Everyone... tell me the truth.
Do you think I'm special? Or worthless? Or useless?

No one in here really knows you anyway, so it's hard for people to give you an answer with any credibility.

Well, it's like Icy says. We really don't know you, so it's not really our call to make.
Besides, judging your worth on whether or not you're recognized on dA isn't exactly the best system of standards. If it was, I'd be an alcoholic hobo.
The people of the world are many and varied. Some people are 'special', as you might say. Some are geniuses, prodigies. Some dedicate their lives to great works of humanity and some try to save the world. But just because there are great people in the world doesn't make a single person's worth any less.
It is a fact you must face, that we all must face. There are millions of people in the world who will never know our names, will never know our talents, or even care that we exist. There are just too many people to care about every single one. You're head and heart would break.
But as long as you yourself know where you stand in life, know that you are alive and that, in just that little fact, means you 'matter', and as long as you realize that, though there are millions who will never know you, there are a handful whose world has been inexorably changed by you, a handful that love you more than anything and would be devastated to lose you, then I think it means you're special. We are the center of our own little worlds. It makes us matter to ourselves and our loved ones. Recognize that the world is large, but remember your own worth, and don't let others judge it for you.
neutral I know. I was surprised at how long that fortune cookies was, too, when I got it.

Though I agree with Ming and Ice, I feel the need to speak for myself. I believe in equality and because of that I learned to accept a simple fact: No one person is greater than I, and I am no greater than any person. With that said, as harsh as one may think this is, I must say I don't really see you as special since I don't see myself as that either. Unique on the other hand, well that's another story. In a sense, I kind of see life as a puzzle and we as people are the pieces. We all have a place we fit into just right around people that fit with us. Whenever someone dies, a piece of that puzzle is lost forever and when ever someone is born, and new piece is made. Now back to you. As I said before I believe in equality and because of that I can honestly say I don't see a single living thing as useless or worthless dispite what my friend, James, keeps telling me. Just as I said before, we are like puzzle pieces and somewhere you will fit just right.

This is just my perspective, but i believe anyone is interesting and special in my book. There will always be something about you that will interest people, okay? So what if some jerk hurt you on dA! You got lots of people here in Gaia that will complement you. I don't want anyone to think about themselves badly!
Putting this out there, if any of you need someone to talk to about experiances, talk to someone you trust. And if it seems you can't trust anyone, talk to me.

I'm on DA too and I never received a gift or been gifted with premium membership, but I don't think I'm worthless. Don't listen to people who you meet online. Listen to your family and your true friends.
