to attacking from the shadows, the practice gave her satisfactory night vision. A gasp of surprise immediately escaped her as she realized who was hiding in the shadows.
"... Skye?" She asked, her surprised tone mingled with suspicion broke the silence. Wait-- was Skye spying on Serah? Remembering the brief sight before her of a red-haired girl darting away from a male, Serah reached a second conclusion. "Are you that girl who just kissed a random guy? Honestly, random guys are not the best guys to make a move on." She lowered the bag of candy to her side, brown eyes glancing over Skye's uh-- suspicious appearance.

She was seen? Oh darn it!
"Well I am sure you would know all about random guys and things wouldn't you? So where is your guy? He hiding about somewhere?" She was being slightly demanding but she was really annoyed that she had been spotted. Well she wanted to find out about Serah's boyfriend and well now she was just confronting her about it.
As for Skye kissing a random guy, well it was kind of fun at the time!

"Where's my guy..?" She was confused, partially about Skye's demanding manner and partially about her words. She pieced it together seconds after saying it out loud, laughter bubbling to her lips. "Oh me? With a guy? I'm afraid that's not hapening for awhile. Although as for you.. I'm sure we can find a boyfriend for you tonight." Serah chuckled, arranging her skirt neatly as she ate some more candy.
"Did you follow me out here, thinking I would have a boyfriend for you to gossip about? Cause you'll be sorely disappointed, I'm sure." Serah assured her flippantly and took a seat on a nearby bench.

"You don't have a boyfriend? Then where are you sneaking off to every night?" Yes Skye had noticed and now she was confused. As for her getting a boyfriend.... no thank you!
"I don't think any of these guys are good enough for me, though doesn't mean we couldn't play a bit." She smiled and turned to face a random guy until he looked her, she then winked and blew him a kiss before chuckling again. She really wasn't that interested in guys but it didn't mean she wouldn't flirt. After all flirting was fun!
"Anyway you, I find it hard to believe you don't have a boyfriend.... oh no wait... you have a girlfriend don't you? I honestly wouldn't have had you down to sway that way!" It was as if Skye had a revelation or something. She found it hard to believe there was any other reason for Serah to be sneaking out.

Whoops. Her roommate did notice after all. Shoot, Serah should have used the boyfriend excuse. It would have made more sense. But as Skye continued on, Serah could only burst out in more laughter, this time, it teared her up. Her finger wiped away a stray tear, her other hand clutched her stomach as she finally ceased her laughter.
"Oh, trust me, I don't. I assure you, I dont 'swing that way.'" She leaned against the back of the bench, her mind trying to work quickly to give a plausible excuse. "Well, I have this uh.. job, you know? And my parents don't exactly approve of me having any sort of job.. so I work at night to attract less attention. They think I'm peacefully sleeping at Crystal Academy and I would prefer to leave it that way." In this sentence held a warning for Skye, if she picked up on it. "Sometimes, I'm off and since I usually can't sleep anyways, I head out to have fun like this." She gestured, wondering if her nosy roommate would keep this secret.
Technically, Serah didn't lie. She just didn't tell the complete truth. But a smile hid the condescending feeling behind her soft smile, how she really went out at nights to take advantage of curious girls like Skye.

Skye looked at her curiously, a job? She had a job?
"You have a job and sneak out a window to get there? Well your choice I guess, personally I can't stand jobs, seem silly really when I have daddy's card." She then smiled and continued. "I am glad you don't swing that way though, you had me worried there for a second!" Skye didn't really have anything against lesbians, in fact she seemed to be swinging that way but she had appearances to keep up.
"Oh and don't worry I won't tell your parents, I know what parents are like sometimes!" She adored her parents, loved them loads but they had sent her here after all!
"So when you say fun... what do you do for fun?" Skye was curious, if it involved flirting she would be up for it. Flirting was fun, lots of fun but Serah might not be in to that kind of thing.

Well, ordinary labor wasn't Serah's forte either. Not when she had her plastic bunny card. She was quite glad that the other girl took her explanation without too much questions, sighing in a satisfied manner softly.
She sorta envied Skye. Skye actually liked her parents. Honestly, Serah loved her parents. As parents. But if you asked her if she liked them as people, she would honestly have to say.. not really. She held out her bag of candy, offering Skye some as she considered the Skye's question.
"Hm. Surprising people can be quite fun. But usually, anything's fun. It's not like I have a set definition. Got anything in mind?" Serah asked the other. Now that Skye was here, her surveying of the area would have to be quite discreet. But it was a nice change as to coming out alone. Hm. Serah should think about dragging out Tisi for more outings. If only Skye was a negaverse.. Serah wouldn't feel quite so uneasy about trying to sneak out every night (and it obviously hadn't worked since Skye knew all along) and passing off such easily forged lies. No, she didn't feel bad about lying. If she had lied to someone she had only met and would never see again, it was fine. But to tell a lie to someone she saw often and how Serah could easily mess up her lie-- well, that was the problem.
But hey.. It was quite useful to have a rommmate sort of "in on the secret." Chances were, if Serah wasn't found in her room, Skye might be able to cover for her. There were benefits to this situation.

Skye took something from the bag that was being offered to her, after all it wasn't like she was sleeping so it was fine to have sugar now they were going to be wandering around. This was all rather strange to Skye and she felt slightly rebellious which was something she hadn't felt before. She was always 'good' in her sense of the word anyway.
"Maybe we could just wander for a bit? I haven't seen the town at night before as some of us tend to sleep at night!" She chuckled a bit looking around. There were some guys around that she could flirt with but she actually wanted to spend time with her roommate, they didn't spend that much time together and really Skye wanted to know more about her.
"So why do you have a job? I thought you were quite well off." Skye had to ask, it really was bugging her why someone would want to work. She knew some people took jobs just to 'fit in' as it were but Skye thought that would be a silly reason for someone their age. She was sure Serah had a good reason though and wouldn't pry too much, to be fair the question was more aimed at the 'well off' bit then the job part. Skye wanted to know about Serah's home life.

Serah grinned as Skye's humorous comment, standing up as she suggested they wander. Again, she straightened out her wrinkled skirt from sitting on the bench and flicked her hair over her shoulder.
"Oh, I don't do it for the money. Of course, I'm well off. We are Crystal Academy girls after all." Serah pointed out since there was very few girls in population at their prestigious school who weren't rich. If anything, others were on scholarships of some sort.
"I do it for fun. How do I put this.. Just going out and school is pretty boring. Having a job teaches you a whole bunch of new stuff that Crystal Academy's snobbish lessons don't teach you, you know? It's not like my parents are going to teach me much except how to drink tea in some heavily formal manner." She tried to explain, although one could reason that Serah's job didnt teach her too much. Except how to fight a bit and how to deal with pain. But putting that aside.. "Jobs aren't the worst thing a Crystal Academy girl can do. In fact, it's quite fun!""

"Fun? Are you being serious?" Skye really wasn't expecting that answer, nope. Work being fun just wasn't something that Skye would ever accept. She liked the not working approach and after all she never had to work when she was at home, well of course on the odd occasion she cleaned her horse out and washed him down but other then that... she was just a spoilt kid.
"You are officially odd now then. Seriously, working being fun? I find that hard to believe. Why don't you want your parents to know? I mean I guess I kind of work when I help at the soup kitchen but I feel I have to give something back ya know? Though to be honest I hate it there, some of the old homeless men stink and the way they look at you. It's disgusting!" Skye enjoyed flirting with guys, but not them, no they were creepy and she was sure she would get stalked by one of them one day. The way they looked at her!
"That isn't fun though. I do it because it looks good." She didn't see a problem with admitting that to Serah. Skye liked Serah, she seemed like a decent enough person. As far as Skye was concerned they were on the same wave length and so trustworthy to a point anyway.
